It serves as an excellent sidearm and counter-infantry weapon. As opposed to the standard M7S SMG, the M7S SMG - ONI Variant is effective up to 175 feet. This weapon is standard issue on all ONI ships as of 2555. ONI marines usually do not carry this weapon but this weapon is very popular with ODSTs and Agents, as every ODST and Agent carries one. Director Vernette's Personal Notes Identical in almost every way to the standard M7 SMG with exception to the scope and the silencer. THis gun is very popular with ODSTs. The silencer makes it ideal for special operations. My brother Tye loves this weapon...but he treats it less like a special application weapon, and more like a pistol. He is the only ODST I have seen that likes to dual weild this weapon. The bastard may not take this weapon's application seriously...but he is an artist with it. -Director Vernette
