A runner ran into Amrosius' tent. He knelt.

Runner: Legate, the Emperor has sent word. He tells you to "Keep watch for rebels, or anyone trying to leave in a hurry." The rebels have been found in the mountains, we need everyone on high alert.

By chance, do you know if whether he has intentions of mobilizing an army? Like are there any further orders?

Runner: Orders are to remain in your areas, no further details then to just keep watch.

Although, I would hope he would send an army...

The runner mumbled.

a runner entered Aulus' tent

Runner: sir

Aulus: what news from Malleolus?

Runner: he says to pack up, we are leaving shortly

Aulus: good. you may go

he tossed the runner a coin, who then caught it and ran off. Aulus walked to the central area of his area

Aulus: Men! Begin pacing! We leave shortly!

the men began packing their gear and tents and shit. Aulus walked around and helped out where it was needed

In time, we will crush this Rebellion. Send a message back to his majesty, tell him that "Legate Ambrosius is on stand-by and waiting for further orders." That will be all

The runner nodded and left the tent.

Meanwhile:

Malleolus watched as his belongings and tent were packed up and sent on it's way. He smiled and walked around his camp.

Meanwhile:

Vetus walked into an alleyway.

Vetus: Guards, leave me.

The two guards looked at each other, shrugged and left. Before long, a man in a robe stood before Vetus, his hood covering his face.

Vetus: Carbo, good to see you...

Carbo: Senator...word has it you are getting quite popular with the rebellion.

Vetus grinned.

Vetus: Word has it...you're dead.

Carbo laughed.

Carbo: To the empire, Senator...the Rebellion awaits your arrival.

Vetus: Not yet...send word to Malleolus, tell him I need more time.

Carbo: You're time is up Vetus. You leave now, or you are not with the Rebellion.

Vetus: The Emperor is under my command, if he thinks I tell him what the Senate wants, he does it. His rulings are becoming quite...contradicting.

Carbo: I'll be back....two days Vetus...two days...until then, you are the Rebellions eyes, ears, and mouth in the Senate. Do us some good and make use of the time in that damn place.

Carbo ran off, without letting Vetus speak a word.

(Lmfao or a legionaire. Or hell, even a senator. Senators haven't really changed at all through time.)
