[Hells Sniper]

Harrison joined one of the engineering and security teams as they loaded onto the pelican. Harrison took to the cockpit and took the copilot seat, taking the bird out with the pilot. Harrison: This is Vice-Admiral Fredward Harrison, leaving the Vigorous Inferno. Commander Murphy, you have the ship. Murphy: Roger that sir, I'll keep the seat warm. Harrison and the pilot of the pelican exited the hangar bay and headed towards the Ulterior Motive. It was a short flight before the pelican docked in hangar bay four on deck three. Harrison exited the pelican as the teams went their ways and Harrison joined Strike Team Diamond. Harrison: How's my team? All of them came to attention as Ice turned to Harrison. Ice: Ready to roll on your mark, sir. Harrison nodded and saluted back. Harrison: Good, you're with me.

[Naked Crook]

Jennifer: Very good, Captain. We can continue this aboard The Ulterior Motive. Jennifer paused, as she issued one final command to Tye. Jennifer: Keep a docking bay open for us Tye. Tye quickly replied to Jennifer. Tyber: Yes ma'am! Jennifer: Very good. Frost out! Jennifer closed the comm line, as she too left the bridge and proceeded to make her way down to the hanger bay. As she walked through the corridors, she placed her hand on her earpiece, and contacted Burke. Jennifer: Captain Frost to Doctor Burke...David, do you copy? After a moment, Burke's voice began to come through Jennifer's earpiece. Burke: I hear you Jennifer. What can I do for you? Jennifer: I need a medical team prepped for The Ulterior Motive. There is no doubt wounded still aboard that ship, and they will require your expertise. Burke: Do I need combat medics, or will regular medics suffice? Jennifer: Combat medics would be preferred. Even though we have secured The Ulterior Motive, we cannot be 100% sure that the ship is totally secured. I want anyone who goes over there to be combat ready. Burke: Yes ma'am. Jennifer: You may as well tag along as well. There will be a debrief, and I would prefer that you are informed. I will be heading over now. I want you to meet me in Hanger Bay 1. Burke: Understood. Let me gear u. I can be there in a few minutes. Jennifer: Excellent. Frost out. Jennifer closed the comm line, as she continued to make her way to the Ulterior Motive. Meanwhile: Nighthawk and Anaconda were still in the Prowler Bay. Both of them were still resting up from their last engagement before they joined the others. Nighthawk: Well...Vanguard aside, I still there there is a hell of a lot we learned about The Trust today. For starters...what can you tell me about The Consultant? I have never really seen her before. Anaconda: She is very odd. She seems to have some sort of obsession with me. Nighthawk: Did she say why? Anaconda: No...but perhaps it was my ruggedly handsome good looks. Nighthawk: Let's put a pin in that theory for a moment, and explore other possibilities. Anaconda: Are you saying I am not ruggedly handsome? Nighthawk: Yes...no...no... Nighthawk scoffed. Nighthawk: I don't think you are her ruggedly handsome type. Anaconda growled. Nighthawk: Let's stay on topic here. Anaconda: We are on topic. Now, I am no expert on Humans, but I think she was trying to make a move on me. She was way too comfortable. Nighthawk: Yeah, you mentioned that. What is her deal, anyway? Anaconda: I do not know. However, she clearly is obsessed with me in some way. She wanted me to join The Trust, and she was going to have it no other way. Even after I threatened her, she was still very persistent. Nighthawk: She was clearly after something. I want to know what it was. Anaconda: Are you going to suggest that I seek her out? Nighthawk: Oh, God no... Nighthawk paused. Nighthawk: I am suggesting that we should dig around on this ship to see if we can find anything which might point us in the right direction. We might even be able to find out where they went. We may be able to stop this Vanguard thing before they activate it. Anaconda: I doubt it. Anaconda paused. Anaconda: I will say this much; I know how this is going to end, and it is going to be with a battle with Vanguard. There is no beating this or escaping this. I am going to have to face Vanguard...again. Nighthawk: You? What makes you think that you are doing it alone? Anaconda: Because I am the only one who has ever beaten it. Nighthawk: So...? Nighthawk paused. Nighthawk: Look...Vanguard is technology...and if there is one thing I know well, it is technology. Anaconda: This thing is beyond any technology that you know. Nighthawk: Beyond any technology that I know...so far. Anaconda looked at Nighthawk. Nighthawk: Wherever the Trust has run off to...I am sure there is more technology like Vanguard. Any technology like Vanguard can be used against Vanguard. Anaconda: You assume this. Nighthawk: No, I know it! Tell me, when you fought Vanguard the first time, where was it? Anaconda: Another forge... Nighthawk: And I am sure that the first forge had a shitload of weird-ass technology that you had never seen before. Anaconda: More or less... Nighthawk: My point exactly. You are not fighting this thing alone, not as long as I still draw breath. If it turns out that the only way to beat Vanguard is by shooting it with lots of guns, I am prepared to do that. However, I will not abandon the idea of finding a technological solution to Vanguard. I will be my life on it that there is something we can use against him, and I intend to find it. Nighthawk paused. Nighthawk: Vanguard may be a very sophisticated and powerful killing machine...but I am a military grade scientist, and a damn good one at that. There is nothing in this life that cannot be beaten by military grade science. Frankly...part of me hopes I get to face Vanguard. I am itching to show this prehistoric motherfucker what I can do. Anaconda began to laugh. Anaconda: I swear it...there are times I could almost believe that a Brute had his way with your mother before you were born. That sort of talk is something that my kind is known for. Nighthawk: Pretty sure I am 100% Human.

[Hells Sniper]

Harrison stood with Strike Team Diamond before he contacted Tye, conversing with them for a few moments. Harrison: How'd it go? Ice spoke to Harrison as his team finished loading gear and helping wounded onto other pelicans. Ice: Better than expected, took a few hits, shook it off. Ice paused and removed his helmet. Ice: Honestly if I knew we were going to take the ship I would've kept the Suites operational, we obliterated their medbay and well, there was a lot of interesting stuff we could have used in there. Harrison nodded, as his eyes scanned the hangar bay. Harrison: If I knew a lot of things that were going to happen, this entire operation would have gone differently. Ice raised an eyebrow. Ice: Sir? Harrison turned to Ice and whispered. Harrison: Have you heard anything about Sharpmen? Snyder overheard the tail end of the conversation before she chimed in. Snyder: Sir, I think I can help there. Harrison raised an eyebrow as he turned to face her. Snyder: He turned himself in to ONI after the first engagement, pursuant to Article RO-581, rogue ONI operatives go into ONI custody. Harrison nodded as he folded his hands behind his back. Harrison: So, Captain Frost has detained him. I wonder how long it will be before she tells me that. Thank you, Sergeant. Snyder spoke once more before Harrison turned. Snyder: Sir, there is one more thing. Nighthawk talked to him before he turned himself in...they exchanged words. Harrison tilted his head as he allowed Snyder to continue. Snyder: Nighthawk wanted to kill him, had a bit of a shouting spree with him, pressed a gun to his head. And well, Jacob wanted it, he pushed his head into his gun, told him to shoot him, to kill him, to do what he wanted. Harrison shook his head. Harrison: Calling his bluff? Ice: Well, he is still alive. Snyder: But only because Nighthawk wanted him to suffer. He took jabs at him, talked about how he'll go to prison, get the headman's axe, how Nighthawk will visit his family. Harrison sighed, if he knew anything about Jacob it's that his family was his weakness. Snyder: Jacob didn't take it, attacked back, had his own words with Nighthawk before he turned himself in. Harrison nodded. Harrison: Thank you, soldier. You all did great today, I hope you know that. Snyder nodded as she walked away, leaving Ice and Harrison to talk once more. Ice: Sir, what is going to happen? I mean, if what Frost said was true, Jacob gave us information that ultimately gave us this ship. He helped Anaconda escape, even though he hates those two, and he killed one of the Risk Takers. Harrison's eyes widened. Harrison: He did what? Ice nodded. Ice: He killed Savannah, split in her half really. He helped us take the ship. Harrison: That he did, I don't know what is with him, but everything he has done since he joined the Trust has been for us. Ice shrugged. Ice: Except for killing a dozen and a half good marines. Harrison shook his head. Harrison: In war you always lose good men, but sometimes you never get soldiers like Jacob. Ones who are willing to do what is necessary, even at the risk of their lives, in order to win a battle, or turn the tide of war. He proved that to me a long time ago. Harrison took a deep breath and sighed. Harrison: ONI is working with a brute who, for all we know, has killed thousands of humans in his work with the Covenant. And he still works with them...we know that. And Nighthawk... Harrison shook his head at the name. Harrison: That is a man who we all know has killed hundreds, possibly thousands, to do what he deems is necessary. And necessary only in his eyes? And the crew of the King Raven just seem to go along with it. He is a terrorist, through and through. But when he works with them, no one seems to realize it. Harrison paused as he looked at Ice. Harrison: I am not saying what Jacob did was right, he should have warned us, given us time to prepare, but well...Sometimes the ends do justify the means. Ice looked at Harrison and nodded. Ice: He's a good soldier, huh? Harrison: One of the best I have ever seen, Ice. And now he's locked up on the King Raven, and no one bothered to tell me about it. Ice: I guess you should also know about the Covenant...they arrived on the ship, attacked the Trut, and then left. Harrison smiled, half-chuckling, half-angry at the situation. Harrison: Like I said, a brute who still works with the Covenant.

[Naked Crook]

Jennifer arrived in the King Raven's Hanger Bay, as she watches a few dozen Marines loading into Pelicans. Jennifer was forced to wait a few minutes, before Burke finally showed up. As Burke walked into the Hanger Bay, he was checking his pistol. Burke: Jennifer... Burke grinned, as he gave Jennifer a nod. As he did this, he holstered his pistol. Burke: I have about a dozen combat medics ready to join us. They are current packing up their gear, and they will be going onver on the next run. You and I can head over now, if you would prefer. Jennifer: Might as well. I am not going over there as a physician anyway, so, it won't matter either way. Jennifer paused. Jennifer: Come on...we can catch one of the Pelican's that are about to depart. Burke nodded, as he followed behind Jennifer. They boarded the first Pelican they saw, which had about 4 other Marines inside. As Jennifer walked in, she held her hand up, and spoke to the Marines. Jennifer: At ease, men. The Marines simply nodded, as they sat in the seats, waiting for departure. Jennifer, who had no intention of waiting, simply gave the order to depart to the pilot. Jennifer: Pilot...double time this bird to the Ulterior Motive! Pilot: Yes ma'am! The rear hatch on the Pelican seal to an air tight lock, as the Pelican took off, and headed over to the Ulterior Motive. As the Pelican made it's journey, Burke spoke to Jennifer. Burke: So, I heard that we captured Jacob. Is this true? Jennifer: Yes. I have him being held in maximum security. I am still trying to decide how to interrogate him. Burke: Tell me you are not thinking of letting Nighthawk question him? Do I have to remind you what he did to Hoffman? Jennifer: I remember clear as day what Nighthawk did to Hoffman...which is why I am going to let him do it to Jacob if Jacob does not comply. Burke: Are you expecting him to resist any sort of questioning? Jennifer: No, but I am expecting him to hold back information, or even, twist it to suit himself. Jennifer paused. Jennifer: For all I know, Jacob could have been a member of The Trust for a while, and he simply wants out. Or, he decided to join The Trust, and he simply got cold feet after he made the jump Pwerhaps he regrets it, and he is going to try and cover up his mistake with excuses. Whatever happens, I doubt we are going to get a completly honest answer from him. Burke: I cannot believe he actually tried to team up with The Trust. I feel like an idiot. I cannot believe I sent him, of all people, to the DARK facility. Jennifer: Don't feel bad David. That is what the Trust does; they pretend to be your friends, and they turn on you when you are most vulnerable. Don't blame yourself because Jacob is a good liar...or an idiot. Burke sighed. Burke: Well, hopefully we can get something out of all of this. I am not liking how things are playing out. This is one of those things that always can, and does, get worse. Jennifer: I have a feeling this is going to get worse...much worse. As Jennifer said this The Pelican shook a bit, as it landed in the hanger bay of the Ulterior Motive. As the engines powered down, the rear hatch opened, and Jennifer stepped out. Burke followed behind her. As Jennifer stepped onto the Hanger Bay floor, she saw Harrison conversing with one of his teams. She wasted no time in approaching him, from the side, as she spoke his name. Jennifer: Admiral...you sure wasted no time in showing up.

[Hells Sniper]

Harrison turned as soon as he heard his rank called. He smiled as he saw Jennifer and Burke on the hangar bay floor. Ice had saluted the moment they arrived. Harrison: Captain Frost, Commander Burke. Harrison nodded as he said each of their names before tilting his head to Ice. Harrison: You are dismissed, Sergeant. Ice sent off his salute and nodded as he walked to join his Strike Team. Harrison turned back to Frost and Burke. Harrison: I wanted to see the ship as much as you did, Captain. It's not every day you capture the flagship of a rogue naval officer now is it? Harrison paused. Harrison: I trust Commander Vernette is in charge of securing the bridge?

[Naked Crook]

Jennifer: He should be there now. He should still be there, actually. I see no reason why we cannot head there now. Jennifer paused. Jennifer: With that said, I have additional personnel and medical teams inbound, ready to sweep this ship for any stragglers. I suggest that any additional support that you have inbound should focus on sweeping every corner of this ship. If any Trust personnel are found, every effort should be made to capture them. If capture is not possible, killing them would be an acceptable alternative. Jennifer paused. Jennifer: Anything we can get at this point would be invaluable.

[Hells Sniper]

Harrison nodded. Harrison: All of my teams have been debriefed, they understand the mission parameters. Harrison then glanced at the hangar doors. Harrison: I think we should wait for Captain Reynolds before we go, might as well have the whole brass on the deck before we debrief.

[Naked Crook]

Jennifer: Very well. We can wait a few minutes for Reynolds to show up, before we head to the bridge. I am sure that he is as interested as we are in an update on our current status. Jennifer paused. Jennifer: On the topic of "current status"...may I inquire as to what you were speaking to your soldiers about?

[Hells Sniper]

Harrison: Wanted an update on their status and their thoughts on the mission. Harrison smirked as he glanced at his team. Harrison: They are upset that they just destroyed a medical bay full of advanced technology when we could have used it for our gain but then again... Harrison looked back at Frost and chuckled. Harrison: If there's one thing I learned, it's that it's not a military operation if things don't go the way they're planned.

[Kairu]

Reynolds' pelican landed on the Ulterior Motive. Before the back hatch opened, he took a deep breath to prepare himself. He had already been on the Motive before, but now, he must pretend to be non-Trust. When the hatch opened Cadieux and Axlon, various ground troops, and the senior staff who arrived just awhile ago, were in front of him. Reynolds stood with his hands clasped together behind his back, legs spread enough as though he were at ease in the academy.
