- Barrabus is assigned to a team of Spec-Op Elites to recover a Forerunner artifact consider holy to the Covenant. At the fault of the Elites, Forerunner counter-measures are engaged. All of the Elites were killed. Barrabus was the sole suvivor of the mission, completing his task successfully with the recovery of the Forerunner artifact in question.

- Top minds in Section 0 realize the need to create more Class 0 Spartan IIs due to the loss of 20 Class 0 Spartans IIs four years earlier.
- Second iteration of Class 0 is nicknamed "The Seven".
- Issac, John, Kate, Tommy, Steve, Gary, and Russel are kidnapped, replaced with flash clones, and augmented.
- Concerns are raised about 7 year old children being used, citing the over-development of the genome in the children. Results begin to show that all concerns were unfoiunded as all 7 prove to be successful.

- Korman Industries becomes too complacent in its contract responsibilities. Section 0 frontmen warn of penalties for defaulting on the contract, with threats of legal and economic retaliation.

- Admiral Brandon Yates is assigned as commaning officer of the King Raven.
- Section 0, working through frontmen, close the contract with Korman Industries due to insuffeciant progress. Section 0 retaliation results in massive stock reduction and near faliure of the company.
- Korman Industries files for chapter 1 bankruptcy protection.

- Preston J. Vernette is promoted to Captain after successfully foiling separatist militant actions.
- Dancarus is assigned to The Devotion as an Obsidian Hierarchy agent. He poses as a Stalker bodyguard. His mission is to keep tabs on the inner workings of the Covenant but working closely with his father, as Barrabus was closely tied with the Covenant leadership.

The Human-Covenant War

- Contact with Harvest is lost.
- March
- Before its first mission, Admiral Yates is removed from command of the King Raven. Command is given to Captain Preston J. Vernette.
- Captain Preston J. Vernette, in direct command of the King Raven, is sent to investigate Harvest. King Raven is assigned 31 Class 0 Spartans.
- First contact with the Covenant is established. Brutes are the first species encountered, led by Chieftain Barrabus.
- Contact is made with the Elites. Elites are soon identified as Heretics, and are led by the disgraced Fleet Master Quinn.
- Kirk Korman is selected by Section 0 to replace his aging and uncooperative adoptive father as CEO of Korman Industries.
- Captain Vernette is captured by the Brutes. He is tortured for 7 days before being taken pity upon by Barrabus. Vernette manages to buy his freedom, but falls into a 2 week coma from the amount of physical trauma endured at the hands of the Brutes.
- Dancarus is supposidly killed by Captain Vernette. No body is ever recovered.
- April
- Class 0 Spartans assigned to the King Raven go rouge during the Harvest crisis. The Spartans turn hostil to the UNSC.
- Captain Vernette is promoted to Commodore for his combat role against the Covenant, desite poor odds. Knowledge of the Spartan betrayal is withheld from ONI.
- An alliance is brokered with the Brutes to deal with the Spartans. In exchnage for cooperation between Vernette and Barrabus, Harvest is promised to Barrabus. Agreement was made without consulting ONI. Vernette's crew was not privy to the details. Vernette decieved his crew into thinking the alliance was ONI-approved.
- Vernette and Barrabus continue their compaign against the Spartans and the Elites, who are bothy vying to the death of Vernette and Barrabus respectivly.
- Ongoing fighting results in deaths on all sides, with the ELites and Spartans taking the hardest strategic losses, but the Brutes and Vernette's crew taking the most numerous personnel losses.
- Military planning lands the renegade Spartans into an ambush set by Vernette's and Barrabus' forces. A large portion of the Spartans are killed. The rest manage to escape.
- Vernette and barrabus manage to locate Quinn and his Elites hiding in a UNSC mining facility. The Elites are eliminated and Quinn is supposidly killed. ALl evidence suggest Quinn is dead.
- Remaining Spartans launch a full-scale attack on the King Raven in order to steal the Shaw-Fujikawa Drive core. The Spartans need the Drive Core to power their own damaged, and commandeered, civilian transport ship to escape Harvest. The Spartans are successful in stealing the Drive Core, sustaining limited losses.
- The Spartans manage to escape Harvest, leavng the King Raven stranded at Harvest.
- Kirk Korman replaces Eugene Korman as CEO. Eugene Korman is kept in cryo stasis, under Section 0 observation, as a means of coercion for Kirk Korman.
- All of the King Raven crew, save for Preston Vernette, are put into cryo stasis. AT maximum speeds, the King Raven is estimated to take more than 12 years to reach the next inhabited system.

- A rapidly degrading King Raven, manned and maintained, single-handidly, by Preston Vernette, makes contact with another UNSC ship. The King Raven was saved by the UNSC.

- Construction of the Cloak and Dagger Begins. Shipyard is located in orbit of Mercury in the Sol star system. Shipyard logisitics are classified and all knowledge of it is buried.

- Chieftain Barrabus promotes one of his Bodyguards, Dangerus, to the rank of Chieftain. Dangerus is granted his own ship.
- Preston Vernette attends a MESNA meeting on the colony world of Paradise Lost.
- Richard Tunny, one of the leading physicists in the UNSC, announces that he had made one of the greatest breakthroughs in the field of Slipspace and FTL technology.
- Tunny claims that has has developed a newer and better Slipspace drive core.
- Preston Vernette discovers that Richard Tunny's breakthrough was, in fact, a Covenant Slipspace Drive Core that was recovered from the debris field of New Harmony. Vernette identified the Drive Core as the same core he was asked to research and study. Knowing the volatile security of the Drive Core, Vernette declined and refused to research the core.
- The Covenant managed to track the Core to Paradise Lost.
- Richard Tunny is killed.
- A Covenant Super Carrier is sent into ELO to retrieve the Drive Core. Preston Vernette decides that the best course of action is to rig the Drive Core to explode, and send it back to the Covenant, via the Super Carrier. Preston Vernette, along with other survivors, manage to evac back to the King Raven.
- The Covenant manage to retrieve the rigged Drive Core, and return it to the Super Carrier. With the explosion of the Drive Core, the Super Carrier is split in half. The resulting explosion and collpase of the Super Carrier on the city causes widespread damage, destroying a majority of the city.
- ONI dispatches Deputy Director Yates, along with a dispatch of Class 0 Spartans to assist the UNSC forces on Paradise Lost. Upon arriving at paradise Lost, Deputy Director Yates' frigate is damaged, and forced into an emergancy landing.
- In an effort to assassinate Deputy Director Yates, Vernette requests that Chieftain Barrabus go to the crash site and kill yates and his Spartans. However, this plan backfires and results in Barrabus being captured, and brought back to the King Raven.
- In an effort to prevent classified ONI Information from falling into the hands of the Covenant, and inflict massive enemy casualties, Preston Vernette intentionally leaks the location of ONI Facility Ceti, a facility dedicated to housing classified weapons and research projects, to the Elites. The Elites launch a massive assault on ONI Facility Ceti. Teams lead by Preston Vernette manage to plan Nuclear weapons in the facility.
- Preston Vernette uses the assault on ONI Facility Ceti to recover a classified set of ODST Prototype armor.
- After all UNSC forces extract from ONI Facility Ceti, the Nuclear weapons are remotely detonated, killing over 2000 enemy contacts, mostly Elites and Grunts.
- Private construction of advanced ODST suit, under the supervision of Preston J. Vernette begins.
- Ying and Yang are discovered on Paradise Lost. Tyber Vernette is sent to investigate. Ying and Yang are attempting to heist a Casino.
- Preston Vernette discovers that ONI had a direct hand in manufacturing a drug used to incapacitate Brutes. Vernette orders Dr. Jennifer Frost to synthsize a counter-agent.
- Rescue teams are sent to the Paradise Strip to search for survivors. Survivors are found and are evacuated to the Paradise Lost spaceport.
- Preston Vernette orders the capture of Brute Firebomb Grenades for a "future project". UNSC Marines manage to capture the Brute Firebomb Grenades successfully.
- Preston Vernette deliberatly sabotages the King Raven security systems, in preperation for helping Barrabus escape from captivity.
- A team of UNSC Forces are sent onto a Covenant ship to Capture an Elite Zealot. Vernette informs the UNSC Marines that they are to capture the Zealot for interrogation purposes. However, upon bringing the Elite back to the King Raven, Vernette took the Elite's shield generator and executed the Elite.
- Perilus, Dangerus' son, is killed.
- Sergeant Major Paul Jay is killed.
- Deputy Director Yates summoned the UNSC Prowler New York Exhibit. Yates intended to have Barrabus transfered to the Prowler and brought back to ONI for experimentation.
- Preston Vernette, under the excuse that he was going to the surface to assist his brother in combating Yin and Yang, went to his cybernetics lab, and decided to utilize the classifed ODST Prototype suit to assist in Barrabus' escape. Vernette, posing as the ODST, assisted in Barrabus' escape, which result in the death of several dozen marines, and the near-death of Issac-Z214. Vernette managed to get Barrabus off the King Raven.
- Major Covenant victory, Paradise was glassed.
- Vernette was court martialed for his actions at Paradise Lost. Although he was not discharged from the UNSC Navy, Vernette was put of a very strict notice that any more infractions on his part would result in him being discharged. With this Knowledge, Vernette returned to the King Raven and spent several weeks constructing the Nighthawk and Anaconda suits.
- Completion of the Nighthawk and Anaconda suits and weapons. Preston Vernette prepares his letter of resignation from the UNSC Navy. Vernette meets with barrabus on what is left of New Harmony, and discusses the situation with the Brute. Barrabus is able to convince Vernette not to resign, but instead, cooperate with ONI as Vernette, but use the Nighthawk persona to advance his career.
- Assault on classified ONI shipyard in orbit of Mercury occurs. Assault is Carried out by two unidentified assailants known simply as Nighthawk and Anaconda. Classified ONI Stealth Vulture is stolen. Several Spartan IIIs are killed.
- Director Kapsky is killed.
- Preston Vernette is appointed to the UNSC Security Council.
- C.G.B. Spender is appointed Director of ONI Section 0. The Trust manages to take control of a large portion of Section 0 with the appointment of C.G.B. Spender.
- Director C.G.B. Spender appoints Trust scientists to critical areas of ONI research projects.

- Nighthawk and Anaconda are spotted on Genesis.
- ONI directs immediate action against the two terrorists for their ongoing activities.
- Preston J. Vernette is relieved of his command of the King Raven. he is replaced by Deputy Director Yates of ONI Section 0. Yates is assisted by Nikolai 035, a Class 1 Spartan II.
- A large portion of Vernette's crew find out about the immediate threat of a Covenant invasion. Vernette's crew, lead by Major Jacob Sharpmen, disobeys ONI orders to hunt Nighthawk and Anaconda, and proceed evacuation of Genesis.
- The Covenant attack Genesis.
- Jacob Sharpmen forms an alliance with Nighthawk and Anaconda to combat the Covenant. This results in a major Covenant defeat.
- Rose-Z178 is killed.
- Nighthawk and Anaconda, secured in the knowledge that Genesis is no longer in danger from the Covenant, break the alliance. Nighthawk and Anaconda ambush Jacob SHarpmen, and a large squad of Marines, in order to eliminate the remaining Spartans. All Spartans are killed in the ambush.
- Nikolai-Z035 is killed.
- Preston Vernette returns to command of the King Raven.
- UNSC Victory at Genesis. Genesis was never glassed.
- The Risk-Takers project is started by the Trust in direct response to Nighthawk and Anaconda. The project is under the direct supervision of Director C.G.B. Spender. The Risk-Takers are unaware of C.G.B. Spender's position as Director of Section 0, nor of his exact position inside of The Trust. Section 0 is unaware of C.G.B. Spender's involvement with The Trust. The Risk-Takers know him as "Cigarette Smoking Man", or simply, "Cancer Man".

- ONI Section 0 devotes massive resources to the elimination of Nighthawk and Anaconda.
- Vice Admiral Preston J. Vernette (temporary flash clone) is called in to deal with Nighthawk and Anaconda after multiple failed attepts to stop the duo.
- Vice Admiral Vernette accpepts the task, despite working in full cooperation, unbeknownst to ONI Section 0, with Nighthawk and Anaconda.
- Due to the crippled nature of the Spartan II and Spartan III programs, Nighthawk, Anaconda, and the flash clone of Vice Admiral Vernette orchastrate a fake death for Nighthawk and Anaconda.
- Nighthawk and Anaconda are confimred dead by Vice Admiral Vernette and all those involved in the mission to kill Nighthawk and Anaconda.
- The flash clone was subsequently killed by Nighthawk.
- Vice Admiral Vernette returns to duty, commendated and highly praised for the completion of a mission where countless have failed.
- Chieftain Barrabus returns to the Devotion from "religious observance leave"
- The suits belonging to Nighthawk and Anaconda are fully repaired and stored away on Earth.

- The Siege of Paris IV Begins.

- Vice Admiral Vernette and Chieftain Barrabus conspire to assassinate a Covenant Minor Prophet. Barrabus provides the location of where Barrabus was meeting the Prophet. The King Raven goes to carry out the entire operation. Vernette's crew is unaware of the agreement between Vernette and Barrabus. The Prophet, who is under the protection of the Elites, leaves Barrabus' ship to return to his own, via Phantom, only to be destroyed en-route by the King Raven. The King Raven slips away fro the scene without detection.
- The Invasion of Reach, by the Covenant, begns. The invasion fleet is led by the Elites, but Barrabus is present in the fleet.
- Preston J. Vernette is stationed at Reach at this time.
- The UNSC Fleet is defeated, with only the King Raven remaining as the last ship, with the last few UNSC ships retreating the system. The King Raven hides in the engine wake of The Devotion to evade The Covenant in orbit of Reach.
- Vernette assumes direct command of all remaining forces on Reach to continue fighting, to try and save Reach.

- Preston Vernette is captured by the Elites. The Elites bring Vernette to Barrabus, who then conspires with Vernette to help him escape. The Elites, growing impatient with Barrabus' delays in questioning and interrogating Vernette resolve to do it themselves. Vernette is taken from Barrabus' ship and is to be delivered to an Elite ship via Phantom. Durig this time, Barrabus returned to the surface of Reach and re-activated a downed AA-turret and shot the Phantom down. Barrabus rushes to the crash site and uses a UNSC SNiper Rifle to cover Vernette's escape back to the UNSC.
- Tyber Vernette is given the field promotion to General.
- Preston Vernette is shot by an Insurrectionist sniper. The bullet piercess his heart and nearly kills him. Vernette is rushed back to the King Raven where emergancy surgery replaces his damaged heart with an artificial one.
- Barrabus catches wind of the attempted assassination and goes and hunts down the insurrectionist responsible and kills him.
- Barrabus, who was blamed for Vernette escaping, is attacked and captured by the Elite Spec-Ops commander Voro and his Spec-Ops squad. Barrabus is able to escape shortly after, returning to the Devotion.
- Tyber Vernette is killed in defense of the Washabi Peli-Pads by the Spec-Ops Commander Voro. Tyber's body is returned to the King Raven.
- Preston Vernette and Barrabus manage to trick Voro into an ambush. Voro is killed by Preston Vernette inretalliation for his brother's death.
- The King Raven leaves Reach.
- Vice Admiral Vernette is promoted Admiral and appointed a Fleet Admiral by the UNSC.
- Vernette uses his clearence to authorize the creation of the Tyber AI.

- Project CLOAK AND DAGGER nears completion.
- George Hawke is assigned to be Preston Vernette's bodyguard.
- Chieftain Barrabus begins investigating the existence of the Obsidian Hierarchy.
- Vernette attends a HIGHCOM secuity briefing. AFter the conclusion of the Briefing, the Covenant begin their assault on Earth.
- Vernette oversees the destruction of ONI Gamma Site, using the protocol of preventing the building of falling into enemy hands as a pretense for extracting a "classifed weapon" from the building's sub-basement
- Vernette order's his soldiers to assist him in getting access to a HIGHCOM production facility where another "classified weapon" is stored. He emphasises the dangers of letting this weapon fall into enemy hands.

- The King Raven is Destroyed.
- Deputy Director Brandon Yates is killed.
- Eugene Korman (Clone) is killed.

- Chieftain Barrabus is betrayed by his second in Command, Fornicus. Barrabus is found and brought to the Dreadhawk to undergo augmentation. UNSC Files on Fleet Commander Barrabus are sealed. Barrabus is listed as killed, and Preston Vernette assigns a new name to Barrabus; Delta.
- Delta officially defects to the UNSC. However, defection is kept a secret from the rest of the UNSC. Delta remains an enigmatic figure on the Dreadhawk, remaining a complete mysters to the crew, and rarely, if ever, being seen. Preston Vernette discloses no information on the engimatic Brute that had managed to find his way into the inner circle of Vernette's trust.

- Feet Admiral Preston Vernette is appointed Director of ONI Section 0. Preston Vernette assumed immediate command of the Cloak and Dagger.
- Ongoing military compaign against the Covenant Remnant continues. Alliance with the Elites proves to be an asset, as the joint UNSC and Elite forces are able to hold the line.
- Preston Vernette assigns Delta to assist Recovery Team Joker in securing Earth. Delta goes with RTJ to Texas to help stop a Covenant Remnant cell.
- ONI takes an interest in Delta and decides to stage an abduction of the brute for analytical purposes. Delta is held in captivity for a short time before being found and rescued by Preston Vernette.
- Daniel Letterman is killed.
- Fornicus is captured on Earth by ODST teams. Fornicus is brought back to the Cloak and Dagger.
- Lt. Cooke begins work on Fornicus, attemtping to recreate the augmentation process used on Barrabus.
- ONI recieves intel that Admiral Rojas is assisting criminal elements.
- Srgt Sanderson is killed.
- Director Vernette orders an investigation of Admiral Rojas. Rojas is arrested and brought back to the Cloak and Dagger for questioning. Rojas reveals that a coup attempt is currently in motion to remove Vernette as Director, only to be replaced by someone more compromising.
- Vernete, in an attempt to stop Cooke, proceeds to one of the UNSC's command centers in Kentucky. However, Vernette is betrayed by the UNSC, which was manipulated by Cooke. Vernette is stripped of rank, cloned, and his death is faked in order to hide the reasons for the transition of power. Cooke changes his identity to Gibson, and assumes control of ONI as the new Director.
- The now Director Gibson undergoes surgical reconstruction to change his appearence.
- Delta, learning of the deception, defects from ONI in order to save Vernette from ONI Captivity. Delta leavs the Cloak and Dagger and steals a ground base naval vessel known as the Ticonderoga and uses it as his base of operations.
- March
- Delta manages to steal medical information from a UNSC Medical facility located in Berlin. These medical files veryify the cloning of Vernette, and the medical procedures performed on Gibson to alter his appearence.
- With the assistance of Sergeant McTavish, Vernette is able to escape from his holding cell. Vernette soon discovers that he was imprisoned on a ship that was in orbit of Earth. Vernette managed to take control of the ship and perform an emergency landing. Vernette deliberately "landed" the prison ship right into the Kentucky HIGHCOM HQ, killing the officers who killed him, save for Director Gibson.
- Vernette was able to Contact Delta to pick him up and bring him back to the Ticonderoga.
- Vernette managed to regroup some of his crew that had either been scattered or imprisoned by Cooke. Vernette was able to retake the Cloak and Dagger and kill Cooke.

- Jacob Sharpmen is reinstated to ONI and granted his rank of Captain.
- Jacob is promoted to the Rank of Major, and granted the title of Agent.
- July
- Jacob looses his right leg in battle with Elites. His leg is replace by a cybernetic prosthetic.
- Junior is killed.
- August
- Jacob looses his left arm in battle with Nighthawk and Anaconda. His arm is replace by a cybernetic prosthetic.
