The fact remains the same. There is a reason there is a girls washroom and a boys washroom. There is a reason there is girls camp and boys camp. It is like this because girls and guys have different needs...and they are vastly different. They require separation to prevent any wrong-doing or mishaps. I don't agree with girls/guys joining guys/girls teams. The two genders are vastly different, and the state of our society, with laws, and legal bias, mixing the two can have dangerous consequences. It's very easy for a girl to say a guy made inappropriate passes at her. You want to raise hypothetical scenarios, here is one for you. ******************** On a male football team, a female player gets tackled by a male. Any type of "touching" could be seen as a sexual act. Biology 101 states that elevated hormone levels in both male and females are caused by physical excretion...also known as sweating. This is why we sweat during sex, each partner is basically lust drunk due to the others hormones being excreted at a highly elevated level. This makes the euphoria all the better. Now what if that guy gets an erection as a result of this? Teenage males, with out-of-control hormones, in close contact to a female who is further elevating his hormones. What if this girl is tackled by someone she doesn't like? What if she is just a bitch? What is stopping her from claiming this guy fondled her during or after the tackle? ******************** You are opening Pandora's box when you mix and match genders like this. If we have mix-gender teams, why not have mix-gender bathrooms or camps? Would you feel good knowing your young daughter shares a bathroom, or even a bunkhouse at a camp with a male or vice versa? You want to talk about equality and fairness? This is more a matter of personal safety.

okay i agree with you but im not talking about safety im talking about fairness guys will always GET THE SPECIAL treatment.. they see woman as objects instead of human beings.. i mean they think the menstrual cycle is gross and they laugh at us.. but if the guys had that.if they did! no one would make fun of it! and why? because this society is crazy!

while i agree society is fucked up the ass, you are making many steryotypes right now. you seem to be saying all men are sexist, that all guys see women as objects, that all men get "special treatement". what about gays? guys with mental defects? genetic defects? what about the guys that dont fit into the "cool" crowd? i was ridiculed to no end in gr. 6, and never tried to fall in with the "cool" people again. if guys had periods girls would laugh at us. and really, mixed gender teams in contact sports should be a subject left out of the "equality" schpiel because of the fact that it interferes with the safety of both the guys and the girl/s. Feminists need to step back and look at the whole Human Rights bill and take the other parts of it into account when demanding for equality
