Ive been playing this game alot cause my Wii is broken, i figured id makea review of it and its countless flaws
Story: pretty much the only good thing about it. It starts off as you, 007 (Pierce Brosnan 007), and some soldiers in a helicopter headedto Fort Knox to stop Goldfinger from doing whatever he was trying to do in the Goldfinger movie. (1st flaw, it shouldnt be Pierce Brosnan as 007, it should be the dude from Goldfinger). So your heli gets hit and you crash into theroof of Fort Knox, somehow you're safe and sound on a staircase while 007 falls to his death and gets crushed by the heli. So you fight your way through Fort Knox and the bomb actualy goes off this tiime, with you still inside the complex. Somehow Francisco Scaramunga is the guy that saves you. At MI-6 you're told that you are directly responsible for the deathof 007and you get fired, as you walk away you pull out a pice of paper that says "The offer's still open - Goldfinger". So then you end up working with Goldfinger, Oddjob and Pussy Galore to kill Dr. No
Story rating: 8/10
Gameplay: The controls aresimilar to any other FPS on the Gamecube, except you cant jump, ever, well except for in cutscenes. The D-pad has a use that seems awesome at first, but later you realize it sucks more than Marnix in a room full of guys, ill explain later. Your enemies are extremely OP. Like if you shoot an explosive barrel while standing next to one its an instant kill, try doing that to an enemy, they fall over, get up and kill you. Also, killing one of them takes at least 5x longer than it takes them to kill you, even with full body armour. There's also like these airship things that appear everywhere, and somehow they can get into a casino
Gameplay rating: 2/10
Weapons: I dont know if they enemies are just that OP or the weapons just suck. You can dual wield weapons, i suggest using the Jackal-.45 and the HS-90, be cause any other combo just sucks ass. The default pistol is shitty, your enemies can survive a point blank shot to the chest with a 12-guage, the AR is a 2-3 hitter, but its almost impossible to hit a guy 3 times because its horribly innacurate. The rocket launcher has only 3 shots, and you cant pick up ammo for it. There's a gun called the Venom 200ml, and if you get hit it makes you move as slowas a fucking turtle for 5 seconds, wich, coincidently is a little longerthan the required timeto shoot you down. And past the 4th mission, every 2nd guy has it. The best gun other than the aforementioned combo is the minigun, but finding ammo for it is like finding a needle in a haystack. Now for the aforementioned D-pad use: In the explosion or something gold got in your eye or something like that and Fransisco Scaramunga managed to give you 4 abilities with it or something like that. The first is left on the D-pad, it gives you the ability to see baddies through walls and shtuff, but has limited range and drains your Eye Power wich is a number in the middle of the power icons. The second is Machine Hack, whch is pretty useful. You can activates switches from afar, fuck with your enemies guns so they dont work and make a wall mounted turret shoot your enemies and not you, however 1 use takes up 50% of your Eye Power. the 3rd is a shield, and whoever programmed it is fucking retarded. Without getting hit, it will deplete your Eye Power in about 30 seconds. If you're in combat, that shrinks to about 3 seconds. The 4th and final one is Magnetc Field. It lets you throwpeople around, but one use takes 75% of your eye power.
Weapons rating: 5/10
Multiplayer: Thie is the best part of the game, except for that fact that you have to play the impossible campaign over and over to unlock decent maps and skins, or you can find cheats online to do that which is what i did. Its fun because you get to play against people that dont kill you within a few seconds of seeing you. There's different modes, like Team Deathmatch and Domination, which is basically a firefight.
