Erex...I think you are guessing...this is not guess work. Just because you can putvRAM sticks in, does not mean they will work. Rightclick on My Computer, select properties, and find me factual information. It is all there. I need your exact specs.

One second while I find the ram chips it says only 4gb.

Its working fine now, I think i found the problem my sister downloaded a file from a website that when scanned was a trojan so I removed the file and now the computer is much faster.

Thats not the problem. Trojans dont freeze systems....they log. They can log if they freeze asydtem. Now....tell me how much ram this laptop has according to Windows.

So you have a 64 bit version of Windows 7 running on 4 GB of ram. SO far so good. Now, when installing the drivers...did you install the 32 bit or 64 bit versions of the drivers? Chances are...you ave installed incompatible drivers. With that said... http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/t...ily=1073768663 Go there, and download the WIndows 7 64 bit drivers. Use device manager to uninstall all current drivers, and then begin reinstalling. Start with your graphics driver.
