As the KDf fleet moved forward, S'kaelz found himself analyzing why the tactical wing of Defiant class vessels were moving forward, and abandoning the protection of the larger cruisers.
S'kaelz: What is the status of the large cruisers on the Federation line?
KDF Tactical Officer: The larger Federation ships are holding back.
S'kaelz: Our enemy is exposing our main targets. I was expecting to have to fight through their Cruisers at the very least...
S'kaelz paused for a moment to consider his options. He was faced with an interesting dilemma. Was Starfleet making a fatal mistake, or a calculated move? S'kaelz knew better than to second guess himself in front of his crew, as he had always made it a point to show absolute certainty in his leadership ability. However, he was not used to anything being this easy.
S'kaelz: Maintain course. All power to forward sheilds. Have all wings triangualet fire on their designated targets. Have all of our Bird of Preys hold back, and allow the larger cruisers to absorb all preliminary fire. When those Definat Class ships start their weapon cycling, all Bird of Prey class vessels will move forward and intercept those Defiant Class vessels. If we are able to pull this off, we should put ourselves in a situation where we can cause heavy damage to the Defiant Tactical Wing on our first pass, allowing our larger cruisers to maintain fire, while our Bird of Preys come about, and finish off the tactical wing.
S'kaelz paused.
S'kaelz: After that...the rest of that Federation fleet will be demorilized and too heavily outgunned to WANT to continue this fight.
