Reynolds: "Cortez bring us in, one 2.5 kilometers off of the King Raven's starboard side, declination 25 degrees. Keep us between the two but out of fire. Anderson, prepare all point defense batteries to fire on incoming missiles. Prep archer missiles and be ready to assist and coordinate with the Admiral, if we need to. Cortez, be ready to punch it if the Ulterior Motive fires too much at once. We're going to take the hit, if necessary." His bridge officers went about preparing their tasks. Reynolds stood in front of his chair as the Mind's Attrition took its position next to the King Raven. Reynolds: "Lauren, get all of the damage control teams ready for breaches. I want us to minimize our damage as much as we can." Cochraine began to start her work, coordinating and prepping the DCTs to areas with the highest chance to sustain significant damage and attention. Reynolds then spoke to Frost, confirming his status. Reynolds: "We're ready, Captain." On the Ulterior Motive: Thor thought about Jacob and remembering hearing bits and pieces about him. He was surprised Jacob would have come to join the Trust. He remembered noting how anti-Trust he was. Thor: "Do you think he's the one who leaked information to the UNSC?"

Anaconda walked passed the bodies, keeping up with Jacob as he sprinted down the corridor. As Anaconda walked, he had picked up a number of different scents, none of which were familiar to him. Anaconda: I think we are in luck. I cannot pick up the scent for The Risk Takers. They are nowhere near by. If it stays like that for only a while longer, we should be good. Anaconda paused. Anaconda: How much of this ship have you explored? How much do you know about its layout? Meanwhile: Jennifer grinned when she heard Jesse's question. Jennifer: You started about 10 minutes ago when you left this ship. We, on the other hand, are starting now. Once Jennifer heard the confirmations from Reynolds and Harrison, she gave the word. Jennifer: Alright boys...let's get to work! Jennifer paused as she organized her thoughts. Jennifer: Helm...coordinate our navigational data with the helm station of The Mind's Attrition. This should allow them to keep tighter formation with us. After that is done, move us in on a heading of 1-3-8 by 2-5...maximum cruising speed. Prepare for a lateral run on The Ulterior Motive. Jennifer paused. Jennifer: All weapons...stand by. Lock targets on point defense weapons, and fire at first opportunity. The King Raven began to move forward, as it began locking its targets, and firing their archer missiles and deck guns in rapid succession on the desired targets. Meanwhile: Aboard The Ulterior Motive, Spender was issuing counter orders against the UNSC fleet. Spender: Helm...move us directly towards The King Raven and the support vessel. Lock weapons on The King Raven, and fire at will. Spender then turned to look at Yates, who was standing at a nearby console. Spender: Yates...send a message to Reynolds. Tell him to begin transmitting real-time data on the UNSC fleet. We are going to need it if we are going to counter their offensive strategies. Yates nodded. Yates: Aye sir! Yates began to draft a brief encoded message to Captain Reynolds, which was clear and concise in its content. Begin transmission of real-time UNSC fleet data to The Ulterior Motive...including fleet communication frequency and encoding protocols...

"Awwww yeah." He said in response to the Jennifer's answer. He looked through the cockpit of the Pelican, watching the Ulterior Motive. Dark was doing the same. "Cocky... Huh. Interesting..." He said to himself.

[Kairu]

Anderson received Yate's message at his terminal. He didn't recognize the sender, but he assumed he knew who it was from. Anderson: "Captain Reynolds." Anderson's voice was low and calm, although not to arouse suspicion. Reynolds looked over at Anderson and recognized the look of importance. Reynolds then walked over to where Anderson was and read the message. Reynolds looked at Anderson, who was making eye contact back. Reynolds thought briefly, but knew he would have to show the Trust that he was still loyal to them, by choice. Reynolds: "Do it." Anderson began uploading and transmitting the relevant information to the Ulterior Motive. While he was doing so, Cortez, the helmsman, spoke up. Cortez: "Captain, the King Raven is beginning its run." Reynolds: "Keep up with them Cortez, stay in formation. Let's be ready for those missiles."

[Hells Sniper]

Liam considered what Thor had said. Liam: To be honest Thor, I have no idea. He killed over two dozen of his ex-comrades in the last engagement. Even if he did, he won't be returning to the UNSC. If he did so, he's a dead man. Savannah chimed in. Savannah: And even if he got enough data to help his cause, he'll be tried and executed just like any other. Liam laughed. Liam: The man has sealed his fate in more ways than one. Be on the look out. Meanwhile: Jacob shrugged. Jacob: It's like any other ship in it's class. A few modifications, but. Jacob pulled the PDA from his pocket and opened up the files pertaining to the Ulterior Motive's structure. Jacob: I did manage to snag these before...so we could relay them to Nighthawk and the fleet. Jacob paused, they were quickly approaching the R&D department doors. Jacob handed the PDA to Anaconda. Jacob: Why don't you do that and I'll clear out this room? Meanwhile: Harrison watched as the King Raven and Ulterior Motive formed up in a tighter formation. Harrison: Helm bring us in, bearing of 1-2-9 by 3-8 degrees. Harrison turned and spoke to his weapons officer. Harrison: Cycle point defense guns and arm shiva warheads. Harrison turned once more. Harrison: Who has my firing parameters on the hangar bays? The Vigorous Inferno's AI perked up when it heard Harrison. VI: That would be me, sir. The most vulnerable of the hangar bays is on deck nine, hangar bay twelve; right underneath the bulk of their armor plating is weak spot. Harrison nodded. Harrison: Lock on and fire at will, cycle archer missile pods. Once we breach launch shiva warheads on... Harrison looked at the holograms of the ship and waited a few moments, running the calculations in his head. Harrison: A target parameter of twenty-one by nineteen degrees, adjust for approach velocity. VI: Might I suggest firing on vector twenty by eighteen, Admiral? Harrison nodded. Harrison: Just do it. Fire at will.

[Naked Crook]

Anaconda shook his head Anaconda: Asking me to do that is like asking you to pull the heads off your enemies; it just isn't what you're good at. Anaconda paused. Anaconda: Hold onto it for now. Once we get inside the R&D area...I will look around for anything we can use...and you can send the information off. Meanwhile: Aboard the bridge of The Ulterior Motive, Yates had received the information from Reynolds, and he was integrating the information into the local battle net. Yates: Alright...that should do it! Reynolds gave us what we needed. Comms...switch to a comm frequency of 3.667 THz...encoding algorithm Delta-3-1-Alpha Just as Yates gave this order, the comm chatter from the UNSC fleet could be heard. Harrison's orders were the first thing to be given. Spender: turn our broadside away, and do not allow The Vigorous Inferno to hit our hanger bays! Adjust our heading and take us right at them. Target their primary reactor, and hit them with everything we have! Take us within 1 Km of their hull. Spender paused. Spender: Bring all point defense weapons to bare on Harrison's ship...shoot down everything he throws at us!

Thor: "Got it, Liam. Thanks, and good luck."

[Hells Sniper]

Jacob shrugged and took the PDA back, sliding it back into his pocket. Jacob looked at the door to the R&D department, he looked through the window slit inside the door and peered around. Jacob: I'm counting six marines, twelve engineers, and one officer. Jacob shrugged. Jacob: Simple enough. Meanwhile: Harrison slammed his fist down when he saw the Ulterior Motive begin to alter course. Harrison: Helm, bring us about! Bring all point defense guns online, defensive maneuvers! Meanwhile: Liam nodded. Liam: Good luck to you as well. Liam out.

[Naked Crook]

Anaconda peered through the window, as he took a quick look inside. Anaconda: If we rush them...we can take them down before any of them sound an alarm. If you stick to the left side of the room, I can move in on the right, We should be able to sweep through there no problem. Anaconda paused. Anaconda: Focus on the Marines first, as they appear to have the biggest weapons. The Officer and the engineers are either unarmed, or only armed with small hand guns. Anaconda held his assault rifle with one hand, as he readied the weapon. Anaconda: I will go first, and draw fire. Follow up and keep me covered. Anaconda looked at Jacob. Anaconda: Ready? Meanwhile: Harrison: Helm, bring us about! Bring all point defense guns online, defensive maneuvers! Spender grinned as he heard Harrison's order The Vigorous Inferno to turn away. Spender: The spineless prick is now on the run. Good. Spender lit up a cigarette, as he looked at his weapons officer, and issued an order. Spender: Bring our forward heavy deck cannons online, and target Harrison's point defense arcs. Put a hole in his defenses, and then target the exposed areas with a full barrage of Archer Missiles from our port quadrant. Spender then heard Jennifer issuing commands to the fleet. Jennifer: Admiral...we are coming about. The Ulterior Motive has given us a clear shot at their aft point defense weapons. Spender frowned when he heard this. He then gave another order to his weapon's officer. Spender: Arm all starboard archer pods, and get a weapons lock on The King Raven with our aft deck guns! Fire the decks guns at will, with a simultaneous spread of Archer Missiles! Just as Spender said this, Kolya spoke up with a suggestion. Kolya: Sir...I have an idea how we can further tip the scales in our favor. Spender looked at Kolya. Spender: What do you have in mind Kolya? Kolya: Do you remember the Sabres that Black Team was using to "rescue" those evac transports from the New Havana spaceport? Spender: Yes I do. We recalled those Sabres back to the ship. Kolya: We should redeploy them, and commence a precise stealth strikes on The King Raven and The Vigorous Inferno. We can catch them off guard and hit them hard where they are not expecting it. Spender took a drag of his cigarette, as he nodded. Spender: Assemble our best pilots and deploy them immediately! Yates then spoke up. Yates: Sir...I may also have something of value. Spender then looked at Yates. Yates: Based on the way The Mind's Attrition is moving along side The King Raven, it is very plausible that Reynolds is flying support for Captain Frost. If we can coordinate with Reynolds...we can pull off a perfectly orchestrated assault on The Mind's Attrition which should sideline them, without doing too much damage to them, but also prevent them from working against us any more than they currently have to. Yates paused. Yates: We could "pretend" to cripple them. Spender: It would also make our offensive strikes against The King Raven easier. Spender nodded. Spender: Figure something out, then contact Reynolds ASAP and take care of it. You are the one that brought Reynolds into this, so you should be the one to yank on his leash when he needs it. Get it done! Meanwhile: Aboard Nighthawk's Vulture, Nighthawk was alone in the cockpit, as he watched the sensor readout from the battle between The UNSC and The Trust. Nighthawk was focused on the battle, but his attention was broken when HAWK appeared on his dashboard, and began to speak. HAWK: Nighthawk...you have an incoming transmission...on a Covenant carrier wave. Nighthawk nodded. Nighthawk: Patch it through. Nighthawk waited a moment, before he spoke. Nighthawk: This is Nighthawk. With who in The Covenant do I have the pleasure of treating with? Nighthawk waited for a response. He eventually heard a voice come through the comm line. Xyrho: It is I...the one who fought by your side against The Trust... Xyrho paused. Xyrho: I prefer not to use my name. Nighthawk: Ohhh, don't worry there buddy. I totally understand. I don't like using my real name either. Nighthawk paused. Nighthawk: So what do I owe the pleasure? Xyrho: I am looking for an update. We agreed upon a sharing of information. Nighthawk: That we did. I would be more than happy to share some news with you. Nighthawk paused. Nighthawk: I am sure you are seeing the battle between the four Human ships? Xyrho: The entire Covenant is watching that. Some of us are amused. I am sure The Brutes are wagering on who wins. Nighthawk: I don't doubt that. Xyrho: I, on the other hand, am doing no such thing. I know more than they do, so I am inclined to see this less as entertainment...and more as a development. I want to know where we currently stand. Nighthawk: Well...if you take a look at your sensor readout...you will notice a ship with the IFF "ULTR-MOTV" Xyrho: I see it. Nighthawk: That is The Trust. We are trying to get on that ship. Xyrho: A prudent course of action. Nighthawk: It is. We can do serious damage to The Trust, and by extension, Vanguard, if we can get aboard. Xyrho: The Covenant has methods of boarding hostile ships. If you managed to get aboard, you could then help me get aboard. I could bring loyal warriors to help you combat Vanguard's Acolytes. All you will need to do is expose vacant escape pod hatches. From there, we can latch onto the hostile ship and begin our attack. Nighthawk laughed. Nighthawk: Vanguard's Acolytes? You know, Elite...I like you. You make me laugh. Nighthawk paused. Nighthawk: I will be more than happy to help you get aboard. I really want to see how much damage you can do. Nighthawk paused. Nighthawk: Go and get your boys ready for battle. I will contact you again once I free up a few life pod docking ports for you. In the mean time...we should maintain comm silence unless there is a complication or emergency Xyrho: Agreed. Nighthawk: Nighthawk out. Nighthawk closed the comm line, as he chuckled to himself again. Nighthawk: Vanguard's Acolytes...that is gold!

Jacob nodded. Jacob: I'll be right behind you. Jacob clicked the safeties off the two Socoms and raised them to the side of his head. Meanwhile: Weapons Officer: Sir, we are being hit with a constant supply of archer missiles. Harrison was about to relay an order when another officer spoke up. Officer: We've lost three of our point defense guns, we are vulnerable to attack in decks nine through twelve, sections one through fourteen. Harrison cursed under his breath. How the hell are they doing this? Harrison paused, he walked next to his weapons officer and glanced at his screen. Harrison: LT, seal and evacuate those areas. You, son, I want you to hit them right where it hurts, do not let up fire and do not let their archer missile pods get by. Cycle aft point defense guns, fire only on the archer missiles! Harrison turned around and walked back to his holotable. VI: Sir, might I suggest we use our size to our advantage? Harrison raised an eyebrow. VI: If you do- Harrison raised his hand in the air. Harrison: Helm, plot a course on a direct path with the Ulterior motive. LT, prepare forward guns, and do not stop firing. Cycle all archer missile pods. Hit them. Slowly, but surely, the Vigorous Inferno began to turn itself around, as it headed on a straight path towards the Ulterior Motive. Harrison: VI, Attack Pattern Hotel-Oscar-9-0-1. HO901 was an attack pattern created specifically by Harrison and one that only he and a few officers on his bridge knew. It was a wild stunt, but one that could turn the tide of the battle. A few of his officers glanced at him, it was risky. The required timing of it could mean the difference between safety and total annihilation. If they didn't pull up at the right moment, all they would was enter a crash between two ships. VI: At what moment, sir? Harrison: Just wait for my signal.
