Meanwhile onboard Palavan's Might.
The First Mate's omni-tool begins to blink, alongside a screen of words popping up.
Commander, it's the general. He wants a word.
Raknarion stands up from his command chair, nodding firmly at the First Mate.
I'll converse with him inside the War-room. Direct him there, First Mate.
Raknarion turns to the exit of the bridge, heading into the elevator. He directs it to the War-room. Arriving to the War-room, he'd come into a room filled with officers of all ranks, all beneath him however.
All dismissed for the hour, I need the War-room now.
Everyone abruptly stops what they're doing, saluting at Raknarion as he returns the notion in a slugglishly way. By the time Raknarion was all alone, a blue coloured hologram of General Zarhlis appears.
Stand at ease, Commander. I got the reports from your First Mate, which is the only reason you're still at command of this mission still. You know very well that to bring a whole battle group of warships into the Terminus System is a sign of war. Tensions are boiling at the Citadel. I gave them a hint of what you've discovered there. Let's say it sated their need for information, for now. Now, any idea why Cerberus is in a system with only "aliens" as they call us?
Raknarion folds his hands behind his back, standing at attention.
Sir, I knew the risks, and I was more than willing to take the risk. If we're to maintain somesort of respect, we need to display dominance. It should remind the filth why they fled to Omega. And for Cerberus? I only know they want Valrot's technical assets, not him himself. I am also in the making of a plan to land a decisive blow against the 'Cerberus' terrorists after we've taken care of Valrot. Quick and hard, they won't even know what hit them and stole back the assets-...
The General interrupted him.
There won't be any reinforcements for you, Commander. The Turian Hierarchy dosen't deem Valrot important enough to send more ships to deal with him. They've yet to know the numbers of his ships, however. It might work, but it'll take time. You don't have time. Your current battle-group will have to suffice for now, Commander. Now is the time to show that you're worthy of your position Commander. General Zarhlis out.
Raknarion saluted once more, remaining in that position until the General's hologram had vanished. Raknarion curses quietly under his breath, turning his com on.
First Mate, send word for Cerberus, try to find out if they've got something.
Aye, aye, sir.
