[Halo] New! San Angeles RPG

[Naked Crook]

Xyrho: I do not believe it would be wise to call them allies. That is a dangerous line of thinking on an already dangerous course of action. Xyrho paused. Xyrho: Like I said before, Vanguard, and its acolytes, are our main targets. The Humans that are here, fighting against Vanguard, should not be considered our main targets, but we cannot consider them our allies, that is, we cannot rely on them to NOT try and kill us on sight. Xyrho paused again. He let out a sign as he began to pace back and forth. Xyrho: To be clear...we are here to stop Vanguard. Everything else should be considered secondary.

"Yes, shipmaster." Urran answered, drawing his repeater after holstering his rifle. Increased power at range seemed to be the smart choice despite the quarters. "Where would they be keeping it, I wonder..." The SPARTAN nodded. "Sir, I can take point," he suggested. "If anyone has any traps set up-- I have knowledge of how to disarm them."

[Kairu]

Vhat had silently been with the group. He remained quiet, listening to the ideas. He wasn't comfortable with the destruction of a Holy Relic, but Xyrho insists that it's evil and that Vhat's beliefs are misguided. Until he was face to face with Vanguard, he wouldn't even begin to understand the scope that Xyrho was seeing the galaxy through.

[Naked Crook]

Xyrho paused, as he considered the question. Xyrho: I cannot say for sure... Xyrho paused. Xyrho: However...there is a way to find it... Xyrho reached to his belt, and pulled out a small drone. He used one of his thumbs to activate the drone, as he tossed it into the air, and watched as it flew off. Xyrho: It is a tool of the Prophets. It is used to seek out the "holy" relics, and report on their location. If Vanguard is on this ship...the drone will find it, and it will reveals it to us. While we wait for that revelation...we will begin to move through this vessel, and purge it of Vanguard's acolytes. Vanguard then looked at Vhat and Urran. Xyrho: Engage active camo...and take point. reveal yourselves only after I have engaged in battle.

Acker watched as the three troops he sent into the room ran towards the terminal, Booker got on the terminal while Pakowski and Walsh guarded his rear. Acker: Booker, give me a time frame here. Booker: We're looking at two mikes, sir. Trust security is tough, but I can clear it up. Acker: Good. Walsh, how's the deck look? Walsh: Clear for the moment, sir. I'd send Trish and Charles in now to datamine the center. Acker: Roger that, they're moving in on your six in fifteen seconds. Acker turned away from the stairwell and looked to the teams in front of him. Acker: Trish, Charles, time for you guys to datamine! Get in there, do it quickly. Security teams, lead em in! Within a few moments several soldiers began to pour into the engineering deck, each being followed by some more. Acker was the last one in, covering their rear, as they began to set up a perimeter on the deck and start datamining. Meanwhile: Ice watched as Snyder, Kader, and Madison began to get the prisoners ready for transport. Ice turned to the rest of the team. Ice: Alright, Mason, Axlon, Jesse, Traiuson, we're gonna try and regroup with Commander Vernette, see if we can't stop some more baddies. Ice turned back around. Ice: Madison, as soon as you guys get the prisoners secure, leave the ship and get them back to the King Raven. Madison: Understood, sir. We'll get it done. Ice nodded. Ice: Alright, let's move! Meanwhile: Dangerus was in his phantom with the rest of his brutes, patiently awaiting the signal from Xyrho to land his phantom. After a few minutes, he could hear the pilot yell. Brute Pilot: Chieftain, they have given us the all clear. We are heading in now. Dangerus grunted and turned to his brutes. Dangerus: When we get down there it is imperative you follow my orders. Dangerus grunted as he walked down the bay. Dangerus: There are things that must be done, humans that must be spared if we are to complete this mission. Dangerus growled. Dangerus: This is not a mission from your Prophets, this is not a mission from the elites, this is a mission from your Cheiftain! The brutes began to howl and Dangerus laughed. Dangerus: And trust me, there will be plenty of humans to kill, too! The brutes growled as the phantom landed in the hangar bay. Dangerus: Stay with me, and follow my orders. As the phantom opened, Dangerus stepped off, drawing the gravity hammer from his back. Slowly he walked over to Xyrho and the rest of the elites, as the brutes followed in behind, two by two until all twelve of his brutes were out of the phantom. Dangerus went straight to Xyrho, as the elites under his command began to move out of the way and made room for him and his brutes. Dangerus caught the last bit of Xyrho's conversation as he watched the drone fly deeper into the ship. Dangerus: Starting the fun without me, Shipmaster?

[Dark-F137]

Urran nodded, reaching over and tapping a button on his wrist. He faded into invisibility soon after, raising his repeater and starting forward.

[Naked Crook]

Xyrho looked over to Dangerus, and simply laughed. Xyrho: "Fun" is a very relative term, Chieftain. Xyrho paused. Xyrho: But yes, we are advancing forward...scouting under active camouflage. However...if you prefer a more...reckless approach...we can change tactics. Xyrho looked at Dangerus, simply waiting for the Chieftain to decide. Meanwhile: Tye led his team down the stairwell, moving as fast he could, leaping down sets of stairs, in an effort to beat ODST Black Team to the Prowler Bay. Tyber: Common...we have to hustle! We have to get to the Prowler Bay before Black Team and Nova Team does! If they get there before us, we are screwed!

[Hells Sniper]

Dangerus laughed. Dangerus: Always so formal, Shipmaster. Dangerus grunted and started to walk forward a bit, his brutes walked with him. Dangerus: You can lead the way, we'll do it your way, Shipmaster. Meanwhile: Acker moved over to Baker's position and approached him, leaning over his shoulder to see how he was doing with Trust security. Booker: I can't work any faster than this, sir. Acker chuckled. Acker: Just checking up on you, how are we looking? Booker started to type a bit faster as he brought up an image of the ship on the computer. Booker: Ten seconds til shutdown. Acker nodded and turned away, he contacted Vernette. Acker: Commander Vernette, sir. My techie is shutting down access to the prowler bay... Acker turned as he heard Booker hit the enter key, he held up a thumb's up. Acker: Now. That should slow them down, sir.

[Naked Crook]

Xyrho turned at Dangerus, and simply looked at him. Xyrho: Don't take this the wrong way Chieftain...but...knowing what I am here to destroy...the price of failure has all but subjugated my sense of humor...if I ever had one to begin with. Xyrho then paused, as he nodded. Xyrho: But...My Elites and I can take point, and lead us through the corridors. Xyrho paused. Xyrho: If you can cover us from behind, that would be ideal. Meanwhile: Tye grinned under his helmet, as he praised the news he had just received. Tyber: Excellent work Acker! That is exactly what we needed to hear! Tye paused. Tyber: We should be able to stop Black Team and Nova Team before they reach their destination. If you guys can continue to put pressure on The Trust, that would be perfect. Try and regroup with our other teams, and work with them to push back against The Trust. Keep your eyes open for their heavy hitters, and don't let yourselves get flanked. Tye paused. Tyber: If you can capture other strategic areas...that would improve our odds. Use whatever means necessary!

[Hells Sniper]

Dangerus nodded. Dangerus: They will cover the rear, I will stay with you. Dangerus turned to his brutes and nodded, as they all turned around and walked to the back of the group, getting ready to engage active camo. Meanwhile: Acker nodded when he began to speak to Tye. Acker: Roger that, sir! We're going to finish datamining the Motive and then try and regroup to take up the offensive. Ivory out!
