Welcome to the first installment of Cuban Impressions. here, I discuss, and detail my first couple hours of a new game I own. I would like to emphasize that this isn't a review. So with this not being a review, I will not have seperate subcategories, but just one, big category
It's my first time, and your first time, so let's dig in, shall we?
Hehe......Someone's gonna sue me
Gameplay Mechanics
Splinter Cell Conviction is a genre all it's own. You can call it a third Person shooter, if your into the whole going in guns blazing and killing every Mofo you see, or you can sneak around, kill people one by one. Play Cat and Mouse, Screw with your victim's head. Wait agonizing seconds, sometimes minutes, for the paranoid victim to turn his head, only for you to pop up, and snap his neck.
It's at these moments in the game, where you actually feel like a secret agent. Where you actually feel like it's everyone vs. you, where it feels like your the only person in the world who could handle this one job.
Or are you?
While you may have heard it from your friend's grandmother, Splinter Cell Conviction does indeed have multiplayer, A very fun multiplayer in fact. I jumped over on Xbox Live. But with me not having a mic, it complicated things. So I called my friend 10 minutes later and told him to get over here, for the sake of science.

From my time with the multiplayer, which is a lot. I can honest to god say, that this could quite possibly be, one of the greatest coop experiences ever. Especially in my situation, where you have me, someone who loves going in, guns blazing, and someone like my friend, someone who stays back, likes to play cat and mouse.
This forced me to adapt, it forced me to play in strange ways, to break away from the norm.
Many may not have this problem, But that is a true experience, if I've ever seen one
Like I said before, this game plays a lot like Cat and Mouse, if you so choose.
But in all honesty, you will find yourself dying less, if you go along with this method of Play. Think about it.
-You wouldn't get shot as much
-could take out groups, picking off stragglers, one by one. Thus increasing your chances of survival.
This game changes the very way you play games, I will surely be playing this more thoroughly, once I get more hours in.
Be sure read the review, when it comes out.
