So I was wondering, and this was a topic brought up at work, but I was just wondering what everyone's belief on how the world will end and when. I am thinking we're gonna nuke ourselves within the next 50 years.

I'm just dispelling the myth that the Aztecs predicted Dec 21, 2012 as the end because they didn't have any leap years, so the date they predicted has already passed. Anyways, I personally believe we're going to drain the earth of fossil fuels, and not be quick or well prepared enough to recover and just run out. That or we melt all ice and raise the temperature. Or the sun eats us in a couple million years. Your pick.

I know how the world will end. I am from the future and I am here to stop it. The question is...should I kill my past self to stop it? After I destroyed the world...it was so lonely being the only living person. I think it was a mistake to destroy the Earth from my orbital command station. I decided to build a time machine and come back in time to stop myself. April 28th 2014 at 8:19 pm Eastern Time is zero hour. Do you think I should do it? Should I kill my past self to save the future of man kind?

So that is the correct date, according to the Mayans. And as for Jon's travel theory. When you go into the past, you jump universal threads, so this past is different from the past you intended to go to. You may or may not end up destroying the world again. But go ahead and kill your different dimensional past. It won't affect your present in the past from the future self. The world is going to come to a near end when 99.75% of the world population becomes mindless retards. The elite .25% will takeover and kill off 94.75% of the population and make the retards their slave army.

And, I'm going to add into the past/timeline thread here. I feel that if you go back into the past, you essentially create a mirror universe. Sort of the same concept "First Contact" used where in that even though the future the Enterprise crew knew and loved was destroyed, but because they went through time, and obviously a different future. But in turn, if you killed yourself in this dimension instead of yours, then you would, inevitably, have no effect on killing your present/future self because of that alternate timeline idea.
