Nighthawk: Go! Hit them now!
Nighthawk took cover behind one of the computer work stations. He did, however, prop his shotgun up out of cover, and took very liberal pot shots at Liam, specifically.
Anaconda, on the other hand, under the protection of his active camo, moved in. He knew that this entire room had red-shifted to the point where body heat and the heat of the moisture in the air made him totally invisible to the thermal sensors. This is where the entire situation went from desperate, to simply enjoyable.
Anaconda approached from the left flank. He held his hammer in hand, as he charged, jumped into the air, and came crashing down, right in between the Risk Takers, scattering them in separate directions, breaking their cohesion.
Liam, however, was the only one who didn't go down. Nighthawk took aim at Liam, lining up the iron sights on his shotgun, and fired. The impact of the buckshot caused Liam to stumble back. Nighthawk simply grinned under his helmet, as he fired again. Liam stumbled back again.
Nighthwk: Stubborn SOB...simply doesn't know how to fall on the ground and die.
Nighthawk fired again. The impact of the buck shot caused Liam to stumble back for a third time.
Nighthawk: Give me a break.
Nighthawk paused. He then began to shout out an instruction.
Nighthawk: Hey...Big Guy...whereever you are...could you PLEASE just knock this fucker down! I have already shot him three times, and he refuses to drop.
In less than a moment after Nighthawk said this, Liam was hit from behind, right in his back, with a Gravity Hammer. Liam went sliding across the floor, separated from his weapon. Nighthawk watched as Liam slid across the ground. He knew that Liam, at least for the moment, was not an immediate concern. However, based on what he had observed, the mitigation of threat would not last long, as Liam was expected to recover in very short order. If Nighthawk had to make one admission, is that generally, he was up against opponents that were already is better in many ways. His survival always came from the fact that he never faced down more than one at a time, and with the dedicated attention of his cohort. If anything went wrong, he could always step back and let the bigger, stronger, more aggressive and more durable side of this partnership take the bumps. However...with so many of these Supper Soldiers working in unison, all under the same banner, all with the same objective, and all with seemingly the same training that was custom tailored elimination...Nighthawk found himself question his own life expectancy from moment to moment.
Despite this, he had to keep moving.
Nighthawk watched as the rest of Liam's Spartans struggled against an enemy they simply could not see. He watched as they got body checked, pushed around, and hit with one of the heaviest weapons he had ever seen. He knew that if there was a time to bug out...it was now.
Nighthawk wasted no time in bolting out of cover, running across the room and towards the exit of the Environmental Control room, an exit which led back to the sub-basement corridors. As Nighthawk ran, he took advantage of the weakened states of Liam's Spartans as they tried to get back to there feet. As Nighthawk went by, he would take aim with his shotgun, and shoot them right in the sides. He knew this was do little good, especially when the biofoam injectors would patch them up moments later.
Anaconda, on the other hand, took quite an enjoyment out of this situation. Despite his preference for head to head fighting, he took a sort of twisted pleasure in not only the fact that he was invisible, but in the fact that he was free to do whatever he pleased to inflict as much bodily harm as he could. Anaconda found himself not only kicking his enemies when they were down, but relishing in it. As a natural hunter....the prospect of luring prey into a trap, and beating it down, was as mentally stimulating as it got.
Nighthawk: Come on...we have to go! Lets move!
Thankfully, Nighthawk's HUD pointed the exact location of Anaconda, despite the active camo, and despite the red-shifted thermal sensors.
Anaconda: We can finish them! We have them down...we can end this!
Nighthawk: Perhaps...but the time we use here finishing these guys off, is time that can be used to escape. We can't forget the fact that we still have other responsibilities, and other objectives. We cannot loose sight of that!
Anaconda grunted. He disagreed with the policy of running, but he knew there was a good reason to fall back.
Anaconda: Fine...lead the way!
Meanwhile:
Black 3 and Black 4 both slammed into Warthogs that were beside each other. They both groaned as they made impacts with the vehicles. Black 4 rubbed his chest, as he looked over at Black 3.
Black 4: I don't know about you...but I am getting really fucking sick of that Brute.
Black 3: I dunno about you...but is it getting hot in here?
Black 4: Yeah. The humidex readout on my HUD is blistering. Something must of happened to the Enviromental Controls in the building. This temperature is...terrible.
Black 3 and Black 4 booth needed to take a moment to recuperate.
Black 1, and Black 2, on the other hand, had take cover behind a Warthog that was on the opposing side of where Jacob, Tye, and Jennifer were, but near where Black 3 and Black 4 were injured. Black 1 was exchanging fire with Cameron, and talking to Black 2 at the same time.
Black 1: Evan...we have a problem. One of the Risk Takers told me that Tye activated some kind of virus on the datacenter which totally wiped it clean of information.
Black 2: That is bad. Without that intel...we won't be able to direct The Covenant wher we want them to dig.
Black 1: We need to restore that data. How can it be done?
Black 2: I can signal the techs up on The Ulterior Motive. We can have them file a direct uplink to the data center, and restore the information that we need The Covenant to have.
Black 1: Do it. I will cover you.
On the other side of the evac point, behind another set of Warthogs that was opposing to Black Team's location, Tye and Jennifer spoke with Jacob.
Tyber: God...that knife went right into the damn muscle. I can feel that.
Jennifer: Don't touch it. We will remove it when I can get you to some medical supplies.
Tye nodded.
Jennifer then looked at Jacob.
Jennifer: Jacob...where is the rest of your team? Did they evac? Do you see them in here? Where are they?
