"Thank you sir," she spoke quietly, trusting in the lieutenant as she and the remaining members of her team rounded the corner. Following Cromwell's lead, they open fired on the remaining ODSTs, their strength fueled by the anger and grief they felt as they caught sight of their fallen teammates. Jade could do nothing, say nothing, to the men who had fallen and she knew they wouldn't want her to. They were dead, nothing could be done about that. And when the fire ceases, we will give you a proper fare well, she thought.

The concussion had taken the TRUST ODST's by surprise, taking them all out. Now they were all dead. Cromwell noticed how Jade looked upon the dead ODST's. The true ones. He said over the comm. "They died like warriors, true ODST's. Their death shall not be in vain." He applied a bandage on the wound he'd received from a Magnum, gritting his teeth as he applied it. "Okay, same route as before! Loot the dead and keep going. I'll secure the stairwell while you resupply!" By then, he'd already have his MA5C up to his shoulder, going in the entrance to the stairwell.

Jade said nothing to the lieutenant as she silently began to move the bodies of her dead men. Slowly, methodically, she began to re-position them until Rick, Conner, and Norton laid side by side one another. Their arms were crossed over their chests and their helmets were removed, placed by their heads. Jade took a step back then taking a breath, saluted her fallen soldiers. Behind her, the rest of the team slowly began to salute, following their leader. “First foot into hell. May you jump, take flight, and escape the hell we've landed in,” Jade spoke softly, remaining rigid for a few more seconds before slowly lowering her arm. She turned to her team, staring at each of them before nodding in thanks. “You heard what the lieutenant said. Take whatever supplies we can, stock up, then let's make these bastards pay.”

Dark frowned as he slid behind cover, popping up suddenly and firing his rifle twice, both punishing rounds flying toward Anubis, before he turned his rifle on Black Team, firing another five rounds on Black one, each round rapidly flying one after the other, aiming to buy Anaconda some more time.

Meanwhile: Kolya had been moving up the main stairway access, in an attempt to make it to the bridge, to find Spender, he was forced to stop, when he heard the sound of one of the doors opening just a flight above him. When he stopped, he could hear the chatter from Jade. Kolya: God damn UNSC... Kolya began to move more slowly, as he silently ascended the stairs. He checked his corners, as he moved up the stairs, eventual;y catch sight of Cromwell, who had his back turned, checking the flight of stairs that led upwards, towards the bridge. Kolya saw this, and wasted no time in making his move. He swiftly ran of the stairs, two at a time, silently, as he moved right up behind Cromwall. The moment that Kolya was right behind Cromwell, he let out a slight whistle, startling Cromwell, and forcing him to turn around very rapidly, his MA5C raised, and at the ready. However, as Cromwell spun around, Kolya used his left hand to catch the Barrel of the gun, stopping it from turning to fully face him. With his right hand, Kolya grabbed the grip of the rifle, and pushed upwards on the gun, simultaneously removing his left hand, and forcing the gun right out of Cromwell's hands, as the ironsights of the Assault Rifle drove right into Cromwell's face, causing him to stumble back int the corridor. However, before Cromwell could move too far away, Kolya grabbed him by the shoulder, and pulled him back towards the stairwell, spinning him around, and grabbed him from behind, so as to use Cromwell as a Human shield against Jade and her soldiers. Kolya grinned, as he slightly tossed the Assault Rifle in the air, in order to catch the gun by its handle, and aim it over Cromwell's shoulders, and right at Jade and the soldiers who were with her. Kolya: Have you UNSC bastards seen the morgue yet? It is quite a sight. Perhaps I could send you there...let you look around hmm? Kolya scoffed, as he pulled the trigger on the Assault Rifle, going full auto, and panning from left to right, as he swept the corridor with a hail of bullets from the MA5C Assault Rifle. Kolya had his arm tightly wrapped around Cromwell's neck, ready, at any moment, to flex his arm and end the life of his shield at a moment's notice. Kolya had expended the entire clip from the Assault Rifle, managing to hit a few of the supporting ODSTs that were behind Jade, while foring them into whatever covery the could find. As the gun clicked, Kolya frowned, and released Cromwell, and kicked him forward towards Jade, letting him stumble forward, and fall to the ground. Kolya then dropped the expended Assault Rifle, and pulled out his sidearm, as he backed up, and moved back into the stairwell, continuing his ascension up the stairs, to the main bridge. Kolya: Renegade...seal door Lambda-4-27! The door to the stairwell began to close, as the light above the door went red.

Jade's eyes widened then, as the doors slid shut, rushed forward towards her lieutenant. She felt the cold grip of confusion, fear, and anger flood through her veins. How could he? “Lieutenant... We must retreat and regroup. We have to get to a safer place and let my men rest. Or else we'll all die before any progress has been made,” she told him quietly, helping him up as best as she could. Turning to look back at her team, Jade's eyes gazed down at the sight of her team. Out of the ten, now five were dead. Five men she had worked with, had shared her life with. Watch over us, my fallen brothers and sisters, Jade prayed silently.

Landing on his butt as Kolya had thrown him, he drew his M6C Magnum, shooting several bullets at the now sealed door. Seeing it was to no avail, he'd roar outloud, smashing his left hand on the floor beside him. Frustrated that he had not been able to notice him earlier. "God fucking damnit!" Managing to hoist himself up, abit shaken as he'd finally manage to stand properly. He noticed the dead, shaking his dead. More ODST's that had died because they followed his orders. The upset Cromwell paid it no more heed, however, grabbing a M90 Close Assault Weapon, AKA a Shotgun. Taking it from a dead ODST, one that used to be on his side. Cromwell begins to speak into the comm. "Staff Sergeant, get the remains of your team ready. We're taking this motherfucker out. Double time through the corridor, I'll take point. There ought to be a second stairwell around here." By that he'd already begun jogging ahead, peeking around the next corner.

“That's enough Cromwell. I will not lose anymore of my men following that man because you are blinded by anger. Though our lives are expendable, I will not have them thrown away chasing down one man. Our mission was to get to the bridge and secure it. That is what we will do,” Jade answered, remaining rooted to her spot as she stared down at the jogging lieutenant. She had thrown aside his rank as she addressed him, not caring that he outranked her or that it would be considered insubordination for rejecting his orders. She had seen that man easily fight against the skilled lieutenant and she was not about to allow her men to blindly follow after him.

Kolya had continued to move up the stairs, eventually stopping when he saw a door labeled "DECK 01" Kolya grinned, as he stepped through the door, and made a B-line right for the bridge. As Kolya stormed onto the bridge, Spender turned in his chair, and faced Kolya. Spender: Mr. Kolya...welcome back... Kolya: Director Spender...the UNSC is heading this way. Last I saw of them, they were fighting their way here. We need to leave...now! Spender: I am aware of the fact that the UNSC is coming thing way. I am not concerned with what a few Marines can do. Kolya: Be that as it may, sir, I still recommend that we relocate you to a more secure location. Spender: Not yet Kolya...not yet... Kolya: Why the delay? Why are we waiting? Spender: Like I said before...someone has to stay behind, here, to ensure that Vanguard's escape is covered. The moment we launch that Prowler, the UNSC is going to see it. We have to defend it. I plan on holding out here, just for a while longer, to give Harrison and his cronies one final fight. Kolya: Seems unnecessarily dangerous. There are others on this ship who can give that order. Me, for example. Spender: Kolya...let me be clear about one thing; I have never been afraid of a fight. I have never been afraid to get my hands dirty. The only reason I do it so rarely is because I like to portray a simple message... Spender grinned, as he began to light up a cigarette. Spender: When I join the battle...shit gets serious... Spender took a drag of his cigarette, as he turned his chair around, to face the front of the bridge. Spender: Don't worry Kolya...everything is under control. After That Prowler is away...the UNSC will NOT know what hit them.

The Lieutenant stopped, looking back. "I understand your concerns Staff Sergeant, but if we're to finish this mission; We will have to push on nonetheless! We won't achieve nothing by standing here, and we have a mission to complete. REACH THE BRIDGE AND SECURE IT. And if we encounter him again, we stand united, he can't bloody kill us all! I'm going nonetheless!" By that, he turned around and resumed his jogging in the corridor.
