Xyrho looked at Vhat and nodded. Xyrho: Yes...this is exactly what this is about. Xyrho paused. Xyrho: For those of you who do not know...Vanguard is what we would call a Holy Oracle. However...there is nothing holy about it. This construct is not to be met with reverence, but rather, the sharp end of a blade.

Urran nodded. "Shipmaster, at risk of acting out of line... Questioning your orders... May I ask, WHAT exactly would sparing the Holy Oracle... This... Vanguard... Mean? Obviously it is dangerous... But I would like details." He said. He didn't become an Ultra by charging into battle without a plan.

Rah'jesh loaded his carbine as he listens to the others, placing his it on his back. When his oppertunity to say something rises, he speaks out. "If we're to do this risky move, we'll have to make sure this dosen't trace back to us. I have some means of erasing unwanted traces, though I presume you, Shipmaster, has that under controll. If word of our "heretical" actions are to spread, we'd be branded as heretics and have our guts paraded through High Charity."

look at both Urran and Rah'jesh, as he addressed their questions. Xyrho: This Oracle...craves nothing but the destruction of all that it considers beneath it. It does not see me, or anyone else, as being worthy of continued existence. It does not understand loyalty, and it does not understand fidelity. The only concepts that this construct truly understands is destruction and deception. It never has, and never will have any desire to be of any use to us. It will lie and deceive those of us who may be blinded by its perceived divinity in order to accomplish a single goal... Xyrho paused. Xyrho: Cleanse this galaxy of every living thing... Xyrho hung his head. Xyrho: I cannot guarantee that what we do here will not get back to The Covenant...which is why I have kept the nature of this mission so secret. Xyrho paused again. Xyrho: But there is more to this battle than just Vanguard... Xyrho began to pace back and forth. Xyrho: There are Humans that understand the nature of what Vanguard is...and there are Humans that do not. The Humans who do not fully understand the nature of Vanguard, or they choose to ignore it, and they are activly working to bring this Construct back into existence. We are here, to not only destroy Vanguard, but to destroy ONLY the Humans who would bring Vanguard, this abomination, back from the darkness that I had helped to originally send it to.

Liam received Spender's transmission and nodded as he continued to jog with the rest of the Spartans in tow. Liam: Understood Director. Good luck, we'll see you planetside. Spartans out. Liam terminated the transmission and was about to speak to the rest of the Spartans when he heard the transmission from Black 1 come in. Liam grinned devilishly as he heard Black 1's announcement. Liam: Deck 7, section 15. We're on our way, Black 1. Liam turned around and continued to walk backwards, speaking to the Spartans with him. Liam: Nighthawk and Anaconda are on Deck 7, section 15! Ullr, bring up a floor plan of that area, bring it up on all of our screens. I want to cut these bastards off, and I want to end this. Here. And now. Liam turned back around again and waited for Ullr to bring up the floor plan. Meanwhile: Fireteam Wolf and Ivory had since been moving towards the engineering deck, bypassing patrols and getting past checkpoints as best they could. They had a few setbacks, and a couple loses, but for the most part, the teams were in tact and a few minutes away from the engineering deck. It was only until they entered the deck that Tye's transmission had come in. The Ivory Sergeant told everyone to hold up inside the stairwell as he brought his comms to full strength. Sergeant Acker: We read you Commander. This is Sergeant Acker of Assault team Ivory, we took a few loses, including Sergeant Popper, but we are green and currently two minutes from target location. Meanwhile: Madison nodded at Axlon. Madison: From what I know, he's a bit busy, but I'll see if we can pull him up on comms. Give me a moment. Madison hopped off the desk and brought her hand up to her helmet. Madison: Commander Vernette, this is Sergeant Madison from Diamond team. We are currently locked inside the medbay, some sort of containment shield and we can blow the suites until we get out. Axlon from Harmony is currently working on bypassing the protocol, but we're hitting some walls. Madison paused. Madison: Wondering if Nighthawk might have a trick or two to get us inside? Meanwhile: Dangerus had since departed his cruiser with six other brutes and was en route to the human ship. It was then he noticed a second phantom pulling up. Dangerus smiled, it was from Xyrho's ship. Dangerus spoke into the cockpit. Dangerus: Pilot, bring us up on that phantom's side. Follow it. The pilot nodded and soon the phantoms were side by side, heading towards the Ulterior Motive.

"Shipmaster... Are you saying that we are to ignore the Hierarchs' orders to kill them?" He asked. Not out of shock, but confusion. That was his mission from the start of his military career! Traisuon meanwhile had been sweeping the area for any hidden rooms, or rooms left uncheckedunchecked, trying to find whoever triggered the protocol. "I'll see if I can find who triggered it and talk him into bringing it down, eh?"

Xyrho scoffed at Urran. Xyrho: The Hierarchs are not here, Urran. They do not know Vanguard as I do. Even if they were here, I would still be giving this order. The Humans are no threat compared to Vanguard. Besides...one of the Humans has been providing me with the information that made this mission possible. Xyrho paused. Xyrho: This battle is more than it seems. Xyrho paused. Xyrho: The Covenant's arrival at this world has been planned...choreographed by Vanguard's acolytes. We have been manipulated...

Urran nodded in understanding. "You know I am completely loyal to you, Shipmaster. I follow whatever orders you give. I will hold my fire."

Before Xyrho could speak again, he was interrupted by Voro, who was flying the Phantom. Voro: Shipmaster...another Phantom has joined us. The Phantom bears the markings of CHieftain Dangerus' vessel. Xyrho: I expected as much. Dangerus will be joining us on this mission. I took the liberty of informing the Chieftain of the situation, and he and I are in full agreement with what must be done. Xyrho paused. Xyrho: Voro...transmit a message to The Chieftain; send my recommendation that we engage active camo in order to sneak by the Human vessels that have our target surrounded. The last thing I would want would be for our efforts to end in a very unimpressive blaze of glory. Meanwhile: Tye, along with Nighthawk, Anaconda, Cameron, and Dark continued to move through the corridors. As he did, he spoke to Sergeant Acker. Tyber: Sergeant...listen very carefully. I require something very specific from you. Once you managed to gain access to the engineering deck, I need you to place top priority on cutting power to the elevator shaft that runs directly to this ship's Prowler bay. ODST Black Team is going to be getting on that elevator, and I want them delayed. I will require time to get down to the Prowler bay before they do. So whatever you have to do to cut power to that elevator shaft. If memory serves me correctly, you should be able to access the systems for that specific elevator shaft from Terminal 39-Baker in the engineering deck. Terminal 39-Baker will be on the second level. north side of the room. Inform me once you have found this terminal and you have cut power to that elevator shaft. The faster you do this, the better. Tye paused for a moment, and before he got any acknowledgement from Acker, he spoke once more before closing the comm. Tyber: Vernette out. Tye closed the comm line. However, before he could say anything else, he heard the communication from Madison. Tyber: We will not need Nighthawk on this one, Sergeant. Listen to me very carefully. Near the back of the Medical bay, you should find an administrative console. No doubt you have someone there trying to hack the door. Inform them to stop immediately. The systems on this ship are littered with booby traps. Hacking attempts can be quite dangerous if someone does not have a good working knowledge of such things. Tye paused. Tyber: From the administrative console, access the biohazard subsystems, and enter in the following abort code... Tye stopped. He paused for a moment, Tyber: Uhhh...hold on... Tye was silent for a moment before he spoke again. Tyber: Bravo-Hotel-Charlie-0-0-0-Alpha-Upsilon-Mike-Charlie Tye paused. Tyber: That will abort the biohazard containment. Contact me if it does not work. I am 99% sure that is the code. Nighthawk, Anaconda, and Cameron all looked at Tye. Nighthawk raised his hand, as he made a few slashing gestures at Tye, as if telling him to stop talking, and that he was giving WAY too much information to people who did not need to know that he knew these things.

Vhat remained quiet. Although recently promoted to Ultra, he had no words or plans or questions. He merely observed, following orders. Axlon overheard Tye telling him to stop his attempts. He rushed over to the administrative console and made the logical guesses to the point of needing a code. He looked at Madison as if expecting something, the passcode prompt active on the console's screen.
