Harrison clenched his fists as Nighthawk spoke, he didn't turn around, he didn't move, he simply stood where he was and waited. He waited until he heard Nighthawk and Anaconda enter the elevator. He waited until he heard the elevator doors close. He waited until he heard the elevator move.
And he still waited.
A few minutes passed before anyone spoke, and that is when he slammed his officer's hat on the holotable.
Harrison: And that is why he is a risk! That is why we do not work with him!
Harrison began to look at the crew surrounding him, glancing at Reynolds, Burke, Cameron, Frost, and lastly Tye.
Harrison: You five are going to listen to me and you are going to listen very carefully. Because I am not going to repeat myself one more time. Because I am not going to allow that monster- Harrison pointed to the elevator doors. -to decide our next fucking move!
Harrison sighed as he grabbed his hat and placed it back on his head, recomposing himself.
Harrison: My priority, our priority is still the evacuation of every single civilian on that planet. Until that is done, we have not done a single thing worth to celebrate. And until we can find out where the Trust is, that is our main goal.
Harrison stared at Captain Frost. Harrison spoke sternly, but had a very commanding tone. He was finished being the Admiral, and not leading the Operations. He was giving the orders, end of story.
Harrison: Speaking of the Trust, I do not care what you have to say to that monster, but you will get me what is on that PDA. You will get me that information, even if you have to say I crawled on the floor begging forgiveness. You will get it, end of story, and you want to know why? Because from this moment onward you are relieved of your command from the King Raven and you will report to me, on the Vigorous Inferno. You will not leave my side until I get that data. Once I do, then we can talk about getting your command back.
Harrison smirked and looked at Burke.
Harrison: Now! Since the King Raven is in need of a new CO, Commander Burke, you will be taking over those duties. Congratulations.
Harrison was about to turn before he glanced at Burke once more.
Harrison: And before you mention you're a doctor, not a commander, I've seen your dossier, you're more than qualified.
Harrison looked at Tye.
Harrison: Commander Vernette, you will be in charge of making sure this ship doesn't move an inch. You will make sure that Nighthawk and Anaconda stay off of this ship and you will make sure that the marines on board here now what they are doing. You will also file a full report, for my eyes only, talking about your involvement in The Trust.
Harrison looked at Reynolds.
Harrison: Captain, I want your people in charge of rescue operations. Until we figure out where we need to hit the Trust next, we continue to evacuate civilians because contrary to what everyone else may believe about the Covenant, they are still a threat and San Angeles is still a warzone.
Harrison turned to Cameron.
Harrison: Cameron, you are going to take Strike Team Diamond, head to the King Raven, and transfer Jacob Sharpmen to the Vigorous Inferno immediately.
Harrison raised his finger and spoke very carefully.
Harrison: And if a single one of you mention that I am breaking an ONI regulation or rule, or that I am not allowed to do this, or even that I am doing more than what my power calls for, then I want you to understand something very simple.
Harrison leaned on the holotable and stared at them all.
Harrison: The moment we start taking orders from a terrorist and his pet ape is the moment we have lost. And if that's not enough for you, look up UNSC Regulation Striking Home, section six, paragraph four. It'll explain that in dire situations, the highest-ranking official of either ONI or UNSC rank, has full command.
Harrison leaned back and straightened himself.
Harrison: Well this is a dire situation, and I'm the commanding officer. Do I make myself clear?
The bridge was silent. Harrison raised his voice.
Harrison: I said, Do I make myself clear?
