Once Tye had finished his conversation with both Acker and Madison, he turned his attention back to his "team" and the issue at hand.
Tyber: Alright...Acker is going to try and slow Black Team down for us. If he is lucky, he will be able to buy us a fair amount of time for us to get to the Prowler Bay before BLack Team does.
Nighthawk nodded, as he spoke up.
Nighthawk: If I may ask...what was the deal with the whole "we will not need Nighthawk on this one" comment?
Tyber: Fireteam Harmony and a few others were trapped inside the medical bay. Chances are, someone tripped the biohazard containment protocols in order to either contain our people, or save The Guest Houses. Either way...we got by it.
Nighthawk: So that is what the code was for?
Tyber: To deactivate the containment protocols, yeah.
Nighthawk: Good memory.
Tyber: I tend to think so.
Tye came to a stop when he found a service stairwell.
Tyber: We are going down from here...deck 19...
Nighthawk: The axillary hanger bay...big enough for a Prowler.
Tyber: All Marathon-Class vessels are equipped with one.
Nighthawk: Typically reserved for the CO...
As Tye opened the door to the stairwell, Cameron spoke up.
Cameron: Speaking of the CO of this ship...
Tyber: Spender...yes, I know. The fact is...he is around here, but there are bigger fish to fry at the moment. If we can secure the ship, we will get him as well...eventually.
Cameron: So, the priority is stopping The Consultant and this..."Vanguard"
Tyber: If it is as dangerous as it is claimed to be, then yes. We cannot allow The Trust to procure advanced technology, with the sole intent being to use it against other Humans.
Anaconda: Wrong...
Everyone looked at Anaconda.
Anaconda: I don't care who is trying to "procure" it, whether it be The Trust, or "ANYONE" else...and I don't care what the intentions are. Vanguard cannot be allowed to exist...ever! Nobody can have it! It must be totally destroyed.
Anaconda paused.
Anaconda: Vanguard is not to be procured by ANYONE...not The Trust...not The Covenant...and not your ONI...especially not ONI...
Cameron: Why not ONI? Would it not be the safest in "their" hands?
Anaconda looked at Cameron and growled, but Nighthawk was the one who answered the question.
Nighthawk: ONI cannot get their hands on Vanguard...because The Trust hides inside of ONI's ranks. If ONI gets Vanguard...the Trust may very well end up getting Vanguard in the end. Anaconda is right...nobody should be allowed to procured ANYTHING related to Vanguard. It all has to be destroyed...all of it. Even I know better when to leave something alone.
Tye sighed, and gave a shrug.
Tyber: Fine, whatever you say. If we have to destroy it, then so be it. I don't care either way. Let's just get moving before we blow our chance to stop this thing from becoming an even bigger problem.
With that said, Tye took point, as he entered the stairwell, and began to run down the stairs.
Meanwhile:
As Xyrho's phantom engaged it's active camo, it began to accelerate towards The Ulterior Motive.
Voro: We are closing in on the Human vessel. We will make contact any moment now. Prepare yourselves for battle!
Xyrho nodded at Voro, as he turned his attention back to the other Elites.
Xyrho: Follow my instructions...and we will emerge victorious.
Xyrho paused.
Xyrho: And...do not antagonize The Chieftain or his soldiers. The last thing I need to deal with is the petty squabbling.
