Jennifer looked around, with her weapon raised, as she heard Robertson talk. SHe eventually lowered her weapon and looked at Robertson.
Jennifer: I would say that, more or less, we have this thing secured. As for who gets to deal with this thing...
Jennifer paused as she approached the Stealth generator. She holstered her sidearm, and placed a hand on the chassis of the large device.
Jennifer: You need not concern yourself. Don't ask where it is going and who will be dealing with it. As far as you are concerned...none of this happened. You will not speak of this to anyone, and this mission will go unrecorded in your personal logs. Is that clear?
Cameron looked at Jennifer, and then turned his head and looked at Robertson.
Meanwhile:
Tye began to crawl back to his feet, brushing himself off as he stood up. He looked up at the Pelican's as they flew off.
Tyber: God Damnit!
Tye shook his head in frustration. He knew that he had made a mistake by talking to Jacob and trying to get an answer out of him. He knew that he should of taken the shot. Tye scoffed.
Tyber: Treacherous bastard...
Tye looked around at all the wounded. The sight simply infuriated him more, as he knew that ALL of these casualties were 100% preventable. Tye was breathing heavily. His mind was too clouded with anger to even try and think rationally. Tye knew he had to step back and relax, but he found it far to difficult to do at the moment. Tye's adrenaline was pumping, and there was nothing he wanted more than to continue the fight and take chase.
Tye looked to the sky for a few moments before his attention was broken by the sound of what he knew was a Cyclops mech approaching his location. Tye turned, and was surprised at what he saw. He looked at Nighthawk;s Exo Suit up and down, and sighed.
Tyber: Well...that's new.
The Exo-Suit stopped, as the back of the suit depressurized, as Nighthawk jumped out, exiting the large mech. He looked around at all of the wounded, and then saw Tye. Nighthawk approached Tye, and the two exchanged a look.
Tyber: The Trust escaped.
Nighthawk: With or without Jacob?
Tyber: With...
Nighthawk: Son of a bitch. Had it not been for that prick, I would of been able to deal a serious blow to The Trust.
Tyber: Jacob also escaped with the information that was stored in the local archives of this facility. We lost our leads. He pulled the wool over our eyes, and he knifed us right in the backs.
Anaconda grunted when he heard that their leads had gone cold. He knew that they needed that information to keep The Covenant at bay, as well as keep the trail hot on The Trust.
Nighthawk: Yeah, well, Jacob can only pull that trick once. Next time I see Jacob...he is going down. I am going to put a round right in his brain.
Tyber: This is one of those rare instances where you and I agree.
Tye sighed.
Tyber: To think that you proved to be more loyal that Jacob...it boggles the mind.
Nighthawk: Not really. I have never hidden my intentions. You know where I stand. What boggles your mind is the fact that you have realized that Jacob ISN'T as loyal as he led us all to believe.
