Sergei:We were trying to escort civies when my comms went the civies went with some marines. You heard him lets move.How much resistence should I expect at spaceport we got rockets. Sergei and Havoc begin to double time it to the spaceport in a full sprint. Sergei: Our ETA is at 7 minutes...... Open fire we got jackals. Sergei aims at the Jackals and double taps them with a bullet in the head and chwst were the shield wasnt covering. Ace: More on the way. Sergei: At this point sir its impossible to get to spaceport any known safe routes.

[Naked Crook]

Meanwhile: Black Team had waited a few moments for the fighting to cool down. When they could no longer hear the gun fire, and the only thing they could hear was the sound of the ODST's checking in on one another, BLack Team knew that they could now make their move, and catch this team of ODSTs off guard. Black 1 gave a look to his entire team, and simply nodded. Black 1 raised his hand, and gave a gesture for Black Team to move forward. The other members of Black Team nodded, and did as ordered, with Black 2 taking point. Black Team moved in on Inferno Squads flank, their boots not even making any noise as they moved in. As soon as Black Team had Inferno Squad in their iron-sights, Black Team opened fire, without a single word or a single hesitation. Much like they had done to Whiskey Squad, Inferno Squad was cut down, having never seen the faces of their killers. Black 2 approached the leader of Inferno squad, and knelt down next to him. Black 2 grabbed the team leader's PDA, and began to read the orders. Black 2: Inferno Squad. These guys were going to strap explosives on the main Shield battery. Black 1: Which explosives? Black 4 spoke up from behind Black 1 and Black 2. Black 4: These ones! Black 1 turned and looked at Black 4. Black 1: Time to repurposes those explosives men. Black 4...switch them to proximity detonation. Arm them. LEave them here. I guarentee you, a bunch of hungry Brutes are going to smell this blood, and coming looking for a snack. Let's make sure that their final meal is exploding with flavor. Black 1 order Black 2 and Black 3 to move out, while Black 4 armed the explosives to proximity detonation. This process only took Black 4 a few moments. Once he was done, he set the explosives to a 30 second delayed activation, and rejoined the rest of Black Team which had moved on. Black 1: Where to next? Black 2: Strike Team Granite is the next closest team. They are heading for the main weapon control system. Once again, we are dealing with more explosives. We should hurry. They may be the closest, but they are still far off, and I have no idea how much we will be delayed with firefights. Black 1 nodded, as he took point, and broke out into a full sprint. Meanwhile: Nighthawk was with Jacob in the vantage point. He looked through his scope at the incoming Wraith. He saw they were closing fast. Nighthawk: HAWK...are you seeing this? HAWK: I am... Nighthawk paused, as he adjusted his sights. Nighthawk: HAWK...I need you to release the weapon lockout on the M500. I have armor in my sights, and I need to fire. HAWK: Stand by... Nighthawk waited a moment. It did not take long for a small light on the side of the rifle to go from red to green. HAWK: I still recommend a full diagnostic on the fire mechanism before shooting. This weapon has not been test fired yet...and simulations can only tell us so much. Nighthawk: Override...skip the diagnostic. Calculate trajectory, speed, and distance, and get me a lock on the closest Wraith. HAWK: Calculating...target locked... NIghthawk began to squeeze the trigger, but he stopped when HAWK interrupted. HAWK: If the recoil dampners are malfunctioning...you could break your arm... Nighthawk sighed. Nighthawk: Noted... Nighthawk then squeeze the handle and the grip of the M500, and pulled the trigger down. A loud blast was heard, which echoed through the streets, bouncing off the walls of the buildings, as a large payload was fired from the rifle, impacting the first Wraith right in its cockpit, cutting right through the entire chassis, and causing the Wraith to explode into a ball of blue plasma. Nighthawk grinned behind his helmet, as the Mass Driver audibly loaded the next shell into the chamber. Nighthawk: Wraith number 1 is down... Meanwhile: Tye was defending one of the side streets. He was under fire from a few smaller squads of Grunts and Jackals. He and the Marines he was with managed to make very short work, as they were moving in such a way to be more like cannon fodder than actual threats. However, Tye had to stop for a moment when he heard the echo from Nighthawk's Mass Driver go off. Tye ducked back behind cover, and started to reload. Tyber: What the hell was that?

[Kairu]

Reynolds: "I'm down to one team, Fireteam Harmony. They report the rest have been KIA. They report being close to breaking into the ship's bridge and attempt to overtake the command crew. Yours?"

Sergei and Havoc continued to push towards the spaceport when they got stopped. Sergei firing the last of his ammo he gives the order tobpickup their weapons. Sergei picked up a Covenant Plasma rifle while ace picked up a carbine. Sergei: I pray that we survive to escort them to hell. Lets keep moving. I dont want to keep the Marines up. Sergei contacts the spaceport. Sergei: This is Sergei we are two kliks from spaceport in an alley. Ace: To late we got company!! Duece fires his pistol at the Skirmishers head killing it. Ace: Thete is too many of them. Angel(Mistype previous post was wraith): Im out of ammo..... Aaah Angels body slumps to the ground after being shot in head from a covenant sniper. Ace: Angel!!! dont you die on me. Fuck Duece fuck them up!!! Duece begins to tear up under his visor sadness overcoming then feelings of rage and uncontrollable hatred he begins to unload and lets out a guttoral scream as he takes out his knife and slits the throat of a Jackal who just shot him in his left arm. Sergei: We are in a killbox we need to get out of here. Sergei and the rest of Havoc got out of the alley after Ace collected angels tags and retrieved any weapons they could use. Sergei: There are two many of them but we have spotted three wraiths are inbound to the spaceport Duece take one down. Duece with his last rocket aims and fires at the Wraith watching it explode Duece smiled as the fire caught an elite and engulfed it with flames.

[Hells Sniper]

Harrison shook his head. Harrison: I have a few teams down already...but the others seem to be boding well. Our good friends, Black Team made an appearance and killed one of my squads before they even dropped. Harrison paused. Harrison: Let's hope your men take the bridge, they are the only hope at taking that ship. Prepare for a wide engagement, Captain. Harrison out. Meanwhile: Jacob and Suicide Squad dropped into cover, the echo of the mass driver still ringing in their ears. Jacob: Holy fuck! Jacob yelled out as he reloaded his weapon. He heard Tye yell over the comm. Jacob: Motherfucking Nighthawk over here has a modern cannon on his side...he made quick work of one of these wraiths. Jacob rolled his eyes. Nighthawk always had tricks up his sleeves, he always had something. It was then he noticed the extra firepower coming from the warthog on the ground. Jacob smiled. Jacob: Let's push these bastards back into hell boys! Down the road... Furium and the group of bodyguards he was with were making their way up the road when they heard the round from the mass driver ring out between the buildings. Several dozen brutes howled in the distance and Furium simply fastened his pace. About halfway towards the perimeter, he removed his gravity hammer. Furium: Alright whelps. Let's prove to our Chieftain what kind of brutes he really has! Meanwhile on board a phantom: Dangerus was sitting in his passenger bay with a pack of brute shock troopers. Brute: Several filth teams have already made their way into the ship. The bridge, weapons system, shield generator, life support, and several other areas are under main fire. Brutes are doing what they can. Dangerus grunted. Dangerus: Well...let's go save my ship then.

Sergei and the remants of Havoc continued pushing their way leaving a tailbof bodies when they saw an elite. Seegei raised his rifle and began to open fire the sound of the bolts of plasma hitting the Elite when he let out a growl.of pain. Ace with his carbine was makeling quick.work of the other elites shooting them in the head trying to make thevjob easier. Duece begins to do the same on a pack.of grunts after picking up a needle rifle . They began to move forward if not inching forward through a wall of Covenant. When Sergei realized this tactic was gonna get them anywhere he takes a frag grenade and pulls thevpin of the grenade tossing it in the location he needed it to blow up. Sergei: We need more grenades or we wont survive long. Duece you got any frags? Duece: Two. Sergei: I need you to throw them one at a time. Duece pulls the pin of the first one and throws it 15 meters in front of him killing two elites and threw the next one a little further. Sergei: Sergei to base command we are getting close to the base we are 1.5 clicks away. Try not to shoot us please. Ace on your thrre o clock. In the background you could hear the plazma rifles open fire and hear the sound of covenant bodies hitting the ground. Sergei: No retreat no surrender !! The three men kept trying to move forward goingbup one street but saw it wasnt a safe road. By going through a series of allies and roads they got closer and closer to the spaceport till finallyvthey could see it. Serfei: We are moving in fast and we are hot with covenant on our tails. Ace: Keep moving.

[Naked Crook]

Nighthawk had to laugh. He found Jacob's reaction to be quite funny. Nighthawk: I had a feeling you would like something like this Jacob. I am aware that you are a Sniper Rifle aficionado. Nighthawk shifted the Mass Driver around, getting a lock on the next Wraith. He waited a moment as the rifle locked on, and the target solution was locked. Nighthawk: Jacob...tell your boys down there to cover their ears. I am locked on the next Wraith. Nighthawk's finger hovered over the trigger, as he gripped the rifle. Meanwhile: Tye had reloaded his weapons. He could hear Jacob's excitement over the comm. He knew that things must of been going good at the front lines for Jacob to take the tone he did. Despite this, Tye and the Marines he was with were still faced with a constant influx of opposition. Tye began to notice that there were few and fewer of the smaller infantry, and more and more Elites coming at him. Tyber: Marines...weapons forward. Focus fire on the squids! Take em down! Tye, and the other Marines began to coordinate their fire on the Elites. The combined fire from Tye and the Marines allowed them to cut through the energy shields rather quickly, and down their opponents. However, Tye knew that the increased ammo expenditure would soon be the factor which would force them to fall back. Tyber: Watch yourself Marines...incoming plasma fire! Take cover! Tye and the other Marines took cover as they came under heavy fire from Elite Minors and Majors who were wielding larger Plasma Rifles and Plasma Repeaters. Tyber: We need suppressing fire...flank them, flank them! Tye gave hand signals to several marines, ordering them to try and move around behind the UNSC defensive line, to try and create a cross fire.

[Hells Sniper]

Jacob laughed as he fired off a few rounds from his sniper rifle, killing two brutes running down the main highway. The Suicide Squad was doing the same, picking off the closest Covenant soldiers to the front line. The combined fire from them, Nighthawk and his cannon, along with the twenty-something other ODSTs and marines on the ground, they were holding the front line pretty well. Jacob: If I could get my hands on that...oh the people I would kill! Jacob slid his back into cover and reloaded, in the process he examined the weapon Nighthawk had in his hands. It was massive, and he knew it was a very elegant weapon in design. Concurrently: Furium and the other brutes ran straight at the front line, he was hoping to get over the perimeter wall the humans had set up and wreck havoc from behind. It was only a matter of seconds before they had their chance. The warthog Carmicle, Troy, and Limos was in made another pass near the front line. They drove right behind the perimeter as Troy unloaded the chaingun on nearby brutes, jackals, and grunts. Just as they passed the building Jacob and others had taken refugee in, something hit them. A brute War Chieftain had jumped over the perimeter wall and slammed his hammer down in front of the warthog. The hog flipped over, causing Troy and Limos to both bail from their seats. Carmicle however, had laid trapped inside the warthog's driver seat as it flipped and landed on the windshield. The brute was standing there, a white eye glowing from the sunlight. Both Troy and Limos got to their feet and aimed their weapons at the Cheiftain. Seconds later, at least a dozen brutes decloaked behind the perimeter wall and began unloaded their rage on the ODSTs and marines hidden behind it. The radio came to life with the sounds of muffles, screams, and one marine yelling. Marine: We're breached! Brutes have breached the main wall! We ca---argh! The brutes had taken down a good five or six marines before they had realized what had happened and were able to return fire. Troy and Limos simply looked to see if Carmicle was good, and to their surprise, he was crawling out of the flipped hog. It was then, that they decided to unload their weapons on the Chieftain standing a few feet in front of them. Troy: Backup would be appreciated at the main highway! Above the action... Jacob had listened to his radio the whole time, he could hear the gravity hammer hit the ground, he could hear the screams of the marines. And when he heard the perimeter had breached he immediately looked over the edge without any regards to his safety. He saw a good dozen brutes fighting in the open against the surviving ODSTs and marines. He saw the War Chieftain barreling his hammer and Troy and Limos. Seconds later, all he saw was the sky. Athios had grabbed his back and pulled him down just as a beam rifle shot raced by his head. Jacob: Fuck! Thanks for the save... Athios shrugged. Athios: I owed you one. Jacob chuckled as he lifted himself off the ground and back into cover. He looked to Athios. Jacob: Who can best handle a sniper? Athios chuckled. Athios: That'd be my boy, Dirty Joe. Athios pointed to the ODST standing next to him, who was shooting off his DMR at anything that moved. McKinley: Yessir, I can handle that. Jacob nodded and tossed Joe the sniper rifle he was holding. He tossed him three extra mags. Jacob: Take out the snipers, cover Nighthawk's ass. Jacob turned around to the Cross siblings, Nighthawk, and Athios. Jacob: Cross twins...you're with me on the ground. See if we can't help our boys down there. Athios, anything comes up here that ain't human... Athios nodded. Athios: Their heads will be on the wall, sir. Jacob smiled. As he was about to turn Athios began. Athios: Sir... Athios tossed him the shotgun he was holding and picked up the DMR Joe had just dropped. Athios: Send them to hell for me. Jacob smiled and cocked the shotgun. Jacob: Nighthawk... Jacob paused as Nighthawk didn't even move. Jacob: Yeah...you know what to do. Let's move Cross! With that Jacob and the Cross siblings ran down the stairs to reinforce the marines being pounded.

[Kairu]

Reynolds kept his terminal on idle again before returning to the bridge. Reynolds: "The Admiral says prepare for 'wide engagement'. We'll show the Covenant what it means to be Human! Recycle weapons. Ensure they are all ready to fire. Status on damage control teams?" Anderson punched a couple buttons and brought up a holographic diagram of the Mind's Attrition. Two areas were highlighted Anderson: "Two teams are reporting they've almost finished. We should be set within the next two minutes." Reynolds: "Very good. Tell them to keep at it." Anderson: "Yes, Sir." Meanwhile on the Clarity of Absolution The doors to the bridge slid open and the command crew looked to see why they were being interrupted. The Alpha Brute quickly looked to see two grenades flying in. In moments both had detonated, one causing smoke to fill the large chamber, while the other blinded everyone in there. Moments later, Fireteam Harmony filled in to their positions and began firing on the Brutes. Axlon and Robertson were firing on the few Brutes closest to them, coordinating fire to make fairly quick work. Arman and Cadieux managed to down one of their Brutes when the Alpha Brute recovered from the stunning. Alpha Brute: "Humans..." The Brute began sniffing the air. Instead of sight, he was going to hunt his prey like animals. Alpha Brute: "That is a clever tactic, but did you account for the fact that we can hunt without vision? I merely need to catch a small scent of you." The Brute was trying to taunt out Harmony, but was only met with Sierra's sniper fire. The other command crew managed to shake off the stun and began firing at the general entrance to the bridge. The team was now pinned down. The Alpha Brute used his smell and locked onto Cadieux's scent. Being new, she was also the most fearful out of everyone. She felt death once already, and now she was standing no more than a few dozen meters from it again. The Brute barked an order in Jiralhanae. The Alpha Brute pulled the gravity hammer off of his back. He then caught one more whiff of Cadieux's scent and began charging. Robertson poked his head up in time to see the Brute charging at Cadieux and Arman. Robertson: "Boss Lady! You two get out of there! He's charging!" As the Brute jumped up the two rolled out of the way, only to catch a little air from the blow. The two were sent fly in their respective directions, Cadieux to the right and Arman to the left. The Brute turned to face Robertson who was now standing up and shooting the Alpha with his shotgun. Robertson: "You alien SOB! Die!" The Alpha swung a fist at Robertson, following up with a hammer swing at Sierra. Sierra managed to nail another headshot, which proved futile since the Brute's shields had recharged. The Brute swung his hammer, throwing Sierra back into the wall. Cadieux was starting to recover from the thrashing and began firing on the nearby Jackals and Grunts. They were caught off-guard, assuming she was dead. Robertson got close to another Brute, blasting his face with buckshot, completely scaring the Grunts. Several of the Grunts held up activated plasma grenades and began chasing Robertson. Robertson gained an extra bit of distance before Axlon nailed one of them in the face, causing the grenades to drop. Moments later, the dropped grenades exploded, causing the suicide Grunts to explode with them. Axlon: "I thought you liked explosions?" Robertson: "I like seeing them, not being IN them." Axlon: "Uh-huh.." The conversation was cut short with Sierra's screaming from the Alpha Brute's attack with the bladed side of the gravity hammer. The two remaining Brutes inside the bridge screamed in blood rage, switching from their ranged weapons to gravity hammers. The Brutes screamed again, one being immediately shot by Robertson and his shotgun. The other looked at the downed Brute and began charging at the rest of Harmony. From off to the side, Arman tackled the Brute before he got too close and forced him to the ground. When he was downed, Arman drew her knife and stabbed the Brute repeated in the throat. Arman: "Go save Sierra! Now!" The rest of Harmony did as they were told, and they surrounded the Alpha Brute, all of them opening fire on the Alpha Brute, who was finishing his kill. Unexpected, someone jumped on the back of the Alpha Brute. The Brute struggled and managed to throw the mystery person off, but not in time for the rest of Harmony to jump him. The mystery person got up and shanked the Brute in the throat also, precisely as Arman did a minute prior. With all of the Brutes down, the 'clean up' became trivial. A few Jackals and Grunts were all that was left. With the bridge secured, Fireteam Harmony and the mystery person gathered around the dying Sierra. There was no real exchange of dialogue other than Sierra's coughing up blood. Arman stood up first. She was taking it the hardest, but they still had a mission. Arman: "Come on, we have a ship to fly." The mystery person took off his helmet. Calhoun: "Nice to see this mission pay off, despite the price." Arman: "Yeah. Axlon, use your PDA and get in touch with Admiral Harrison. Cadieux and Robertson, drag Sierra in here and seal the door." Axlon: "Already on it. Patching you through." Arman: "Admiral Harrison, this is Fireteam Harmony from the Mind's Attrition. We have successfully took over the bridge. What would you like us to do with it?"

[Hells Sniper]

Harrison watched as the five ships moved into position near the back end of the Covenant fleet. Behind him, the three super cruisers were too busy dealing with on board attacks to even notice the fleets positioning. Murphy: Admiral. We've lost four more ships, they're regaining strength and it is taking us much longer to take down their shields. Harrison nodded. Harrison: Fire the MAC cannon, coordinate fire with the rest of the battle rgoup. Bring down the two closest cruisers, that should give us enough room to regroup with the rest of the fleet. Murphy nodded as the bridge crew began to coordinate with the rest of the battle group. Archer missiles were armed, and everyone's MAC cannon was charged. Harrison: Fire. The five ships simultaneously fired their MAC cannons at the two closest Covenant cruisers. The combined fire from almost three MAC shots to each ship was enough to drain their shield and cause external damage to the hulls of the ship, leaving the Covenant cruisers defenseless. Moments later, each ship fired off a barrage of archer missiles, the missiles impacted the hull of each cruiser and began to slowly tear the ship apart. Harrison: Rotate archer missiles pods...cycle firing with the other ships. Bring all point defense cannons online to protect the Mind's Attrition and King Raven. Murphy: Aye, aye, Admiral! Harrison pressed a button on his holotable. Harrison: All ships, full speed. Moments later, each ship in the battlegroup began to move through the Covenant armada in front of them. VI: Admiral, three ships on our tail...they have a weapons lock. Harrison looked at the holotable to see three Covenant corvettes moving in on the backside of the battle group. Seconds later, he saw the Saint's Society break off from formation and move to cover the back of Harrison's own ship. The distance between them grew as the Corvette's slowly stopped and locked weapons on the Saint's Society. The Saint's Society moved into weapons range and began to fire it's archer missiles. Harrison leaned forward as he watched the Covenant corvettes fire their plasma torpedoes, moments before they hit a transmission was received from the Saint's Society. The Saint's Society was no smack in the middle of the three Corvettes. Captain: This is Captain Peter Nash of the Saint's Society. Good luck out there boys. We'll see on the other side. Harrison smiled, he knew Peter from a few years ago. He was an excellent sailor, a great tactician and a loving father an husband. He knew his letter would be one of the hardest to write. Harrison watched the holotable and then heard one of his officers yell. Officer: Admiral, Captain Nash ordered all Shiva weapons on board the Saint's Society to be armed before they moved in. Harrison grinned. Nash was always a son of a bitch. As soon as the plasma torpedos hit the hull of the Saint's Society, a large explosive was activated in the middle of it, destroying the ship and sending out the nine other shiva nuclear weapons in the middle of the Corvette's line. One by one the nukes began to go off, engulfing the Corvettes. Harrison: Push the throttle! VI: Sir, incoming transmission from Fireteam Harmony. Harrison nodded. Arman: "Admiral Harrison, this is Fireteam Harmony from the Mind's Attrition. We have successfully took over the bridge. What would you like us to do with it?" Harrison smiled, one team managed to take the bridge. Harrison: Fireteam Harmony...I need you to recall a good percentage of that fleet and have them move to your position. Ask for reinforcements and they will surely come knocking. Harrison paused. Harrison You should be able to activate a self-destruct sequence on board the bridge...do it as soon as other ships are in range and then jump ship. Understood?
