Fallout RPG Reboot

Well...if you wanted my input...you can just call it Fallout RPG. Fallout is pretty expansive...lots to do. It is actually very easy to combine both New Vegas and FO3 into the same RP. If done right...it would be a viable idea. All you need is a date and a plot...and you are set. I could get in on this.

If we want to stick to FO3, we could rewind the time back before FO3 and go with when the Enclave and original Brotherhood arrived in the Capital Wasteland. It was talked about for quite a bit in-game and it's on the FOWiki. Just throwing that idea out there too :P And with that idea, it gives us the means to open up the doors to the introduction of the Outcast, the establishments of Raven Rock, the Citadel, and Adam's Air Force Base. As well as even intro-ing on the minor factions like Talon Company and some of the raiders and settlements like Megaton and Arefu and Republic of Dave. (For what it's worth.) Not to mention give us the option to intro on GNR and the BoS outpost there and the Washington Monument :P Some more ideas to ponder on

Well. I personally like Caesers Legion. So we could do what you guys both said. Scrap the canon, get a date, get a plot, and start up. I'd be down for doing it after FNV as well. So a date like 2282-22?? Would be fine with me. Factions could be the same, NCR, BoS, Enclave, and the Legion would all be present. Each trying to accomplish something different. NCR for a united republic. BoS for tech. Enclave for domination. And the Legion for enslavement and control. I'd be down for this. We could use an entirely new setting as well in my opinion. As log as they can all be around that area. The Midwest would be perfect since its unclaimed. And we could carry information for FO3 and FNV into the game.

Well in Bethesda's Fallout it's unclaimed. Fallout Tactics took place in the Midwest. I think the downside to doing a new location is the lack of details. It'd have to be very detailed on where, what, who, when, how, why, all those details. Especially say a city layout. I like the cross-game idea personally :P Perhaps stick to the Capital Wasteland, several years after Broken Steel DLC. The waters are purified without the FEV contaminant and the NCR and even a small rogue/scouting party have entered the area to assess the area. The Enclave is hardly seen and been scattered. They're still in their pursuit to re-establish the "True America" while the BoS are looking to help the people. The Outcasts are still there looking for tech, spreading into the Direct DC area, fighting with the BoS. The NCR are there for the same motives as the Enclave and to unify the people for their banner. Using DC as the start to recover the original ideals of the American society. The Legion moved over as a point to try and lick it's wounds and regroup and grow again, finding unexpected resistance from everyone else.

The DC area...their is a lot we can do. But also a lot we can't. We could be able to allow travel outside of DC. Say the Pitt or AAFB or other places around the DC area. In my opinion having it take place in the Mojave would be better. But that is just me.

Well I'm okay with the Mojave. I just played the shit out of that game. Looks like it's time to download FNV again to re-familiarize myself XD EDIT: Here's what I've been working out with Sniper last night. If we reboot Fallout, it'll take place in 2279 (roughly two years after the first RP and Fallout 3, and it's two years before New Vegas). We're going to go along the premise that Raven Rock and Adam's Air Force Base were destroyed scattering the Enclave out and making them weaker. The Brotherhood of Steel have continued distributing the clean, purified water (without the FEV contaminant). In addition, with the opinion of Jon as well, being in the middle between the two games allows cross-factions. In the new RP, the Legion and NCR have spread east. The Legion, under the leadership of Caesar's son, (the name undisclosed at the time), have moved to the Capital Wasteland in hopes of establishing a secondary base for the North American continent and also establish a headquarters for the Eastern operations. The NCR has moved east because they have hopes to find new documents, advice, wisdom, etc., to help better unify the people under their control and holding D.C. will also allow them to rally more people under their banner. The Enclave, being weakened and in general disarray after the defeat at AAFB, have begun to re-strengthen their will and drive under Skinner's leadership. However, still being vulnerable, Skinner has agreed to allow trading and non-aggression between the Enclave and the Legion. The Brotherhood of Steel are now in control of most of the Capital Wasteland. While Liberty Prime was salvaged, he's far from complete after his destruction. So here's how the politics will play out: -There will be three primary forces: Caesar's Legion - The Enclave New California Republic Brotherhood of Steel The BoS and NCR are still at war with each other from the soured motives from back west. (Yes I did the research and Elder Lyons would have been alive before/during the start of the NCR-Brotherhood of Steel War. So there will be fighting between those three factions as well as the other minor factions like the various raiders, the Super Mutants, Talon Company, etc. That's everything so far. I would assume that old characters from the RP will be allowed to move over unless you planned to have killed them originally.

So it looks like most, if not all, of the old FORPG members have said that they can agree to this. I just want to ask this. Are there any other ideas or suggestions that should be thrown out into the open? :P
