As Jacob waited a few minutes, he was awoken by the voice of Jennifer filling his ears, he listened to Jennifer, she was clearly annoyed by him and more importantly, she was angry. He was, nonetheless, happy with her responding however.
Jacob: Listen, Captain, I know you don't trust me right now. I know that and it's completely acceptable, you just have to understand that I had no choice in defecting at that moment. I was outnumbered, outgunned, I had to go...and I had to keep the charade up. I had to kill those men and women to gain the Trust of these assholes. I had an in, and as a member of ONI, I took it.
Jacob was talking fast, he wanted to spend as much time talking in the two minutes that anything else.
Jacob: Black Team and the rest of this organization have taken me in as one of their own now. I have access to the entire ship and you saw my conversation with Anaconda. I am going to help get him off this ship, whether the UNSC shoots at me or not. And I am going to make this ship visible to you guys, whether you try to kill me or not. I am trying my hardest here, Captain. I killed men and women because if I didn't Black Team would have killed me, so I took a chance to get inside their heads, to get inside their organization.
Jacob took a deep breath and continued again.
Jacob: Aboard this ship is a construct, I don't know of what, but it was left behind by the Covenant's "Gods," and it calls itself Vanguard. I'm going to be honest with you, Captain, it scared the shit out of me and you saw Anaconda, it scared him too. When was the last time you saw a brute shake in his boots?
Jacob took one more deep breath and finished up.
Jacob: It wants us all dead; the Trust, the UNSC, the Covenant, it's all the same to him and unless we destroy it now, we have no hope of survival. And come on, when have you ever heard my say the odds weren't in our favor? You might think I am making this up, that I am saying all of this to get on your good side again, but frankly Captain; I wouldn't trust me either and I am not asking for your trust. I am asking for your help, for you help to let me keep this agent-like shit up. I'm in the Trust, Captain, use me.
Jacob paused.
Jacob: Oh, and Captain, by the looks of how the ship has been running the past twenty minutes, they know what Nighthawk is planning to do.
