Hey calm down Kiddies, I think Erica makes a valid point and that she deserves to express an opinion or ask a question. And we can do well without making sexist comments. That's what starts problems. Alright? Everyone take a chill pill. The guys have a good point as well, men have previously, and usually always have been dominant. But when I was looking for a job, and hell my job now, women have the power. Slowly, but surely, woman are becoming the dominant. So Marnix makes a point, equal is the most fair.

It's the same way in most languages.
ex. In Spanish, there are two words for "them/they". "Ellos" and "Ellas". The only time you can say "Ellas" is if they are ALL feminine. Otherwise, it becomes the masculine form, "Ellos".

well chicken when its a little girl they say "Niña" and when its a group of kids they say "Niños"
which can be said fora bunch of little boys "Niños".
also gurfs r chilled when they say hey guys or hey dudes but meh it dont matter its like its the original spanish and it dont bother me at the least people been doin this for billions of years and it no deal wit me

A: Because mankind or MAN-kind is called that for many reasons. This term originated when the Christian faith dominated both society and government. Adam was created first, and woman was created from the rib of Adam. As both Man and Woman have the word...man in the spelling, it can also be seen as a short form.

Q: Why do we say "hey guys" not "hey ladies"

A: Because our society was based, and is still based, on the male-orientated dominance. Our Society sees men as the leaders and the head of the household. As it is also the way of our society to greet and introduce men first before women. Not doing so is a violation of proper decorum.
