Tye took a moment to himself, as he calmed himself down. He could hear Harrison speaking to him and he could tell that Harrison was trying to be on the level. Tye slowly turned and looked at Harrison. Tyber: Sir...I...ummm... Tye paused. Tyber: Sir...you should know that I have a very questionable history with Spender, and The Trust... Tye paused. Tyber: I used to be a member of The Trust...

Harrison kept his composure as Tye talked. He knew he was telling him something that a lot of people didn't know. Harrison knew this was buried. But he also knew in what capacity Tye had been in the Trust, Spender had revealed that. Harrison: As Black 6. Harrison stood straight as he raised an eyebrow. Harrison: When was this, Commander?

Tyber: About...25 years ago... Tye paused. Tyber: A long time ago...

Harrison nodded. Harrison: A long time ago...indeed. Harrison paused as he shook his head. Harrison: Myself and the entire brass should have been told of this prior to this engagement, Commander.

Jennifer: Actually sir...I was informed of this fact. Due to the nature of that information, however, I opted to muzzle the intel. I felt that this information was far too compromising to allow it to become public knowledge. Nighthawk stepped forward. Nighthawk: I was also informed... Burke then spoke up. Burke: As was I... Anaconda then grunted. Anaconda: I was there...and I heard the story...

Reynolds looked at Harrison. Reynolds: "For what it's worth, I didn't know, Admiral."

Harrison's head fell as he shook his head. He had enough of being out of the loop and more importantly, he had enough of having Nighthawk and Anaconda be in it more than he. Harrison took a deep breath and looked at Frost, Burke, and Tye, cycling through them as he spoke. He continued to try and remain as calm as possible, he had to keep his composure. Harrison: All of this needs to stop. I did not say for it to become public knowledge, but myself and Reynolds here should have been notified of this. I'm sorry, but I think notifying us instead of having Nighthawk and Anaconda present was a more pressing matter. Harrison paused as he glanced at Reynolds. Harrison: Having half of the Senior Brass in the dark is not the way we are going to win this battle, it is not the way we are going to win this war. So it stops now. I want to know everything, I want to hear everything, and I want to see everything. Harrison paused again. Harrison: I want the same things all of you want. But in order for me to do that, I need information. Am I understood?

Jennifer: Sir, with all due respects, having you informed about Tye's past was not required information that would have been pertinent to a victory condition. Jennifer paused. Jennifer: As someone who is intimately involved with ONI, I am subject to many more procedures and regulations than you are when it comes to the sharing and distribution of information. Commander Vernette requested a Victor-997 debriefing - which, as far as ONI is concerned, placed me well within my rights to withhold the information pertaining to his involvement with The Trust. Jennifer paused, as she stepped towards Harrison. Jennifer: But...there is more to it then that. Jennifer paused. Jennifer: I couldn't take the chance that you would have reacted negatively. I was not prepared to endanger Tye's career, reputation, and future in the military. I have a tremendous amount of respect for him, and, personally, I owe him a lot...I owe him enough. Clearly, Tye had different ideas, but it was his truth to reveal, not mine. He has obviously decided to come forward with this, and he made his own choice. Jennifer then grinned. Jennifer: As for Nighthawk...the only reason he was privy to this information is because his is not part of the military. There was no risk involved with him having knowledge of Tye's past. Jennifer paused once more. Jennifer: I can fully understand that you may not like the fact that you were left in the dark. However, the decision to do that was my decision, and I will deal with the consequences. Any further objections that you may have to my decisions...you are more than welcome to voice them now. Jennifer then looked at Reynolds. Jennifer: The same goes for you, Captain.

Harrison slammed his fist down on the holotable, it had been enough for him. Harrison: No risk involved!? Harrison took a deep breath. Harrison: Captain, I do not care what personal favors you owe to Commander Vernette, I do not care what you owe him personally. I do not care about any of it when you openly allow a terrorist- Harrison pointed a finger at Nighthawk while speaking. -information to an ONI officer's past! You talk about my reaction negatively? The man under that mask hates the Trust with more attitude than I have ever seen, and you allow him to hear that one of our top officers has worked for them? Harrison shook his head. He started to speak in a much more demanding and powerful tone. Harrison: I've said it once and I will say it again Captain, but I do not give one living fuck that you, or anyone else around here, is ONI. This is my operation, this is my mission, and keeping me in the dark is the way we lose. So I will say it one last time, I don't care what ONI regulations you're breaking, the next time something like this happens while we are in an active combat zone, I will be called. I will be notified. Or I will have the UNSC, and even ONI if that's what it takes, drop a hammer so goddamn hard on your head that it cracks your skull. Harrison paused. Harrison: Do I make myself clear, Captain?

Jennifer looked at Harrison, a bit taken aback by his tone and how he had pulled a complete 180 in his demeanor. Jennifer could see that Harrison was very angry, and very displeased with the current state of affairs, and it was very clear that he was not going top have any more excuses or end-runs. At least, this is how she perceived the situation. When Harrison had asked his final question, Jennifer simply nodded. Jennifer: Yes...sir... Nighthawk watched how Harrison had snapped. He then began to laugh. Nighthawk: You know what I think? I think Harrison is secretly mad that Jacob had his ass hauled to the brig, while the Commander continues to walk free. Nighthawk paused. Nighthawk: Cry us a river, Admiral. Nighthawk paused. Nighthawk: Yeah, you heard me. Frankly...if you cannot handle the fact that ONI has its secrets...you should find a new career. I heard The Insurrection is looking for experienced leaders...minimum five years...command experience required...bilingualism considered an asset... Nighthawk stepped forward, as he glared at Harrison. Nighthawk: And another thing; don't slam your fist down in front of the lady...it comes off as very threatening... Nighthawk approached Harrison again, getting closer. Nighthawk: And I don't like it when people like you, threaten people like her.
