Building a TNO Desktop Client - The New Order

Alright everyone, I have some interesting news for you all. For the past few weeks, I have been tinkering with the idea of building a TNO Desktop Client for the members of TNO. So, what exactly is a Desktop Client you ask? Well, would be a program, like a .exe, that would be designed to allow you to instantly access TNO and its services without the use of a web browser. It would allow you to post, use the shoutbox, log in, and do everything you normally could do, all from the comfort of a lightweight program and without the need for a bulky, memory intensive web browser.

With that said, I have been currently working on the Desktop Client, and it is coming along. However...I need your help. Don't worry...very little work is involve so all you lazy people out there don't have to do anything.

All I want is ideas. What would YOU consider to be a useful feature of a TNO Desktop Client? Send me some ideas, and help me brainstorm. If I see an idea that I really like, that I think would make the TNO experience better, and even help to streamline the lives of TNO members, I will consider putting it in. You are free to post anything you wish.

As I was thinking just awhile ago, will this include EVERYTHING from TNO, or just the core basics like shoutbox, forum posting, and inbox?

1.The Wiki.

Editing, revising, viewing, recording, all of it. That wiki needs to be included, it's a Godsend when writing during the RPG. Plus, I love it.

2. I don't know if this is possible, but somewhere on the page, it shows the last post (or two or three posts) the NHRPG has, and it has a quick reply box right underneath it.

3. A new theme! Again, if possible. Forerunner/Infinity/one based around Halo 4.

I can agree with those also. I would also love the Auto-Show of replies in the thread so I don't have to continuously refresh the page ^^ I know how everyone gets and the occasional burst of posts.

I can tell you this much (as I am using the desktop client right now) is that I have access to the full range of TNO. I can do everything rhw web version can do.

However...I do like Snipers idea about having the last few posts in the NHRPG visible. That is something I could do for sure.
