A Brute chieftain was lounging on a large marble throne. The throne wasp perched at the top of some jagged, stone steps.
The Chieftain's hammer rested against the side of the throne, it was longer than most hammers, but was stripped of it's large battery, in it's place, was another blade.
The room itself was very large. The high ceilings made room for large banners bearing the Chieftain's sigil. Everything in the room appeared to be made out of stone. The large dinnertable, at the bottom of the steps, the dinnerware, even some of the guards had chunks of stone grafted onto their armor. The crudely made pillars, were nothing more than chunks of rock, piled on top of each other.
The chieftain was stuffing his face, as his guards were littered across the steps, feasting on whatever scraps the the chieftain tossed down, or accidentally knocked off his table.
The chieftain stopped eating, when all of a sudden, a large breeze entered the room. A different scent was in the air.
He looked down at the bottom of the steps, and saw a malnourished brute minor, kneeling down before him.
Minor: Chieftain Rhiktus...A Chieftain who claims to be from..."Another time"...comes wishing an audience with you.
Rhiktus gulped what he had in his mouth, and rubbed his goatee, bits of meat, and flies would jump out with each stroke.
Rhiktus: I was not expecting any visitors...Who let him past the gate?
Minor: Pack Chieftain Decimus was guarding the gate...
Rhiktus sighed
Rhiktus: It's the time of consummation...so I shall lessen his punishment...
Rhiktus paused
Rhiktus: Throw his offspring into the "Pit"...Their mettle shall determine their fate.
The Minor looked up at Rhiktus, and gasped, before looking straight back down.
Minor: It will be done my Chieftain...
Rhiktus paused.
Rhiktus: Alright...Well, whoever this brute is, he must have ventured far...
Escort him in.
Voice: That will not be necessary, High Chieftain of Olka-Vincille.
A masked chieftain strolled into the room, and approached the steps leading up to the chieftain, he placed one foot on a step, and stared at Rhiktus.
Rhiktus: It is...blasphemy to look the chieftain, of Olka-Vincille, in the eye...
Masked Chieftain: You've gotten fat Rhiktus...
Rhiktus glared at Masked Chieftain, he scoffed, as he slowly stood up from his throne, and lumbered down the steps to face the Masked Chieftain.
He sniffed the air around him, stared.
Rhiktus: Remove your headdress...I wish to make sure of something...
Masked Chieftain: Unless you doubt your nose...Then you are already sure of who I am.
Rhiktus: Firstborn of the Silver Haired Fool...
You are Atticus...
Atticus: It is true, that I am Atticus, but let me assure you that my father was no fool.
Rhiktus: He's dead...isn't he?
Atticus: Only after your current Chieftain...Delta, worked in cooperation with another cowardly brute, and a number of humans.
Rhiktus: A True Chieftain is able to face any adversary that crosses him...No matter the odds.
Atticus: Oh? Is that so?
A large figure decloaked behind Rhiktus, and grabbed the back of his head. The figure, who was actually a cloaked brute pulled back, and threw Rhiktus down to the floor. The Brute unsheathed a large jagged knife, and was about to slam it down on Rhiktus' neck, before he stopped right before the blade touched him.
Atticus: Dead.
The large brute behind Rhiktus sheathed his knife, and took a step back. 2 other brutes decloaked on each side of Rhiktus, they each pointed a mauler to Rhiktus' face.
Atticus: Dead.
All of the brutes holstered their weapons, and took their place behind Atticus, they all cloaked.
Lastly, what appeared to be a semi opaque purple rock bounced off Rhiktus' muzzle.
A brute holding a red needle rifle dropped down from one of the pillars, and cloaked.
Atticus: Dead.
At this point, the guards were starting to surround Atticus and Rhiktus. The guards all had their weapons trained on Atticus.
Rhiktus raised his hand, motioning his brutes to back off.
Rhiktus: What were you trying to prove...
Atticus: Simple. Before your guards could even react...I killed you. Three times.
Rhiktus: But you didn't kill me...your...lackeys did.
Atticus chuckled
Atticus: Have you heard of the human saying...History is written by the victor...
Rhiktus was silent
Atticus: Well, Chieftain Rhiktus, fact of the matter is, even though your demise came from the hands of my soldiers...they are loyal to me.
I could have killed you...taken the throne for myself, and simply said I bested you in a fair duel.
But was that a fair duel? Would that make me deserving of your throne?
Atticus: No.
Atticus: Then why are you so quick to follow Delta...
So quick, to call Fornicus, a fool...
Would a fool conquer Earth? And usher in a new age of prosperity for the brutes?
Or would a fool help the humans rebuild their army...and retake Earth...and exile all brutes who inhabited it!
Rhiktus stared at Atticus, as he slowly started to chuckle in monotone.
Rhiktus: So this is what it's all about...
You want to avenge your father...
Atticus: No Rhiktus, my motive is much more noble than that...
Atticus pulled on some of the hosing connecting his headdress, to his armor.
He slowly slid off his headdress, and looked at Rhiktus, exposing his heavily scared face, and his glowing blue eyes.
Atticus: I seek to cut the binds that the humans have placed on us....
