Xyrho looked over his shoulder at Dangerus. He then looked at Vhat' Xyrho: Major...you should know your place. To show such blatent disrespect to someone in authority is... Xyrho paused. Xyrho: Without honor. Xyrho paused again. Xyrho: We are all on the same side Major. We have enough enemies on this world. Do not create more by surrendering to such...petty rivalry. In the end, we fight for the same cause. With that said, Xyrho looked at Dangerus. Xyrho: Chieftain...you look...battle tested... Xyrho noticed a few wounds on Dangerus, as well as some scathing on his armor. Xyrho: I can relate... Xyrho paused. Xyrho: I was thrown off the roof by a Black Stalker. As you can see...my armor needs to be replaced. Xyrho made clear reference to the amount of damage on his armor.

Dangerus nodded. He was familiar with the Stalker. Dangerus: A traitor to us as well, Zealot. He gave me a few of the wounds you see here... Dangerus grunted. Dangerus: In any case, we have some data mining to do.

Xyrho: I plan on having this building data mined immediately. Xyrho turned and looked at Voro, and Vhat' Xyrho: Voro, Vhat'...proceed to the sub-basement. Locate the where the humans store all of their tactical information. When you have found it...wait there for the engineers to arrive. Voro nodded. Voro: Yes, Ship Master Xyrho... Voro looked at Dangerus, and then simply walked off, expecting Vhat' to follow in tow. Voro: Let's go Major...we have our orders... Xyrho watched as the two Elites walked off. He then looked back at Dangerus. Xyrho: Speaking of the traitor...I have heard rumors of him...but...nothing I could depend on as quality information. I always found it difficult to discuss the matter with Brutes. They tend to just growl, and curse at me...right before walking off. I guess it is not something your kind likes to talk about. Xyrho shook his head. Xyrho: What could ever posses one of your kind to work with...food?

Dangerus shook his head. Dangerus: There have been moments when brutes have seen humans as formidable opponents. I am sure elites have seen it as well. Dangerus shrugged. Dangerus: My kind is aggressive, I give you that. But we also know who can put up a fight, and who cannot. That brute, whoever he may be, must have saw something in that piece of meat. Dangerus grunted. Dangerus: I would have just killed him...

Xyrho: Of course you would of. Xyrho paced back and forth. Xyrho: And, for the record, I have seen humans worthy of merit...that is...the merit of earning a quick death. I have never met a human that I would befriend. Xyrho stopped. He turned to Dangerus. Xyrho: With all of this aside...I regret that my...subordinates can be...insubordinate. Many of my kind are...self important. I have met many of my own kind, who share similar habits...prone to such petty rivalry. A shame...really. I do believe it will be our own undoing some day. Pride to the extend of blind hatred and disrespect to others...has never been a good thing. It has never done anyone good.

While Voro and Vhat' moved to their target, Vhat's mind was still looming on about Dangerus and Brutes in general. He initially never had a problem with them. But the more he continued to fight along side them, the more he disapproved of the habits they display. He believed it to be unworthy for the Prophets' attention. However, he did listen to Xyrho's words. Dangerus was the supreme C.O. of the Covenant fleet, and to show the disrespect was, in hindsight, simply rude and honorless. As his paternal ancestor had said during his younger days, "Respect for the enemy is one of the best ways to display Honor. To show them respect is to let them know that you accept their strengths. And when you defeat them in combat, you will know that you were better than their best, and that, is the point of Honor." Since then, Vhat' held Honor as his best trait next to his loyalty to the Prophets. Vhat' shoved off the notion and began to focus on San Angeles and his assignment

Dangerus nodded, looking at Xyrho. Dangerus: The Sangheili have always hated the Jiralhanae, and vice versa. It is a curse in this alliance. That we must resort to our rivalry when we know the greater good is always in front of us. Dangerus shrugged. Dangerus: My kind has not helped the situation, I will admit. Even I have resorted to it on certain occasions. Occasions I am not defiantly proud of. Dangerus grunted. Dangerus: The Prophets had given me the fleet this battle, Xyrho. I would hope your elites understand that this is a Jiralhanae operation, it rides on me. And I hope you would help me achieve the victory today. Dangerus brought his fist to his chest, banging it against his armor. A sign of respect towards Xyrho and hoping for a return salute. Meanwhile: By the time everyone else had dispersed, Sergeant Athios had received his mission from Harrison, leaving the room to prep his squad for the extraction of over fifty civilians in a hotel in Carver. Jacob was the only one left in the command tent. Harrison had since moved to his office to read the orders to Jacob in complete privacy. Harrison: Captain...this mission is one I was not even told about until a few minutes ago. Jacob: Sir? Harrison took a deep breath. Harrison: This is straight from the big guys, how they got the orders sent to us is beyond me. Must be some high officials in my ranks, or even down on that planet to know the Contingency plan in order to get this one out. Harrison paused. Harrison: It's from ONI. Jacob shifted a little more. Operations from high ONI officials were always ones that they suspected were the most dangerous and the most important. Harrison: They gave me three things. The name of the SINGLE person in the op, the location, and the objective. Harrison smiled on the other end as he began to read the orders from ONI to Jacob. Harrison: As pursuant to Article 15F-C5 of the San Angeles WINTER CONTINGENCY Declaration Supplemental Orders, the ODST named Captain Jacob Sharpmen is to immediately move to the orbiting body of Losan. On the Northern tip of the planet is the ONI Data Archiving and Redundancy Krypt, otherwise known as the DARK Facility. The ODST is to move to this installation and secure all sensitive data in the Archive room, involving all information regarding every individual involved in a Spartan Program. This Operation is of utmost secrecy, classified above Top Secret, and as such only Admiral Harrison and Captain Sharpmen may know the main objective. ODST Captain Sharpmen is given all rights of an ONI Agent until the specified Operation is complete, or until the Commander Officer deems it necessary. Operation WINTER MOON is now in effect. Jacob took in all the information. Losan, DARK Facility, Archive room, Information about the Spartan Programs, Top Secret. Harrison: Understood...Agent? Jacob smiled, he was basically about to go on a mission with no rules, and only an objective. Something he hadn't been able to do in a long time. Unless you count the coup he started during Genesis. Jacob: I understand, sir. My ride? Harrison: Currently getting that information now...You are to take the flight alone in one of ONI's Prototype Stealth Pelicans. Rearm yourself, get moving to the Southern end of the airfield and take the pelican stationed there. It should be on it's way to you, there will be two pilots. Just state your name and service number and you will be ready to move. Jacob: Yes, sir. Anything else? Harrison: None whatsoever, Agent. Good luck. Get the data, get back to the pelican, it will bring you back here. Get moving. Jacob: Understood, sir. I'll see you in a few hours. Sharpmen out. With that, Jacob left the room and headed towards the makeshift armory that had been set up. He noted that he would most likely not need his sniper rifle on the assignment and opted to switch out for two Socoms and an assault rifle. He packed as much ammunition and grenades as he could into his pack. Jacob rechecked the gear he was wearing, it was as good as it was gonna get and if he needed to switch any weapons he was sure DARK Facility would be carrying some heat. Jacob left the armory and just started walking towards the South end of the airfield. He ignored everyone and focused primarily on the objective at hand and the mission he was about to partake in. Within a few minutes he saw a black, unmarked pelican fly low and in front of him. He stopped as the pelican opened up to reveal a Pilot in pure black armor. The pilot was holding a Socom in his hand. Jacob: Captain Jacob Sharpmen. UNSC ID: Sigma-Juliet-Zero-Two-Eight-Romeo-Zero-Six The pilot nodded and turned, using his hand he nudged Jacob on board. Jacob took one last look at the surrounding area. The burning city behind the airfield, the dozens of troopers on the tarmac, and the last glimpse of survival on San Angeles. He smiled and walked onto the pelican as the bay doors shut behind him. They were off to DARK.

Xyrho returned the salute to Dangerus. He pounded his fist against his armor, and nodded. Xyrho: I assure you, Chieftain...so long as you have my loyalty...you WILL have the loyalty of those under me. I know what the orders of the Prophets were...and I will follow them to the death. Xyrho paused. Xyrho: I will make sure that any petty rivalry does not undermine your authority. Meanwhile: Voro walked with Vhat' into the sub-basement. Voro: Tell me, Major...what is your opinion of Xyrho? Do you find him to be...misguided in his views at times?

Dangerus grinned and nodded. Dangerus: For that, I thank you. When this victory is assured, we will dine together...as Brothers. Dangerus looked at Xyrho. Dangerus: But for now, we must head to the data center of this facility. Meanwhile: Jacob was sitting in the pelican, he had his assault rifle clenched in his hands and he was waiting for the green lit to move into DARK Facility. He didn't really know anything about the facility, hell, he didn't even know ONI had presence here until a few minutes ago. But, he shrugged it off. That's ONI for ya. Pulling the strings without anyone really knowing they were pulling the strings. Jacob had gotten used to it. He knew ONI loved their secrets.

Xyrho: I am waiting for my officers to bring the Engineers down from my Corvette. That was their standing order when the signal was given. They should be here any moment. Xyrho paused. Xyrho: It should not take the Engineers long to mine this entire data center of all of its information. Once they accomplish this, I will be able to give you our next target. As Xyrho said this a dozen Elites, mostly Minors and Majors, were escorting a trifecta of Engineers to the sub-basement. Xyrho looked over his shoulder and witnessed this. He then looked back at Dangerus. Xyrho: You can choose to supervise them...or we can wait for them to finish. The choice is yours...Chieftain.
