Black 1 was silent. Spender, on the other hand, was the one who responded. Spender: I will be blunt... Spender paused. Spender: I do not entirely believe you. This seems to sudden. This is far to radical of a change for someone to be this comfortable with. I do not trust your intentions. However, in the off chance that you are genuine in your change of heart...I am prepared to test your convictions. If you are lying...I will know soon enough. Spender paused. Spender: Know this...if this is some sort of elaborate deception on your part...I can guarantee that you will not have the last laugh. The burden of proof is on your...Jacob. Sender held out his hand. Spender: The first thing you can do to prove your loyalty...is give me that chip.

[Hells Sniper]

Jacob smiled. He knew he could play this out very well, considering the entire UNSC was now deeming him an enemy over their radio. Jacob took the chip in his hand and kindly placed it in Spender's palm. Jacob: Genuine, as always. Jacob retracted his hand and looked at Spender. Jacob: You can even check the comms of the UNSC, which I know you are tracking. They hate me probably as much as Black 1 does. Jacob chuckled. Jacob: Then again, maybe not that much.

Spender took the chip from Jacob, and placed it in his pocket. Spender: Black 1 is simply doing his job. He is doing exactly what he was trained to do. Spender paused. He then looked at Liam. Spender: Liam...you and your Spartans are to report to Novak right away. Have you injuries assesed and treated. When you are done there, report to Kolya and give him your field report. Spender then looked at Black 1. Spender: Black 1...you and Black Team will take Jacob to be debriefed by Yates. If Jacob has any tactical information that will assist us in nullifying UNSC Forces on the planet, Yates should be the one to knowe about it first. Black 1 nodded. Spender: If you need anything else...talk to Kolya. Black 1: Sir, what about you? Spender: I have a meeting with our friend. He seems intent on discussing what he knows about The Covenant. It will be illuminating, I am sure. Black 1: Where is Kolya, exactly? Spender: On the bridge. He has the deck at the moment. Black 1: Very good. Spender: You are all dismissed. With that, Spender turned and walked away, leaving the hanger bay. Black 1 then looked to Liam. Black 1: Just in case Nighthawk rattled your brain more than he should have...the Med Bay is on Deck 5.

Liam and the Spartans all nodded at Spender and began to head to Novak. Liam looked at Black 1. Liam: A pleasure, as always, Black 1. Liam looked back at Jacob and nodded, there was no need for words as the Risk-Takers headed to Novak. Jacob nodded and back at Liam and looked at Black 1. The two simply exchanged glances for a moment before Jacob finally broke the silence. Jacob: Lead the way, Colonel. Meanwhile: Harrison had been monitoring the progress of all teams since the beginning of the assault on the facility. Mostly he was tracking Frosts, Camerons, and Tye's progress since it began. He had lost Jacob since the facility invasion began and had been wondering of his location ever since. That's when he finally heard the news from some of the minor squads entering the facility. Jacob had now turned on them. Harrison couldn't fathom that. He could not understand how a soldier such as Jacob would turn coat on them so easily. Everything that Jacob had done, it just, it didn't add up to Harrison. He knew his forces were wrapping up, so he simply pondered the idea of Jacob turning.

Black 1 turned around, and began to walk out of the hanger bay, with Jacob in tow, and the rest of Black Team following behind Jacob. Black 1: Let me make this easy for you Jacob. You are being brought to Yates to provide tactical information on the UNSC. We need to know exactly how much Harrison knows about what we are doing here, and we need to know what you know about what anyone else may know. If we can remove uncertainty from our ongoing operations, we can make this a quick and decisive victory. Black 1 paused. Black 1: If you can give us what we need, you might become useful enough to warrent letting you in on our operations. Black 1 led Jacob onto an Elevator. Black Team then followed Jacob onto the Elevator. Black 1: Deck 1 - axillary corridor. The elevator doors closed, as it started to move on command. Black 1: Just remember...we ask the questions...and you provide the answers. That is the only way it will work until we deem otherwise. Meanwhile: Tye fell silent, as he watched the wounded UNSC soldiers get rounded up by the few medics that were on hand. It was then that Tye received a message from Jennifer. Jennifer: Tye...do you copy? Tye answered the message. Tyber: Go ahead Jennifer. I read you. Jennifer: I found something...something big. YOu might want to get down here and see this. Tyber: Where is "here"? Jennifer: Hmmm...Section 12 - Main Control Centerr. North end of the facility. Tyber: Copy that. Jennifer: Is Nighthawk with you? If he is...drag him along. He is going to want to see this. We may need his expertise on this. Tyber: Acknowledged. He is with me right now. I will let him know. Vernette out. Tye closed the comm line, and then turned back to Nighthawk. Tyber: Jennifer found something. She says you might be interested in seeing it, and that your expertise is required. Nighthawk nodded. Nighthawk: Sure...why not. I'll tag along. Anaconda groaned. Nighthawk then turned to Anaconda. Nighthawk: Oh, common. Be a sport. Anaconda sighed. Anaconda: Fine... Nighthawk turned back to Tye. Nighthawk: Lead the way!

Jacob nodded, he figured this would how most of it would go down. Jacob: Understood. I'll provide whatever information I can give.

Black was silent while the elevator moved. After a few moments, the elevator stopped, and the doors opened. Black 1 then led Jacob down the hallway, without saying a single word during the walk. Black 1 simply walked down the corridor, and eventually stopped outside a door that had the name YATES written on a metal plate that was bolted to the wall. Black 1 turned and looked at Jacob. Black 1: After you. Black 1 gestured to Jacob, as if to tell him to enter Yates office. Meanwhile: Tye and Nighthawk walked through the base, with Anaconda following in tow behind the two. The trio walked mostly in silence, without anything being said. As they approahced Jennifer's location, the trio stopped as they saw Robertson standing point in front of the main door that they would have to go through.. Tye approached Robertson. Tyber: I am going to hazard a guess that you are standing in front of the door to ensure that nobody walks in? Mind if I get by?

[Kairu]

Robertson: "If you don't mind, let me ensure Captain Frost will allow it, Sir. Strict orders not stop anyone I haven't been told to pass." Robertson took a moment and radioed Frost. Robertson: "Captain Frost, Commander Vernette and Nighthawk are here wanting to enter. Do they have permission, Ma'am?"

[Naked Crook]

Jennifer responded to Robertson in a very prompt fashion. Jennifer: It is alright. I specially asked for them to come. Let them through.

Robertson looked at Tye and Nighthawk. Robertson: "Sorry to keep you guys waiting. Captain Frost says you're good." Robertson then stepped to the side and allowed both men to pass.
