Ya, there are rumors of a fully 3D version of them game. Hopefully the build it off of Emmpire at war or even homeworld 2. Cause that game will be som much fun!

Fighters: 20 meters long Use laser cannons This is the most efficient ship in all of the game. All you need to do is research 1 laser and you got a good ship. It will kill more ships one on one than any other ship. This ship is great and is considered meatshield to the rest of the gamers, a meat sheild is an unsheilded ship that gets killed before those with shields do. A good fleet has 45-75% in Fighters, and some of those fleets get up to 750,000 squadrons of fighters. If a base has 25 command centers a single fighter will pierce through shielding.

Bombers Length: 18 meters Weapon: missiles Tech Research: Missile 1 Not the best ship to use in a mobile, but if you wanna scare off a couple of Heavy Cruisers off use bombers and frigates in large amounts and you successfully scared off a HC. The Bomber isn't good for anything literally. It will die faster than the fighters, and they cost twice the amount for a single squadron of bombers. If you choose to play with these you need to have large amounts of them. Or otherwise go home.

Heavy Bomber Length: 39 meters Weapon: Heavy Plasma Cannons This is a great bomber that deals some serious damage to the enemy ships without shielding. Its also perfect at killing the Outpost ship which anything except the scout ship. But the HB is perfect also at killing battleships because battleships are bad against plasma based ships.

Ion Bomber: Length: 39 meters Weapon: Ion Although this bomber has 50% damage go through shielding its not your greatest bomber in fact its probably the worst. Why? Because this bomber is expensive hard to attain, and hard to maintain. The problem with this bomber also is that sheer fact that once you get it there isn't much you can kill with it.

Corvettes Length: 163 meters Weapons: Laser Cannons Speed: Very fast Cost: 20 credits The Corvette is a perfect anti-starfighter platform in my opinion. Its dangerous without a fault. It can easily destroy the enemy fighters and it takes 5 squadrons of fighters to kill this ship. It is also perfect for scouting as it is small enough not to be detected. However in fleets it isn't good as a meat shield. You might as well save up for the Destroyer which is only twice as much more.
