Jennifer was about to respond to Cameron when she heard Sergai on the comm again. Jennifer: Sergai...if you have been locked out of any sort of access...you are to proceed onwards and continue your general order - and that is to sweep this facility of hostiles. Jennifer paused. Her blood was boiling from the fact that Sergai ASSUMED he had any right to open his mouth and instruct Jennifer on the aspects of command. Jennifer: Oh...and Sergai...don't tell me how to do my job, by lecturing me on how to prioritize our effective military strength. Frost out! Jennifer frowned as she closed the comm.

[Hells Sniper]

Harrison took a deep breath. He placed his hands behind his back. Harrison: What I am about to talk about is of the highest importance, and beyond Top Secret. Harrison paused. He looked at Burke. Harrison: The Trust are on San Angeles... Harrison turned to Reynolds. Harrison: Do you know who the Trust is, Captain? Meanwhile: Dangerus nodded, he removed his hammer from his back and started to make his way towards the facility. Meanwhile: The Suicide Squad had by now began moving forward into the facility, not looking for central data centers or anything, but more of just sweeping it for enemies. They moved in a diamond formation, with Athios leading the group down the hallway. Meanwhile: The pelican carrying the Risk-Takers was the second one off the Ulterior Motive, and it began it's descent immediately. Liam: I want this done quickly. The UNSC are pushing into one of our installations, which means Nighthawk and Anaconda tipped them off. Liam paused, he was holding on to the roof of the pelican in front of the rest of his Spartans. Liam: We still don't know if Nighthawk or Anaconda are down there, we ahve unconfirmed reports that Nighthawk is alone. Liam paused again. Liam: If he is alone...we take our chance and we bring him down right here. Jessica, I want explosives prepped. Liam looked towards the Spartan-III's. Liam: I want you three on crowd control, keep the UNSC off of us. Lyle: Lethal force, sir? Liam nodded, Savannah was taken back. Liam: Authorized. Kill anyone if they try to interfere. Lyle nodded. Savannah looked at Liam, who turned to her. Liam: As far as we know, the Spartan Cameron-Z091 is still down here. Desmond, I want you on him, if he causes a problem, dispose of him. Desmond nodded. Desmond: Sir. Liam looked at Savannah. Liam: We'll handle Nighthawk. If Anaconda shows up, everyone focuses their attention on him. Except Desmond...I need you to keep Cameron off of us, he was always... Savannah: He's a tightass. Just keep him occupied. Liam smiled under his helmet and cocked his shotgun. He nodded. Liam: Who are we Spartans? They all responded in unision, yelling out two words. "Risk Takers!" Liam grinned. Meanwhile: Jacob was running through the hallways. He was, as he thought, approaching the Sector he needed as fast as he could. Jacob took a deep breath as he held his Socom at his waist as he ran forward. Jacob was wondering why Lisa Pinestar, someone he hasn't seen in at least 5 years, was doing being...interrogated? Interviewed? By the Trust? Why was she important compared to people like Dallas, or his parents, or his wife? What was she being interviewed for...and more importantly, why here? Jacob shook his head. What could Lisa have to do with everything going on?

[Kairu]

Reynolds: "Only what I've heard as rumors." Reynolds never had an issue lying. Now more so than ever. He kept his composure despite his deeper thoughts thinking they were onto his schemes. Reynolds: "Allegedly an anti-alien group of cultists. From what I've heard, they're more myth than reality. But if you say they're here, then I stand corrected." He began thinking about it some more and that they couldn't have known about Reynolds' involvement. Reynolds: "If it's as serious as you say, then what's the plan?" Meanwhile: Calhoun and Robertson stayed behind the corner waiting to ambush the Trust ODSTs. When the four turned the corner, Calhoun and Robertson rifle bashed two of them. They stumbled backwards leaving Robertson to shoot them both with his shotgun. The other two began pulling out their weapons, the first dual SMGs. He was shooting at Robertson, successfully getting multiple shots into one of his arms. Robertson picked up one of the dead ODSTs and began using him as a meat shield. Calhoun however, tackled the dual-wielding ODST. He jumped on the downed ODST and began smashing his VISR in with his assault rifle's stock. With Robertson behind a dead soldier and Calhoun thrashing the Trust ODST's face in, the second ODST, had his advantage. He pulled out his knife and successfully stabbed Calhoun in the back. The ODST that stabbed turned to find Robertson's shotgun in his face. Robertson: "Surprise, Fucker." Robertson then shot the ODST's face, the VISR and helmet shattered and shredded through the skull. He then went to go and help Calhoun. Calhoun had slumped over and his blood was already mixing with the pool of the dead Trust soldiers' on the floor. Robertson rummaged through Calhoun's backpack, finding some medigel and tending to the wound, only after pulling out the knife. When Robertson saw the wound fill, he rolled Calhoun on his back and pulling off his helmet. Calhoun was already going pale and cold. Robertson: "Come on, don't die on me. You've beaten the odds once, do it again!" Robertson clasped the man's hand. Robertson: "Stay with me, come on." Calhoun didn't say anything, instead stared at Robertson. He began choking on his blood. Robertson still wasn't ready to give up on Calhoun, instead performing CPR to help get him to breathe. Robertson: "Come on, Dammit! Not! Like! This!" Robertson continued to perform CPR until Calhoun went still and his choking subsided. Robertson simply sat there. He felt his rage boil over. He felt angry at how their mission had gone sideways ever since they left the Mind's Attrition. He very well could lose most of his team. For now though, he grabbed Calhoun's dogtags and got up. His BDU was covered in blood, most of which was Calhoun's. Robertson applied some of the medigel to his wounds and rummaged some of Calhoun's equipment, taking important things like grenades and what was left of the first aid supplies. He then turned to the head to the Trust's Engineering level, radioing Frost with an update. Robertson: "Captain Frost, this is Sergeant Robertson. Calhoun is down, Ma'am. He's gone."

Meanwhile: ODST Black Team's Pelican had entered atmosphere and was heading towards ONI Installation Desert at break neck speeds. As the Pelican was on approach, Black 1 spoke to the rest of Black Team. Black 1: Alright guys...listen up. We all know that The Risk Takers are here to take care of the biggest guns The UNSC can field. Cameron, Nighthawk, Anaconda...that is the job of The Risk Takers. They are one trick ponies, and they know it. However...WE ARE BLACK TEAM. Before The Risk Takers...there was Black Team. Before Lucien...there was Black Team. Before Kolya...there was Black Team. Before those joker ODSTs with the orange visors entered mass production...there was Black Team. Before Spartans, Nighthawk and Anaconda, and EVERY OTHER cookie cutter team of kids that think they are the best of the best... Black 1 paused. Black 1: There was Black Team. Lets show these assholes why Black Team was first...and why we will be the last. We are the Alphas and the Omegas. Lets show everyone why. Meanwhile: Burke looked at Reynolds, and scoffed. Burke: The Trust is very real Captain. These people are utterly repugnant, and they are the worst our species has to offer. Burke paused. Burke: However...they are about as anti-alien as anyone who serves in the UNSC. I would not say that their hatred for non-humans is their defining quality. If I had to pick one quality which did defne them, it would be their total disloyalty to the UNSC. These people are monsters. I have seen first hand what they are capable of...and none of it was good. However...the last time I really saw The Trust was quite a while ago. They are not a common sight. Meanwhile: Jennifer was still with Tye, Nighthawk, and Cameron. Cameron was moving on point, taking precise shots on Trust ODSTs that he had run into from time to time. Nighthawk was covering the six of the group, as Tye was protecting Jennifer, as she spoke on the comm to Robertson. Jennifer: SOlid copy on that. See if you can grab his tags. However, do not wait around. Get your ass moving. The UNSC does not need to lose both of you today. I want you to fall back, and make your way out of the base. If you bump into another squad of UNSC Marines, link up with them. However, the least you can do is stay alive. Jennifer paused. SHe had to cut the conversation short, when she came under fire. from Trust ODSTs. Jennifer: You have your orders. Frost out. Jennifer closed the comm, as Tye charged forward with Cameron to engage The Trust ODSTs. Nighthawk had tackled Jennifer into cover, taking a stray round in the arm for her. Thankfully, Nighthawk's BUD was able to stop the round. Nighthawk: Jennifer...stay down. Nighthawk peaked out from cover and started to lay down some cover fire for Tye and Cameron. Jennifer: Like I tell everyone who tells me to keep my head down...I will take it under advisement! Jennifer also emerged from cover and began to supply cover fire, to assist Tye and Cameron.

Although the line was closed, Robertson decided to ignore Captain Frost's order. He had a mission and he was going to finish it. The parameters of how had now changed. From this point, Robertson decided his best bet would be to go covert. He checked his corners and back, avoiding patrols, and staying quiet. It felt weird being quiet, but with no one else to converse with, he had no choice. his partner was dead, and more than anything, he now wanted everyone here to pay with their lives. Now more than ever, he wanted the explosion to be seen from orbit. Another patrol had gotten close to Robertson and when they were around the corner, he popped a smoke grenade, obscuring the vision of the ODSTs. Robertson poked around the corner and stabbed the first ODST in the throat. The thud of the body hitting the ground further alerted the patrol. Trust ODST: "Everyone switch to ther-!" The ODST fell from a stab wound in the gut. The three remaining soon switched to thermal. Robertson shot two, dropping them quickly. The final ODST pulled out his battle rifle and shot at Robertson. Robertson rolled behind a corner. He poked his head out to see where the ODST went, who got into a small alcove in the wall. Robertson lobbed a grenade into the alcove flushing the ODST out. While the ODST was dodging the frag grenade, Robertson charged the Trust soldier, thrusting his knife deep into the man's torso, only finishing him off with a shotgun blast in his wound. When the fighting subsided, Robertson reloaded and restocked.

[Hells Sniper]

Harrison nodded. Harrison: Commander Burke speaks the truth. The Trust is...very isolated, and for good reason. They are as monstrous as any human can get, they will do whatever is in their power to gain things they want, for personal gain, not the gain of humanity as whole. Harrison shook his head. Harrison: My last encounter with the Trust was not a pleasurable one. It was very destructive, very harsh, and I would rather not see this happen again. Harrison paused. Harrison: The Trust are here, and they are here in strength. They are dangerous and I would rather not expend valuable resources focusing on BOTH them and the Covenant. But, it seems we are in a tight position. The Trust are actively helping the Covenant, some way. I want to put an end to that. Orders are going out to the fleet, and to the ground, any members of the Trust are no active hostiles, that means shooting on sight and questions later. We cannot fight a war on two fronts, so if we can at least push these bastards back onto their ship, we will have an easier time handling ground ops, Harrison looked at Burke. Harrison: Do you have any suggestions, Commander? Meanwhile: Dangerus led Xyrho towards the facility, as he sniffed the air he could smell another brute was very close. Dangerus grunted. Dangerus: Anaconda is very close...so close, he can probably hear me. Meanwhile: The pelican carrying the Risk-Takers was one of the first to hit the ground on the Southern side of the facility. They could hear the alarm and shooting inside. Liam nodded. Liam: Alright, Spartans, roll out! Diamond formation. Desmond take point. Desmond nodded and was the first to hop off the pelican, the other six Spartans followed, setting up in their typical diamond formation. They moved towards the gate and moments later, it opened up. A few ODSTs were on the other side and when they noticed the Spartans they stepped a few feet back. ODST: The Big Guys are here! The Spartans moved inside and stopped a few feet from the hallway. Liam looked to one of the ODSTs. Liam: Where are they? The ODST pointed down the main hallway. ODST: Northern entrance, Charlie sector. Liam nodded and waved his hand in the air, moments later, the Risk-Takers were in a full sprint down the hallway. Concurrently: Jacob was deep inside the facility, he had followed the HUD and could still hear gun fire, but he had no idea where he was. Jacob stopped in the hallway as he heard footsteps running towards him. Jacob sighed and ran into the closest room, another computer station. Jacob looked around and then hid in front of the window looking into the hallway. Jacob crouched down as he heard the footsteps get louder, slowly he peered over the window to see seven Spartans running down the hallway. Jacob took a deep breath and pulled the stock back on his assault rifle. Jacob: Fuck... Suddenly, the Spartans all stopped and Jacob's eyes widened, he fell to the ground as he heard the Spartans start talking. Liam: What is it Des? Desmond: Comms are blowing up, sir. Savannah: Sir, Captain Sharpmen is here. Jacob took a deep breath, he tried to slow his beating, but now he was on their radar, too!? Lyle: Where? Savannah: The Base AI sent him to Sector 231-Alpha-Lima. It's this facility's archives. Lyle nodded, he looked around and stepped towards the window. Jacob looked up and could see Lyle's silver armor glistening in the artificial light, it looked pristine. Jacob was kind of amazed. Moments later, Lyle turned around. Lyle: We keep moving, Nighthawk is our main objective. I understand the Trust's fascination with this man, but he is unimportant to me. Move it. Jacob could hear the team start moving again, he shut his eyes and took a deep breath as he stood up and looked out the window. He took a deep breath. He began to remember that the Spartan team showed up around the same time Black Team did. He remembered that these Spartans were something else, they had a purpose. Jacob sighed, he had to get to the archives and get the data. Jacob: Goddamn...if these Spartans are here than that means. Jacob immediately switched his radio on and contacted Captain Frost. Jacob: Captain Frost, this is Captain Sharpmen! Spartan team sighted, which means Black team is close by. I say again, Spartan Team and Black Team are close by! Jacob paused. His sense of duty overcame his own personal mission. Jacob: Orders, ma'am?

Burke looked at Harrison for a moment. He thought about what Harrison said. Burke: Truthfully and honestly...the best advice I can give you is to not tell everyone about The Trust. These people work in secret...and they hate it when they are discovered. They can go to extensive measures to silence people. Smaller numbers are silenced by bullets. Large numbers are silenced by destroying entire ships. If you inform the entire fleet about The Trust...you are risking a very ruthless retaliation. You are better off giving orders which require that you be informed of anything and everything. This way...you can actually minimize any potential fallout. The Trust will only strike when they have reason to strike. Do not needlessly antagonize them. Burke paused. Burke: This is what Admial Vernette does...and he has been butting heads with The Trust since before the war started. Meanwhile: Jennifer had heard the message from Jacob. As she listened, she looked at Nighthawk. She thought for a moment. Jennifer: Jacob...what is your current position? Which dirdction are those hostiles moving in?

[Kairu]

Reynolds: "But my question is, how exactly do we identify members?" Meanwhile: Robertson reached the entrance to the facility's engineering level. Robertson pressed his back to the wall with the door, facing the hallway. He ensured he was clear before pressing the keypad to open the door, but nothing happened. Robertson: "What the hell?" Robertson pressed the button again and the keypad refused to light up and acknowledge the input. Robertson looked around. He was at the only foreseeable entrance on his level. He then looked up and saw a ventilation hatch. He secured the hallway once more, seeing a patrol coming. There was no time to lose. Robertson popped the hatch, sliding it to the side and climbed in. When he got himself in, he carefully and quietly slid the hatch back to it's original spot. Robertson then watched from the vents as the patrol came to the keypad. The Trust soldier pressed the key to open the door, but was also rejected. He tried two more times and then radioed in to someone. Robertson could tell because the soldier brought his hand to his helmet, tilting sideways. Trust ODST: "This is Omega Group, the door to the Engineering level is locked." There was a pause as the ODST group fanned out as the team leader waited for a response. Trust ODST: "What do you mean a Spartan locked out parts of the facility? I would have expected us to have better systems." There was another pause. Trust ODST: "Well override the lockout and do your damn job!" The door slid open when the squad received a broadcast. Trust ODST: "They spotted the Spartan down in the maintenance corridors under the facility. Let's go kill the asshole." The squad ran in the opposite direction hoping to catch up to Sergei and his lackeys. Robertson waited until they were presumably out of range and climbed out of the vents. He went to the unlocked door and entered.

[Hells Sniper]

Harrison shook his head. Harrison: That's one of the problems Captain, we don't know who is with the Trust. The only man I know of is Vice Admiral Yates, who is now deemed an enemy of the UNSC. Harrison paused. Harrison: I will take your advice, Commander Burke. I want a standing order on all UNSC forces, constant updates on anything and everything deemed unusual, including human activity. Harrison leaned on his table. Harrison: In order for this to happen, I need you two on my side, I need you both with me on this one. If we want to win this battle, if we want to win this war and save the planet, we have to stick together here. Meanwhile: Jacob looked out the window. Jacob: Ma'am, they're heading straight down the main hallway, directly to your position. They'll be there in less than three minutes. Do you want me to intervene, ma'am? I can fall back and regroup with you, or keep moving inside and get to the archives.

[Kairu]

Reynolds nodded forward slightly. Reynolds: "You have my full support, Admiral. My ship will be on alert as soon as I return. In the meantime, what is the status of ground operations? Some of Fireteam Harmony has returned, all the wounded, anyways, but I haven't been able to debrief them."
