Kirk was sitting behind his desk. He had some gold colored string tangled in his 2 hands. He was leaning back on his chair, as he gleaned at his terminal screen. Strings of data compiled, line by line.
Kirk waited patiently, as the he started forming an Eiffel Tower out of the strings in tangled between his fingers, without looking.
Omega was standing behind Kirk. He had his arms crossed, as he stared at the computer screen as well.
Omega: What is the point of this...
Kirk: I am transferring the data I got from today's test session...
Omega: What were you testing exactly...
For all I know, you could have just roasted some random nobody...for fun.
Kirk: Well, I do take pleasure from the little things in life...but that is besides the point.
I want this new product to be fool-proof, for far too long, my inventions have done more harm, than good...
Omega: So what are you creating?
Kirk: The Kel-505 ODST Harness system. I've taken to calling it, Salamander armor...
In essense...Super heat resistant ODST armor.
Omega: It's been done.
Kirk: Not well enough, Nothing is ever perfect I say!
Kirk paused
Kirk: It all started when I got hit by that plasma bolt...Do you remember that Omega?
Omega: Yes...you drank half your Mardi Gras supply of wine.
Kirk laughed
Kirk: Yes...I didn't want to drink the rest of my supply, so I decided to perfect fireproof armor.
he paused
Kirk: But I plan to do more than make fireproof armor...
I want people to go swimming in volcanoes with this new armor!
Metaphorically speaking, of course.
Kirk never removed eye contact from the screen.
Kirk: At the very, very least, ODSTS will no longer have to worry about plasma burns...
Kirk paused
Kirk: Once I find the correct...material.
I've considered using some sort of helium infused alloy coating as a base, but to achieve it would require temperatures so low...Troopers will be wishing they were on fire...
Kirk chuckled.
Kirk: I need to develop something...new.
But until then...
Kirk continued staring at the computer screen. The analysis on the armor he tested had not yet been completed.
