Jennifer stopped. She turned to look at Sergai. Jennifer: At ease Spartan. Jennifer paused. Jennifer: Is there something you need?

[Erex]

Sergai: No Ma'am just reporting in. Tye the marines are restless. Thats all. As well as anxious some are afraid. I'm doing my best to reassure its gonna be alright but I don't know some of them are just .... In other words sir they fear the worst.

[Naked Crook]

Tyber: I understand that they are getting restless...but they need to stay focused and appreciate what thry have now. Tell those Marines that when the shooting starts, and they are forced to watch their friends die on the front lines...they will be WISHING for this restlessness. Tell them to relax, stay focused, and appreciate what they have.

[Erex]

Sergai: Yes sir. Will do. Sergai walks down to the area where the marines were. Marine: Can we go? Can we start getting revenge on the covies for what they did to us? Sergai: Pipe down, You guys are to stay calm and appreciate Restlessness because when your on the frontlines and watch your brothers in arms die, you'll thank god for the restlessness. So until then chill out talk and bond with your brothers, you'll know when its time. Marine: Yes sir. The marines started to talk to each other. Sergai's face contorted into a grim and sad expression as he knew most of these men will die in the battle that will enivatably ensue.

Tye sighed. He looked at Jennifer. Tyber: That is what I have been dealing with. I much prefer the Marines from The King Raven. They talk less, bitch less, and seem more professional. Everyone here is "restless" or "wanting to go on patrol" in the middle of a warzone...or whatever. I am used to commanding men...not boys. Jennifer: Well, Tye...not everyone can have the distinction of serving under you. Tye sighed. Tyber: I guess not. Still...I find it annoying when these kids are bitching about being bored. It is like they are idiots with guns, thinking they are big shit, wanting to prove themselves. That is simply confidence born from stupidity. Jennifer folded her arms. Tyber: Which...of course...answers your original question. Why are Nighthawk and Anaconda here? The fact is...those guys are, at least, professionals. They act when they need to, they are conservative in their tactics, they are professional killers and they don't act like idiot kids who get restless. Jennifer nodded.

Sergai walks up to a marine who was crying. Sergai: Whats wrong marine buck up. Marine: My brother and sister were killed in the Evac. My family is from here. They took a transport to evac the damn covenant shot it down. They were only 5 and 7. My mother is dead father is missing in action. Sergai: My condolences I'm sorry this happen. But you need to focus, you need every bit of energy you can. I can't guarrantee your piece of mind and the pain going away. But when we need fighters you'll get your chance to have your revenge. Now stop the crying child and this is where the men will be seperated from boys. Marine: Yes sir I'm fresh out out bootcamp I just graduated highschool I didn't know it was this bad. Sergai: You got to be fucking kidding me? We are fighting for survival and didn't knwo. Marine: My parents shielded me as a child from the war. Sergai: Earn your stripes corporal, and exact your revenge once Tye gives us the orders.

Jennifer: Well, Tye...the fact is...those two are very dangerous. We both know that. Tyber: I know. I know. I was also briefed on them. Jennifer: These two have been linked to various high profile incident over the past few years. These are the same guys that, only a few months back, stole a classified prototype right out of an ONI shipyard. These are the same guys that have killed countless ONI officers. These guys could very well turn their weapons on us when it suits them. We need to get rid of them...or...kill them at the first chance we get. Tyber: I know Jennifer...I know. Tye paused. Tyber: I have every intention of getting rid of those two the first chance I get. I will just need to find a way to do it when the time is right. Jennifer: The sooner the better Tye. The sooner the better... Jennifer trailed off. She was about to speak again, when she heard the heavy footsteps of a Spartan heading their way. Jennifer waited. SHe turned and she saw Cameron enter the Security Center. Cameron looked at Jennifer. His voice suggested a tone of surprise. Cameron: Captain Frost? What are you doing here? I was not aware that you had plans for ground deployment. Jennifer: Long story Cam. Let's just say I am more useful down here, than up there. Cameron: Understood ma'am. Cameron paused. He turned and looked at Tye. Cameron: Tye...I have finished my rounds. I feel we are about as prepared as we are going to get. However, that is not to say we are at our best. SOme of these Marines are greens. SOme of them are kids, fresh out of boot camp. I never thought I would hear myself say it...but it would be nice if we could have a few specialized Spartan Teams down here. A few Trackers or Wetworkers would be nice right about now. Tyber: Well, we gotta work with what we have. Whether or not we have specialists...we have to survive, and we need to drive as many of these Covenant bastards into the grave as possible.

When Reynolds got over his smugness, he decided he would speak up. Reynolds: "Are we gonna draw straws and see who gets the shortest? There must be something. I could get the Mind's Attrition in pretty close and damage some of those ships, but it would be suicide after staying too long." Reynolds stopped and pondered a little more. Reynolds: "Is there any way we can get reinforcements without FLEETCOM? If they are going to dilly-dally, we can send out a distress signal. Maybe we'll pick up a ship or two. While we hold out, we could use hit and run tactics to poke and prod and maybe, just maybe, lure enough ships away from the planet."

Sergai loads and cleans his rifle and pulls out his Magnum. Sergai: Gunnery Sergeant, tell me something do you know why I clean my guns all the time? Gunnery Sergeant: Of course to keep them in best condition so there are no mishaps. Sergai: Wrong, when I clean my weapons it calms me, when I'm calm I feel better. However you were correct, but I clean my guns after every combat situation I encouter just because I should. Gunnery Sergeant: Your accent its russian. Sergai: Dah, I come from a long line of russian intelligence operatives. My ancestors were the leaders of the USSR KGB the most feared intelligence agency of the day. Now I fight for humanity, much like my ancestors did. Gunnery Sergeant: Your proud of your heritage. Sergai: Of course, are you proud of yours? Gunnery Sergeant: I'm from a long line of losers. Sergai: I see, well Gunny your no longer a loser, because if you die out there in combat, you will die with honor, because you fought for what you believed in, and you fought for our rights as a human to survive, there is no such thing as defeat. Gunnery Sergeant: You got to be kidding me? We got our asses kicked. Sergai: We didn't surrender, Nor will we. If we lose this battle, we better fucking make them remember how much it took to kill off the amount of marines in this complex. Gunnery Sergeant: You don't have tell me, when it comes down to it, I'll tear their covenant mothers a new one. Sergai: Good... Sergai slaps the Gunny. Gunnery Sergeant: What was that for? Sergai: So you'd remember the day your family stopped being a long line of losers, and started to be heros. Gunnery Sergeant: It didn't have to hurt so bad.

Meanwhile: While Nighthawk had been with Jacob, and the UNSC Marines were busy preparing Regional HQ BRavo for an attack, Anaconda decided to take advantage of the situation, and carry out his side of the mission. He knew that while everyone was busy, he could move into the sub-basement, undetected, and do what he needed to do. Anaconda moved under the cover of active camouflage, evading both the security cameras, and Marines who had happened to pass by at any given moment. He had to admit to himself, for someone who had always had the mindset of getting into the enemies face and beating them to the ground, he was quite adept at the skill of deft movement. Despite this fact, however, he still much prefered getting into people's faces and beating them down into the ground. It was his nature. Anaconda continued to move through the sub-basement. It did not take him long to navigate the corridors, using the information that was being fed to his HUD from The Venture Capitalist. It was not long until Anaconda found himself at the foot of a massive door that read RESTRICTED ACCESS across it. Anaconda: I am guessing that whatever I am looking for...is behind this door... Anaconda looked around. He grunted. This was one of those times he wished he had his partner here to deal with the technical hurdles. However, he did not so easily give up. Anaconda contacted The Venture Capitalist. Anaconda: HAWK... HAWK responded almost immediately. HAWK: Yes? Anaconda: I have a problem...there is a locked door standing between myself and...whatever it is I am looking for. HAWK: Have you tried busting it down? Anaconda: No...because that would give away my position. I believe humans would call that "blowing it"... HAWK: Good. I was just testing you. Anaconda growled. HAWK: No need for that sort of language. Relax... HAWK paused for a moment. HAWK: I am retrieving your location. Stand by. I am going to isolate which door you are speaking about, so I can get its necessary ID on the network. I will then see if I can remotely ope that door from here WITHOUT setting of a zillion alarms. Anaconda: Hurry up. I don't have all day. HAWK: This will take a moment...stand by... Meanwhile: Back on the Vigorous Inferno, Burke, who was still with Harrison and Reynolds, discussing the current situation, looked at Reynolds and shook his head, in response to Reynolds previous question. Burke: I do not believe so Captain. The ships that were stationed at San Angeles were the only ones in range. There is nobody else we could contact. Even if there were another UNSC colony in range, it would be far too irresponsible to leave another colony under-protected to try and save a colony that may already be lost. Unless FLEETCOM responds...we are on our own. Burke paused. Burke: I strongly believe that our best chance lies in, essentuially, gorilla warfare with The Covenant. We need to hit and run, and we need to disable their ships using whatever we have at our disposal.
