Fireteam Harmony could hear Furium crashing through the roof as they shook the immediate area. Robertson: "Whatever the hell that was, it was close!" Arman had been ignoring any comm chatter and focused on the fighting. She felt like these Trust ODSTs were limitless, constantly coming out of the framework just to stop anyone from getting to Hoffman. When the area shook from Furium's fall, it stumbled everyone. Arman: "Harmony! Push forward! Robertson, fire your launcher!" Robertson stepped into what would be the line of fire as the Trust ODSTs took a few moments to recover. He grabbed his rocket launcher and readied it. He looked at the ammo count taking note how many shots he had, one. He fired the rocket down into a group of the ODSTs dead ahead, causing the walls to collapse and any Trust ODST who was in the way, got scorched, thrown, or merely exploded from the rocket. Robertson threw the rocket launcher to the ground and drew his grenade launcher. He checked his clip size and then how many frags he had, eight total. Five in the whole clip and then three on his belt. He aimed the launched in an arc that his HUD had highlighted, maximizing the total damage to Trust soldiers. Robertson: "Fire in the hole! Hope you assholes like the taste of frag in the daylight!" Harmony stayed behind cover as Robertson unleashed his hobby. He fired three shots in a slanted arc, clearing a way forward. Harmony moved up with Robertson as he launched a grenade in each room, clearing out any 'would-be' hostiles, Harmony falling in and securing the rooms. By now the Trust soldiers recuperated and resumed firing, but Harmony was already on top of it. Axlon threw a flashbang out, stunning the Trust ODSTs again. Harmony looked away when it went off, making them oblivious to the effect. Robertson continued forward launching his other three grenades. Robertson fired one forward, clearing out the immediate hostiles. Harmony moved forward, waiting outside of the next two side rooms. Robertson launched the grenades at an angle, having each ricochet off the office doors and into the room. They both exploded and Robertson threw his grenade launcher down, replacing it with his shotgun. Arman: "Good work. Harmony, let's go get Hoffman." Fireteam Harmony jogged down the hall, reloading and taking ammo count as they went, preparing for the inevitable shootout in Hoffman's Office. Vhat remained holding his sword and rifle. He fired a couple shots to distract William. Vhat ducked behind cover and engaged his cloak. He moved around the debris and fired several more shots at William, hitting the Spartan's shields. William reacted and Vhat moved out of his line of fire, reversing his steps and backtracking to throw off the anticipation.

[Hells Sniper]

Liam regrouped with Jessica and Emma and stood there for a few seconds as Jessica drew her flashbangs. Liam raised his fist and three fingers, one by one he dropped them. 3. 2. 1. Jessica broke from cover and threw two flash bangs into the middle of the room, landing in front of Nighthawk and Anaconda. Jessica landed on the other side of the hallway and moments later, the flashbangs popped. Liam: Jessica, Nighthawk, now! Jessica broke from cover and engaged her thermal, she ran straight at Nighthawk. Since he was confused she managed to get the jump on him and knock his magnum from his hand. Jessica lifted him up by the throat and threw him down the steps of the stairs, she ran to the top of the stairs and started to fire her magnum at him. At the same time, Liam and Emma both engaged their thermal and ran at Anaconda, unloading their shotguns on Anaconda. His shields took most of the brunt but after three or four shots they faded out and two hits landed on Anaconda's chest causing him to stumble. Liam and Emma both attached their shotguns to their backs and ran at Anaconda, hitting him in the same place the shotgun rounds landed. They slammed him through a wall and together were able to lift him up and slam him on a desk. They both stood over him and backed up, cracking their knuckles they drew their shotguns and raised them. In front of them was a giant hole, where Savannah flew by preparing to launch her attack on Furium. Savannah raised the gravity hammer as she jumped down one more floor and scanned the area. Furium wasn't there, but she knew he couldn't have gone far. She activated her thermal and saw him in another room, preparing his rifle. Savannah smiled and ran towards the location, she didn't enter the room but instead took the hammer and slammed it against the wall. The force of the hammer caused the wall to explode and Furium flew back, losing his rifle. Furium recovered rather quickly and stared at Savannah, he growled and then ran at her. As Savannah was about to him with his own hammer, he braced his forearm with his armor. The blade dug deep inside the forearm, cutting him a little bit. But, without flinching, Furium tugged his arm and pulled the hammer right from Savannah's hands. He grinned and pulled the hammer from his arm, his own blood dripping from the blade. Furium growled lowly as he lifted the hammer and slammed it into the ground. Savannah flew backwards, crashing through the wall behind her. Meanwhile: Desmond was unable to move and seeing as he had no other choice, chose to drop to the floor. When the plasma grenade went off it destroyed the wall next to him and damaged his armor. Desmond watched as Xyrho approached his location and he rolled into the next room, standing up and drawing his rifle. Near him, William watched as Vhat moved about in cloaking. He had no idea where he was or where he was going to be so he activated his thermal and saw Vhat heading to the other side behind a wall. William, being the biggest of the III's and almost as big as a II cracked his neck and ran straight at the wall. He burst through the wall and hit Vhat square in the gut, throwing him off gaurd, Vhat dropped his rifle. William brought them both down in a tackle as he rolled over to recuperate. Meanwhile: Jacob saw what happened and instinctively moved his fire towards Tye's position, being careful not to actually hit Tye, but enough for him to be pushed into cover. Jacob began to back up slowly and when his clip ran dry he yelled out. Jacob: Out. Moving to stairwell! Jacob holstered his magnum and ran towards the stairwell.

[Naked Crook]

ODST Nova Team had fully geared up, and had left The Ulterior Motive. They were currently on a Pelican, en-route to New Havana. Nova Team was discussing their tactics. Anubis: Alright Nova Team...listen up! Our job down there is very clear - we have to locate and Secure The Brute for The Consultant. Apophis: Before The Risk Takers get to him I supposed. Anubis: Well, that is the tricky part; we will need The Risk Takers to subdue Anaconda...but we cannot allow The Risk Takers to KILL. They are under orders to kill, and it will be our job to stop them from doing so. Imohtep: These are very steep orders boss. Anubis: I am aware of the difficulties...but there is a reason that The Consultant entrusted us with this assignment; because were always get the job done. The other three members of Nova team nodded. Anubis: It will be tough, and there will be obstacles to this...but we cannot fail The Consultant. Anubis paused. Anubis: We are authorized to do whatever we have to do to secure Anaconda. If we have to engage The Risk Takers...we will. If we have to talk them down...we will. If we have to carry Anaconda back to this Pelican... Anubis paused. He then laughed. Anubis: We will. The other members of Black Team looked at each other. Osiris then spoke up. Osiris: Boss...they are REALLY heavy... Anubis: I am aware of that Osiris: Osiris: No...they are REALLY REALLY heavy... Anubis: I know... Osiris: How are we going to move him? Anubis: The only way we can... Anubis paused. Anubis: Teamwork! Apophis: Or...if we are lucky...we can talk The Risk Takers down...and convince them to move The Brute. Anubis: Assuming we are lucky. Nova Team's Pelican began its approach to The Apex Applied Research Building. As they got close, Anubis began to speak once more. Anubis: Renegade! Anubis was calling out to The Trust AI. Anubis: Respond! Anubis watched as Renegade's avatar appeared on his HUD. Renegade: Online... Anubis: Isolate the current location of The Risk Takers...and transfer that information to our HUD - Security Override Anubis-Epsilon-Theta. Renegade let out a few tones, before it vanished from the HUDs of Nova Team. As it vanished, The Risk Taker's tags began to highlight on the HUD...isolating their exact positions. Anubis: The Risk Takers are scattered. There is one on the roof...and they are all over the 40th floor. Something isn't right. Apophis: I only count six. Anubis: You are right...Lyle is not with them. No matter...we are not here to care about their well being...we are here to secure The Brute and bring him back to The Consultant. Anubis paused, as he looked at the cockpit. Anubis: Pilot...bring the missiles online...and take us into hovering position near the 40th flood. Make an entrance for us! Trust Pilot: Copy that! The Pelican that was carrying Nova Team stopped its descent, as it began to hover near the 40th floor. The Pelican moved back a bit, as it fired two missiles right at the side of the building, blowing a large hole in the building, large enough for Nova Team to jump from the Pelican and land in in order to put them in close proximity of The Risk Takers. Anubis: Pilot! Pop the rear hatch...and back us up! Get us within jumping distance! Anubis watched as the rear hatch opened. He could see from the moving scenwery that the Pelican was turning around. Once the rear of the Pelican was facing the APex Applied Research Building, it began to slowly back up towards the building. Anubis: Get us closer! The Pelican continued to back up. Anubis: A bit closer! The Pelican slowly got closer and closer. Anubis: Alright...whoa...whoa...stop or you will back right into the building. We can go from here! Trust Pilot: I will hold this bird steady! Make the jump! Anubis: Be sure that you do hold us steady! Anubis paused. Anubis: Pilot...we will contact you once Anaconda has been secured. Extraction point will be Apex Square...right in front of the building...ground level! Be there on time when we call you! Anubis paused. Anubis: Clear? Trust Pilot: Very clear sir! Good luck! Each member of Nova Team stood up, as they faced the rear hatch. One by one, they took a running leap from out the rear hatch, jumping towards the breach in the side of the building. Each member of Nova Team landed inside of the building, one after the other. Once all 4 members of Nova Team were inside the building, the Pelican took off. Anubis: Alright Nova Team...let's move! Meanwhile: As Nighthawk flew down the stairs, he hit his Jetpack, and leveled himself before he hit the ground. He then saw Jessica enter the stairwell, and begin to fire at him. NIghthawk hit the thrusters of his Jetpack to quickly move himself to the side to avoide the gunfire. Nighthawk then cut his thrusters, and put his feet back on solid ground once more. Nighthawk reached to his side and grabbed his Second Magnum, as he once again turned the corner, and took aim at Jessica. He began to fire on her. Nighthawk: Don't you idiots learn!? Throwing me does not work! Meanwhile: Anaconda was taken aback by the strength demonstrated by the two Spartans. As he crashed through the desk, he began to breath heavily from the fall. He was hurting, badly, and he was feeling the wear and tear. Anaconda knew he was running out of options, and that he was losing this fight. However, despite this, he refused to give in and allow himself to be defeated. Anaconda growled, as he tried to get himself going. He summoned ever ounce of strength he had left, as he pushed both Liam and Emma off of him. Slowly, Anaconda climbed back to his feet, along with Liam and Emma, in clear defiance of every effort to keep him down. Anaconda glared at Liam and Emma, as he spat his blood at them, and charged them. He slammed his body into Emma, knocking her back. Anaconda then swung his right arm, in an attempt to backhand Liam, but Liam ducked. However, Anaconda, who was now facing Liam, used his left hand to grab liam by the throat, as he pushed Liam against the wall, chocking him. Anaconda: Is this the best you have Spartan!? I am NOT impressed! Anaconda placed his right hand on Liam neck, as he began to strangle Liam. He squeezed as hard as he could, as he slowly forced Liam to his knees. Anaconda was baring his teeth, snarling at Liam, small bits of blood shooting from his mouth as he snarled, hitting Liam's visor. Meanwhile: Xyrho watched as Desmond rolled away. Xyrho took chase after Desmond As Xyrho engaged Desmond, he swung his energy blade at Desmond. Desmond managed to recoil, but Xyrho managed to cut Desmond's rifle in half. Xyrho: Pitiful! I am not impressed!

"Damn!" Jesse said, slowly standing. "Thanks Commander. They nearly had my ass." Meanwhile, elsewhere in the city... A figure, seven feet tall, gazed upon the destruction of the city. It would be impossible to tell the figure's emotion behind the VISR, however, but it would be possible to tell that it had played a major part... "C'mon, Spartan! We gotta move up!" A Marine said, snapping him out of it. He nodded, readying his DMR. "Alright, thanks, we could use the cover." The Marine stated, nearly getting shot as the Trust forces tried desperately to keep them from the building.

Tye watched as ODST Black Team began to fall back. Tyber: Shit...they are falling back. Tye looked over to Cameron. Tyber: Cam! Window! Pronto! Cameron looked at Tye and nodded, as THe Spartan turned and ran right toward the Window, leaping out, and falling down five floors, right to the ground level. Tye then looked at Jesse. Tyber: Common...we go on foot. We are going after Black Team. Shake the lead out! With that said, Tye turned, as he took chase of ODST Black Team.

"Yes sir!" He said, cocking his magnum for emphasis as he had just loaded in a new magazine. Meanwhile, on the ground... The Spartan fired while moving, not having a hard time aiming at all due to his skill. The ammunition easily tore enemies apart without over-penetrating, leaving rather gruesome wounds. He eventually had to get behind cover as his shields recharged. "Damn, we can't get through this barricade!" A Marine said. The The Spartan nodded, tossing a grenade behind their cover to push them back before he charged, ramming his shoulder into the wreckage used to make the barricade, sending it rolling out of the way with the combined efforts of the soldiers helping.

Fireteam Harmony stood outside Hoffman's office doors. Arman and Axlon were on one side, Robertson and Cadieux on the other. All of them were kneeling on opposite sides of the door. They dropped their talking to a whisper. Robertson: "What's the plan?" Arman checked her radar. She counted 13 distinct, unknown bio-signatures. Arman: "I'm counting 13. One is probably Hoffman which means we have 12 other lifesigns to terminate. The way they are grouped, I would say they're each three teams of four. One on either side of Hoffman, and a team in the direct line of fire. What's our supply count?" Everyone started counting what they had. Axlon: "One more flash, full magnum plus two, and one full BR clip." Robertson: "Full shotgun plus three." Cadieux: "Two frags, full mag plus two, and half an AR." Arman: "I've got one full SMG and full shotgun plus two." Everyone took a moment to assess. Arman: "Corporal, give me your flashbang." Axlon handed Arman his grenade. Arman: "Private hand me and Robertson your frags." Cadieux did as instructed. Robertson: "Old school breach?" Arman: "Not quite. Instead, after the flash, we throw out the frags between the three groups on opposite sides. Aim wide so we don't harm Hoffman." Robertson: "Well not too bad. I've only got bio-foam and a basic first-aid kit." Arman: "Right, after the frags, we see who is left and drop them. Switch to semi-auto, single fire burst weapons. Robertson, you and I are on point. We'll take out any survivors of the forward team with our shotguns while Axlon and Cadieux drop the survivors of the two side teams. Ready Harmony?" Axlon, Robertson, and Cadieux nodded. Without delay, Arman slowly opened the door, throwing the flashbang in. Harmony looked away to avoid being blinded and Arman and Robertson tossed the two frag grenades following up. Eight Trust ODSTs dropped from the grenades, three on either side and two up front. Before the Trust ODSTs could recover, Arman and Robertson blasted the two forward ODSTs leaving the two next to Hoffman. Axlon and Cadieux fired their magnums at the two remaining Trust ODSTs' head, firing only their one shots. All that remained in the room was Hoffman and Fireteam Harmony. All four members of Fireteam Harmony pointed their weapons at Hoffman. Arman: "Hoffman, I presume?" Vhat was a little winded and surprised at the strength of the SPARTAN's tackle through the wall. He knew SPARTANs were strong but not that strong. Vhat leaped up and activated his energy sword. William was still rolling over as Vhat charged at him, ready to stab him on the ground.

[Naked Crook]

Hoffman slowly stood up from his desk, as he glared at Fireteam Harmony. Hoffman looked around his office, and was taken aback by how quickly his office was stormed. He then looked at Fireteam Harmony. Hoffman could tell by the wording of their question that they did not know exactly who they were looking for. Hoffman decided to take advantage of this supposition, and answer their question. Hoffman: Actually...you just missed him. He was evacuated some time ago. Hoffman paused. Hoffman: He is long gone. If you are here looking for him...you are out of luck.

Harmony looked around at each other. Arman: "Okay... then make your peace. You're just a casualty of the war then." Arman cocked her shotgun and aimed it right Hoffman's head.
