Nighthawk and Anaconda had made it to the roof of Regional HQ Bravo. They saw their Vulture waiting on on one of the landing pads. They wasted no time in making a B-Line for their Vulture. The moment they stepped aboard, Nighthawk ran for the cockpit, and took control of the Gunship. He initiated the VTOL sequence, and the Vulture lifted off. Anaconda sat down on one of the seats in the rear compartment.

Nighthawk: Alright...The Stealth Systems are in the green...and the Corvette has not picked us up on their sensors. Hopefully...we are able to make a clean get away.

Anaconda: Even if they do detect us...I am sure they have much higher priorities at the moment.

Nighthawk: You mean...mining the data center in Regional HQ?

Anaconda: Yeah...for all the good it will do them.

Nighthawk paused. He started to think.

Nighthawk: Speaking of Regional HQ Bravo...

Nighthawk paused.

Nighthawk: HAWK...

Nighthawk looked over at the small holopad on the Vulture's dashboard. A miniaturized version of HAWK appeared, and looked back at Nighthawk.

HAWK: Yes?

Nighthawk: Have you looked over any of the information that we took from the Regional HQ BRavo data servers?

HAWK: I have indexed all the information. 12% of the information is classified as new. 62% is considered supplementary. 10% is considered low value, and 16% is considered redundant.

Nighthawk: What kind of new information did we find?

HAWK: Most of it is progress updates on some classified dealings ONI has on San Angeles. The rest is just fleet information that has been archived.

Anaconda stood up. He walked into the cockpit, and sat down in the co-pilots seat.

Anaconda: What kind of "classified dealings" are we talking about?

HAWK: I am still analyzing the information at hand. This should only take a few more minutes.

Nighthawk: Alright...we should be back at the Venture Capitalist in no time at all. Hopefully, you should have something for us at this time.

HAWK: I will have all relevant information waiting for you, on the bridge.

Nighthawk and Anaconda's Vulture continued to fly upwards, away from White Water City, returning to orbit.

Meanwhile:

Cameron chimed in. He heard Harrison asking for any more information that could be provided on The Risk Takers.

Cameron: Well, sir. If I may interject?

Cameron paused.

Cameron: I can say that I knew some of the Spartan II's that we encountered. Out of the seven Spartans we saw, four of them were Spartan II - Class 0s. When I was first augmented, and brought into the program, I made it my business to get to know all of the others. It was because of this, I was selected as the senior Spartan II in the Class 0 generation.

Cameron paused.

Cameron: With that said...the Spartans in question were Liam-Z174, Savannah-Z129, Jessica-Z190, and Desmond-Z055. Each of these Spartans excel at what they do. They were among the best of the best.

Cameron paused again.

Cameron: However, the fact is, there was no indication that the Spartan IIs or Spartan IIIs were actively hostile against us. It seems their only interest was Nighthawk and Anaconda. To be frank sir...that is not a conflict I want to get in the middle of. I am here, on San Angeles, to fight The Covenant, not assist a team of Spartans in killing two "terrorists"...as ONI has so generously designated them.

Cameron paused once more.

Cameron: However, I digress. The four Class 0s that I mentioned are highly proficiant in everything they do. It would be my official recommendation that they are not antagonized. We have no proof that they are as hostile as ODST Black Team.

Tyber: Cam...Black Team arrived with those Spartans. That is enough for me to assume they are working together.

Cameron: Possibly. However...assumptions are never a good idea...especially when you are dealing with a whole team of Super-Soldiers. If they are hostile, we will discover it soon enough. However, if they are not hostile, and we treat them as if they are...well...we would create enemies that could of been avoided.

Cameron paused.

Cameron: If there is one thing that I should add...Class 0s...can be easily antagonized. Very easily antagonized.

Jennifer: What about the Spartan IIIs?

Cameron was silent for a moment.

Cameron: Spartan IIIs? They do not concern me.

Jennifer: Why?

Cameron: Spartan IIIs are...were...designed to be expendable. It is in their nature and design specifications to die. It is as simple as that.

Tyber: That is a little harsh Cam...

Cameron simply looked at Tye. He did not respond.

Cameron just waited for Harrison to respond.

Meanwhile:

Black 2 was still copy information from The Ulterior Motive, to the UNSC Regional HQ Bravo servers.

Black 1: Evan...how is it going?

Black 2: Well..."it"...is progressing. I have already managed to copy 88% of the necessary information to the servers. I need another minute to finish.

Black 1: Alright...sounds good. Let us know when you are done.

Black 2: Well...this won't take long, like I said...another minute.

Black 3: Alright...so...how are we going to evac?

Black 1: Well...obviously we leave the same way we came.

Black 3: Would that be a wise idea? THose UNSC soldiers retreated down the same highway we used to get here. If anything, they would be waiting for us at the other side.

Black 4: Perhaps we can call for a Pelican?

Black 1: We may need something more specialized. If The Covenant have air support...we will need something that is a little more tailored to silent extractions.

Black 2: What about The Risk Takers?

Black 1: Well...obviously...we need to find them before we leave. No matter what...we are going to have to find a way out of here before The Covenant come again in full force.

Meanwhile:

Xyrho, who had been injured in his last battle, was outside of Regional HQ Bravo's front entrance. He had taken the time to signal his Corvette to return, and he was awaiting the return of his ship. He could see the Phantoms closing in on Regional HQ Bravo. He knew that The Covenant had successfully captured this location, despite the level of resistance the humans had put up.

Despite this...Xyrho simply stood tall, and watched as what started as clear blue skies, turned into smoke filled skies, with a hint of orange and red.

Xyrho, however, broke his silence, when he heard someone walking up behind him. Xyrho turned, to see Voro.

Xyrho: Voro...

Voro walked up to Xyrho, and stood next to him.

Voro: We have taken this day. The filth runs, and hides...

Xyrho nodded.

Voro: Soon, we will continue the hunt...and we will finish what we have started.

Xyrho: Indeed.

Xyrho paused.

Xyrho: However...before we do that...we must finish what we came HERE to do. We must find out what the filth knows about or Gods. The idea that they could be in possession of relics that are of the holiest of holy...

Xyrho cringed.

Xyrho: They pervert it...like the mud perverts water.

Voro: They are unclean...unworthy of bearing witness to what our Gods have left for us to inherit...

Voro paused.

Voro: Xyrho...

Xyrho: Yes?

Voro: Does the filth even know what they have? Are they even aware of what they lay their eyes on? Do they understand?

Xyrho: Are we even aware of what they have?

Xyrho paused.

Xyrho: For all of our efforts...we are still...blinded by uncertainty. We do not yet know the extent of what these Humans have. It is why I am here...to find out what it is that hides on this world...what it is that the humans keep from us.

Xyrho fell silent.

Voro: Whatever it may be...our holy Covenant will seize it...

Meanwhile: Back in the sub-basement, in the server room, Black 2 had completed the data transfer. He turned and looked at Black 1.

Black 2: I am finished, sir. All information is accounted for, and ready to be collected by The Covenant.

Black 1: Well done. Let's find The Risk Takers...and bug out.

Black 2 chimed in.

Black 2: I don't think we need to find The Risk Takers. I believe they have found us. They are closing in on our position.

Black 3: Well...that defiantly speeds things up, for sure.

Black 1: Indeed it does.

Black 1 paused.

Black 1: Evan...signal The Ulterior Motive...inform them that we are going to require an air extraction via the use of one of the onboard Stealth Pelicans. Inform The Director that the area is filled with Covenant contacts...and a stealth evac is mandatory!

Black 2: Where should I have them pick us up?

Black 1: The south end of this building was breached some time ago, during the initial attack. We will all exit the building at that location, and board the evac from there.

Black 2: Sounds good. I will send those instructions right away.

Black 1: While you do that...I will get The Risk Takers informed on what we have done, and how we are going to evac.

Meanwhile:

Nighthawk and Anaconda had returned to The Venture Capitalist, which was still in orbit of San Angeles. Thanks to the stealth systems aboard the ship, it has remained undetected thus far.

With the Vulture docked in the hanger bay of The Venture Capitalist, Nighthawk and Anaconda disembarked from the Vulture, and removed their Helmets.

Vernette: God...my eyes are killing me. I have no idea how the jarheads do this every day.

Barrabus: They get used to it...perhaps?

Vernette sighed as he shook his head. He walked to the exit of the hanger bay, with every intention of making his way up to the bridge.

Vernette: We will work on rhetorical statements when we are no longer trying to save San Angeles.

Barrabus: I know what rhetorical means. I knew you were making a rhetorical statement...

Vernette: So then why did you answer?

Barrabus: Because I felt like it...

Vernette: Naturally...

Vernette kept walking, with Barrabus in tow.

Barrabus: Joking aside...do you know anything about those Spartans that attacked us?

Vernette: I do not. That was the first time I had ever seen any of them.

The duo stepped into an elevator. Vernette pressed the button with the number 1 on it.

Vernette: They knew our every move...our every habit, out every tactic, our every idiosyncrasy. This was obviously very well planned, on their part.

Barrabus: Could they be part of The Trust?

Vernette: Possibly. I would not doubt it. To be frank...anyone who points a gun at either of us is bound to be part of The Trust. Rule of thumb...if you hate Military me...or try to kill Nighthawk me...you are working for The Trust. It is a pattern. The Trust hates my guts. I have been butting heads with them since before this war started.

Vernette paused.

Vernette: This was is an inconvience, if anything.

Barrabus: I have no idea how to respond to that.

Vernette: Very few people do.

Vernette shrugged.

Vernette: Fact of the matter is...I am going on the assumption that those Spartans were working for The Trust.

Vernette paused, as the elevator stopped, and the door opened to reveal the bridge.

Vernette: The bridge of a ship...nothing like it, nothing beats it.

Vernette walked towards the command chair and sat down. Unlike on standard military warships, the seating on the bridge of the Venture Capitalist was leather interior, as opposed to the standard issue carbon fiber on military ships.

Vernette: Civilian class luxury meets military industrial complex ingenuity. This is the kind of ship the good Lord himself would command...if he didn't have better things to do...like...being timeless...and running the universe. Good thing thought...I would hate to give this ship up.

Barrabus grunted. He stood on the far side of the holotable, looking right at Vernette.

Barrabus: We should focus! We should find out what HAWK found at Regional HQ Bravo.

Vernette: You're right. Alright...HAWK...do your thing.

HAWK appeared on the holo table.

HAWK: Before I go into detail, sir, I have to an addendum to the conversation you had in the elevator.

HAWK paused.

HAWK: While I was connected to the UNSC Regional HQ Bravo network, via the uplink that was installed onto the mainframe by the Brute...I had access to the internal Closed Circuit Cameras.

Vernette: Go on...

HAWK: I have confirmed that these Spartans that were trying to kill you...were being accompanied by ODST Black Team. I believe you have had a run-in with them before.

Vernette: How could I forget?

Barrabus: Refresh my memory...

Vernette: Remember...the ODSTs in black BDU...the ones we butted heads with when we first stole this ship?

Barrabus: Oh...right. THOSE guys...

Vernette: I have also had a few previous run-ins with them...but that is note important. The point is, we have strong evidence that they were working for The Trust.

HAWK: Indeed. With that said...I managed to find something that is...quite perplexing...

HAWK paused. He vanished from the holotable, but he continued to speak.

HAWK: WHile I was scanning the information we stole...I came across something that I have never seen before. Now, we all know that ONI has had a very keen interest in San Angeles for some time now. The problem is...we don't know why. Nighthawk...at one point you said that you are "out of the loop". I have discovered why...

Vernette: Why?

Barrabus: This should be good...

Barrabus folded his arms.

HAWK: You were deemed an untrustworthy assest by ONI Section 0 Director Constantine Spender.

Barrabus: What else is new?

HAWK: Indeed. However...there is more.

HAWK paused.

HAWK: You were not the only one. According to this intel...you, along with 2453 different R&D specialists were deemed untrustworthy by Director Spender. In contrast...82 people were directly authorized to work on "classified projects" on San Angeles.

Vernette: Let me guess...all 82 of those people are suspected Trust Operatives?

HAWK: Correct.

Barrabus: So...what was this "secret project".

HAWK: Study, analysis, examination, quantification, and classification of unknown xeno technology.

Vernette: What? Clarify!

HAWK: I cannot...as there is no further information on the designated assignment.

Vernette: Is there anything else?

HAWK: Yes.

Barrabus: What else is there?

HAWK: There is...recurring information and diagrams concerning a "prominent glyph"...and...an unexpected end of file termination. Unable to read past offset 1093A6338CC...inconsistent hashing detected...

Vernette sighed.

Vernette: HAWK...stay focused. WHhat are you looking at.

HAWK: I do not know...

Vernette: Show me!

As soon as Vernette requested this, the image on the holotable changed.

Vernette simply stared at this image. Barrabus, on the other hand, backed away.

Vernette: What am I looking at?

HAWK: Unknown.

Vernette took a deep breath, and sighed. He looked over at Barrabus. He saw a look of concern...something that was very rare.

Vernette: Barrabus?

Barrabus: I have seen this symbol before...

Vernette: Where? What does it mean?

Barrabus: I do not know...but I have come to associate it with an idea, as opposed to a meaning.

Vernette: Well...whatever you know...spit it out.

Barrabus: Many years ago...I encountered this symbol. It was used to represent...an avatar...a construct...created by, what the Covenant calls its Gods...the ones we worship. The ones who give us the divine right to destroy your kind.

Vernette: Is this...religious myth?

Barrabus: There is no myth about this. I saw the construct that was represented by this symbol...first hand. I saw what it was capable of. I saw its destructive power, and I saw nothing, but a will to destroy. I knew this construct as "Vanguard". There is much I have to say about Vanguard, and even more to say about the events that led me to the point of facing this thing. Needless to say...this is not something I would like to repeat. I would never want to face it again.

Barrabus paused.

Barrabus: If this symbol is here...then there is something, sleeping deep in this world...that should NOT be disturbed. To awaken what lies beneath...would be very unwise.

Barrabus paused.

Barrabus: If The Trust has found a location of where another Vanguard sleeps...I do not believe they posses the intellectual capacity, nor the wisdom, to understand the...horror...they will unleash. For that matter...neither does the rest of The Covenant.

Barrabus took a deep breath. He hung his head.

Barrabus: I have never considered myself a coward...but I fear this symbol...more than you could possibly imagine.

Meanwhile in the Covenant fleet above San Angeles:

In the Covenant Assault Carrier, Revan's Creed. The Spec - Ops Commander in the ship, Rah'jesh Ke'tash, were in the main hangar, preparing to enter a phantom transport ship, with ten other elites, in dark black armour, and thirteen dark black grunts. Then his second in command, Captain Raltee, came over to him, walking in a temperate speed.

Raltee: Commander.

Raltee saluted, by banging his right hand gently at his own chest two times, before saying:

Raltee: We've gotten the report that our brothers have succesfully taken the location, which the human calls "Regional HQ bravort".

Rah'jesh folds his arms across his chest, giving Raltee a firm now, and replies with a slow and secure voice:

Rah'jesh: Good, brother. The planet will soon enough be cleansed by this filth.

Rah'jesh paused for a moment

Rah'jesh: I leave you in controll of Revan's Creed, while I'm down there and aid our brothers.

Raltee: You honor me, Commander. I will take care of Revan's Creed.

Raltee saluted by banging his right hand on his chest three times, before heading back to the bridge.

Rah'jesh entered the phantom, with the rest of his brothers behind him. He'd then, when in the phantom, enter the cockpit, and speaks in the comm, adressing to Special Operations Commander Voro:

Rah'jesh: Commander. This is Special Operation Commander Reh'jash. Me and my best brothers are on our way down to the surface. Do you have any specific mission needed to be done, or are we to join in with the others in the main assault?

Rah'jesh nodded, firmly, at the pilot, moments later the phantom flew out of the hangar, accompanied by three banshees, heading to the surface.

Meanwhile in the Airfield Mayweather:

Robert and Roger were venturing in the armory, awaiting orders.

Robert: Did you see that brute earlier, in the tunnel? And those Black ODST? Why did we get orders to shoot them, and not the brute. Curious.

Roger used some moments to respond.

Roger: Well, probably some ONI difficulties or political bullcrap. Who knows?

Roger shrugged with his shoulders. Then they ventured onwards.

Reynolds was still in his Ready Room when Anderson had paged him.

Anderson: "Captain, there's activity going on related to all currently tracked parties."

Reynolds looked up, after giving up on trying to bypass the lockout. He knew something is up and that someone doesn't want to give up that information about ODST Black Team. Reynolds got up and re-joined Anderson at the holotable. When he arrived, Anderson began replaying new intel with Nighthawk and Anaconda. The sequence of events showed the duo's vulture take off and stealth. Reynolds was none too pleased.

Reynolds: "LT, starting scanning the area in Infared. Look for cold spots. There's a ship out there and I want to see it."

Anderson looked to Reynolds who was next to him by the holotable.

Anderson: "You think we'll find it?"

Reynolds: "Maybe."

Harrison simply nodded.

Harrison: Cameron is correct...the top brass always knew Spartan III's were not built to last. They were simply soldiers created to be expendable, to be killed after they instilled enough damage in the Covenant. The II's however, they are the real threat.

Harrison shrugged.

Harrison: I will get as much information as I can on those four, and try to find out the identity of the other three they are working with.

Harrison paused.

Harrison: Although, I am interesteed as to why they are here, and why they decided to focus on Nighthawk and Anaconda instead of helping you soldiers escape. We will not antagonize them, but the next time you see them, watch them carefully...see what they do, and find out who they are working with.

Harrison paused again.

Harrison: In any case, we must bring our attention back to why we are here. Our main objective is to continue to focus on efforts to get the civilian population out of the next city. We lost almost 65% of the entire population of White River when that Corvette broke our line...

Jacob shifted, he took a deep breath.

Harrison: Something that we cannot risk happening again. The city of Carver, about forty kilometers West of your current position, still contains a large majority of their civilian population. We need them brought to bunkers, spaceports, anything to keep them away from the Covenant and safe until we can start the evacuation. This is going to begin Phase 2 of our operation.

Harrison paused and received a PDA from one of his officers. He was reading through the information as he spoke to Jacob and the others.

Harrison: We are going to begin cooridinated assaults on Covenant ships from up here. ODST infiltration teams, hit and runs, nukes, the whole nine yards is going in on this. So as soon as we begin, you are to begin your evacuation of the civilian population to secure locations.

Harrison paused and pressed a few buttons, he transferred the locations to everyone's HUD and the holotable sitting in the center of the room.

Harrison: These are the areas that are secure and away from the Covenant's prying eyes. Move the civies here, keep the city on lockdown, and wait for my signal to evac them.

Harrison paused again.

Harrison: You are all doing an excellent job down there...so keep up the good work. I wish I could give you a break, but there is no time...we need to move fast if we are to save this planet.

Harrison paused.

Harrison: Captain Frost, until I am able to evac you, you are to remain on the ground, cooridinating ground efforts with myself and Commander Vernette.

Harrison paused one last time and looked to his terminal, he began to search for information on the Spartan-II's Cameron had mentioned.

Harrison: Commander Bovela and Cameron are to lead the main assault teams. Sergeant Athios, you are to get your squad prepped for an infiltration mission I will breif you about.

Jacob: And me, sir?

Harrison: Captain Sharpmen...I am going to need you for something else.

Harrison paused.

Harrison: Understood, everyone?

Meanwhile:

The Risk-Takers ran up the steps and into the HQ towards Black team.

Liam: Black 1...the underground tunnel is gone, we need a new route out of here.

Liam paused.

Liam: I am sure you already know that however.

Zephyr nodded and prepared to leave the tent.

Zephyr: Gentlemen.

As he walked out, he sent a private comm to Cameron.

Spartan, I suggest we separate into two groups to cover more area. Take a squad of marines on the base, I will organize a search and rescue team to move into the next city.

Zephyr sent a comm to HSK. Everybody strap up. Meet in the warthog bay in 30 minutes. We're begining phase 2 of our plan of action.

The commander walked to his private tent, restocking his ammo and checking weapons. Doing so he reached out to Roger and Robert.

This is Commander Bovela. I need you two to organize a squad of marines and become a search and rescue squad and move out through the city. Be warned, there will be patches of covenant. The priority is moving all survivors and civies out of the area.

He took a long pause.

After today, this planet will be covered by more death and rubble. We need to make sure those aren't innocent lives.

Robert: Alright, sir. We'll be on our way within ten minutes.

Robert and Roger salutes Zephyr, and heads out of the armory. Then they encounter a group of six marines.

Robert: You, marines. We're going to the city to save civillians. Orders from Commander Zephyr.

The marines doubted first, then they saluted and followed Robert to the vehicle section, where they would take two warthogs. Robert and Roger in a normal warthog, and the others in a warthog carrier. Then they drives for the city.

Zephyr remained in his tent for some time. He suddenly remembered Tye's knife wound and saw to it that a doctor saw him.

He inspected the airfield, gathering reports from officers making sure everything is okay.

Meanwhile:

Tye had left the briefing when everyone was dismissed by Admiral Harrison. He was currently sitting in one of the medical stations that had been set up. He was sitting, and waiting, for someone to get around to see him about his injury. He didn't mind waiting, as there were people in much worse shape than he was, that needed the attention.

However, after a few minutes, one of the field medics came around to see him.

Medic: I'm sorry for the delay sir...we have had our hands full with the amount of injuries.

Tyber: Don't worry about it son. I am in no real danger here.

Medic: We received an order to get you looked after a few moments ago. I am guessing you will be needed on the front lines...so we will get you looked after.

The medic saw the knife in Tye's arm.

Medic: How did this happen?

Tyber: Someone threw it at me.

Medic: I see...

The medic continued to examine Tye's arm.

Medic: Whoever threw this...threw this with a lot of force. That is really in there. Typically, Knives do not penetrated every layer of armor, and the skin, right down to the hilt.

Tyber: You don't say?

As the Medic continued to examine Tye, Jennifer approached Tye, and looked at him.

Jennifer: How are you doing?

Tyber: Not bad..getting a second opinion on the Knife deal.

Jennifer: That STILL has not been removed?

Tyber: They only got around to me now.

Jennifer sighed. She excused the Medic. The Medic stepped aside.

Tyber: What are you doing?

Jennifer: I'm going to remove it, and I am going to do it right now.

Jennifer grabbed the hilt of the throwing knife. She gave it a slight tug. Tye winced his eyes in response.

Jennifer: Are you alright?

Tyber: Yeah...I'm fine...I can just feel it rubbing against the bone when you do that...

Jennifer: I see. Well...do me a favor...

Tyber: What it is?

Jennifer: Don't bite your tongue...

Tyber: Why?

Just as Tye said this, Jennifer pulled the knife right out of his arm with one strong pull.

Tyber: Ahhh...Damn it!

Jennifer: No reason...I just wanted your mind to wander.

Tyber: Yeah...well...you could of warned me...

Just as Tye said this, Jennifer injected his wound with bio-foam.

Tyber: Damn it...Jennifer! Stop it!

Jennifer: Brisk...isn't it?

Tyber: No, it isn't!

Jennifer: Well...you're done anyway. On your feet. I'm clearing you for duty. Go get em' Tiger.

Tyber: Yeah...thanks.

Tye paused.

Tyber: You have a terrible bedside manner!

Jennifer: Well...typically my patients are gassed, knocked out, and I can see their brains. I don't usually have to put up with the chatter of my patients.

Tyber: Yeah...that is a GREAT excuse.

Tye sighed.

Tyber: Well...thanks for the help. I appreciate it.

Jennifer nodded in reply. She paused for a moment, and waited.

Jennifer: So...are you heading off to Carver with the others?

Tyber: Yeah...Harrison deployed a shitload of us out to Carver to evac and secure civilians. The Covenant is not there in full force yet.

Jennifer: I am sure you guys will be fighting the smaller battles for the first little while. Typically...The Covenant sends in smaller kill packs to scout an area. No doubt...Grunts, Jackals...perhaps an Elite or two.

Tyber: They are putting their foot in the water to see how hot it is.

Jennifer: An apt metaphor. That is exactly what they are doing. They are, no doubt, going to asses the strength of what we can muster in Carver.

Jennifer turned and walked away. She walked out of the medical station, and walked outside. Tye, grabbing his Helmet, and putting it under his arm, followed her.

Once outside, Jennifer looked off into the distance, and could see White Water.

Jennifer: White Water was the Crown Jewel of San Angeles. Now...it looks like a fire pit. In roughly a day...they destroyed everything. Look at all the smoke coming from those ruins. In that small area of this planet...the sun has been totally blotted out.

Tyber: It is tough to look at. However...I have come to learn one thing in this war; victories are bitter, and defeats are devastating. I have never felt good after a battle with The Covenant. There has always been a sense of guilt, a sense of faliure. Even when we drive them back, or defeat them...what do we have left? You can have some military bureaucrat pinning a star on your chest, saying "Well done old boy, you made us proud"...but...all you have to do...is look around...and see that everything that you knew was just utterly destroyed...and reduced to debris, dust, and rubble.

Tye paused.

Tyber: In the end of the day...the only thing that keeps me going...is the persistent search for the answer for the most difficult of all questions...

Tye paused.

Jennifer: What question is that?

Tyber: How many of these Alien motherfuckers can I fit into hell? I really hope there is no limit.

Jennifer didn't respond. She simply remained silent.

The two continued to look at White Water City, as the smoked bellowed upwards. After a few moments, however, Cameron approached the two.

Cameron: Commander?

Tye looked over at Cameron.

Tyber: Yes, Cam?

Cameron: We should get underway. Everyone is gearing up to make their way to Carver. I have taken the liberty of securing us a vehicle. May I also recommend that, before you leave, you restock on ammo.

Tyber: Good idea Cam.

Tye looked back at Jennifer.

Tyber: Stay safe. I'll be back.

Jennifer: Make sure that you do come back.
If you didn't...well...who would I exchange barbs with?

Tye shrugged. He put his helmet back on, and secured it to his armor.

Jennifer then looked at Cameron.

Jennifer: You too Cam...stay safe out there.

Cameron: I am never safe out there...however...it is safer for others when I am out there.

Jennifer: Well put.

Jennifer saluted. Tye and Cameron saluted back.

Jennifer: Alright Gentlemen...go show those Covenant bastards how The UNSC's finest gets the job done.

Tyber: With pleasure.

Tye and Cameron turned away. They proceeded to walk away, heading towards where everyone has gathered to prepare for the upcoming deployment to Carver.

Meanwhile:

Black 1 looked at Liam. He nodded.

Black 1: We were not going to use it anyway. All it would do is lead us into the arms of a bunch of pissed off UNSC soldiers who we tried to kill.

Black 1 paused.

Black 1: We signaled for The Ulterior Motive to pick us up, using one of our Stealth Pelicans. We are going to do a silent evac, report back to the Ulterior Motive, debrief Director Spender, and then prep for redeployment.

Black 2 chimed in.

Black 2: Our evac will be here in two minutes...waiting for us at the breach, in the southern quadrant of UNSC Regional HQ Bravo. We need to move!

Black 1 nodded. He looked at The Risk Takers, and saw that they were ready to move.

Black 1: Alright...lets go.

Black Team, readied their weapons, and took point. Black 1, lead both Black Team, and The Risk Takers through the corridors, leading them back up to the Inner Atrium. Black 1 then led them towards the southern quadrant of UNSC Regional HQ Bravo. The Massive breach in the buildings wall was very obvious.

Black 2: Go...through the breach! We are to wait outside.

Black 1 nodded, as he led everyone outside, via the large breach in the wall. As both teams exited Regional HQ Bravo, they could make visual confirmation that two Stealth Pelican;s were on their way to pick them up. Unlike Typical Pelicans, these Pelicans were plated in a black material, as opposed to the standard military olive. The plating was fundamentally similar to the plating used on Prowlers, such that, the plating was able to reflect scanning attempts and other forms of radar detection.

As the Pelicans got close, they both landed, and opened their reach hatches. ODST Black Team and The Risk Takers split up, with both teams taking a separate Pelican. Once both teams were loaded up, the Pelicans sealed their reach hatches, and lifted off. Both Pelicans proceeded to make their way back to The Ulterior Motive.
