Once Stolt received word, he waited for everyone to board the pelican.
Stolt: Pilot, pass over so we can make a high altitude drop. Then return back to the ship. The rest of you, on me. I'll think of something once we hit the ground.
The Marines nodded and all was quiet as the Pelican left the King Raven and sped through into the atmosphere. Within minutes, the Pelican was ready to drop its payload of fighters.
Pilot: We've arrived at the drop zone. Wait for my signal. Buckle in.
A nav pointer appeared on everyone's HUD. From this altitude, the ground wasn't visible. Everyone would have to rely on the guide and their training to reach the destination.
The alarm went off, signaling that the ramp on the rear of the pelican was opening. Wind rushed out of compartment as air pressure tried to equalize. The troops held on to keep from being sucked outside. Once the pressures equalized, the jump light switched from red to orange.
Pilot: Unbuckle and prepare to drop.
Clicks were heard as the troops disengaged the clips from their harnesses and stood in a line in front of the now open ramp. When the signal switched to green, Markovz jumped out of the Pelican and went into free fall. Stolt signaled for the next 3 Marines to jump, one after the other, and he soon followed suit.
As he was falling, he steered himself so that he was going towards the marker. Training kicked in and he pulled his chute open, gliding safely towards the ground. Although the men were scattered around, they weren't too far away. He set a rally point on the HUD and waited for the others to arrive.
