Troy and Colby had already ran over to help Carmicle, dragging him against the warthog they were in. The Risk-Takers were keeping an eye on the perimeter, but Savannah and Liam both had their attention on Sergai. Liam interjected before things got any worse. Liam: Would someone just direct us to Nighthawk and Anaconda... Troy looked upwards, admiring the Spartans in front of him. Troy: Last I saw they were in the atrium...making their way around the area with Commander Vernette. Troy looked at Black 1. Troy: And to answer your question, sir. Yes...Commander Vernette is an ODST, like you guys. Meanwhile: Dangerus growled at Anaconda. Dangerus: I have enough of your talk...get out of my sight. Dangerus continued towards his brutes, walking away from Anaconda. Meanwhile: Jacob stayed behind the group, watching the area surrounding them. Everything was all clear for now, and the shooting had all died down. Hopefully, those at the evac point managed to hold the area a little while longer. Concurrently across the planet: Athios was desperately trying to contact the UNSC forces at the HQ or the airport. Athios: This is Sergeant Athios of the Suicide Squad. Does any UNSC force read this? Commander Vernette? Captain Frost? Athios paused, remembering the ODST that saved him and his squad in their first mission on the planet. Athios: Captain Sharpmen, do you copy?

[Erex]

Sergei looking at Liam. Sergei: Are you aware that there are Elites coming here as we speak? We need to provide our team a way out. And if you give me a gun I'll help....

[Hells Sniper]

Liam: Listen, Spartan. I'm here to do my job...and that's to get those two terrorists. If elites are on their way... Liam pointed to the tunnel. Liam: Then I would get going.

[Naked Crook]

Black 1 nodded in agreement with Liam. Black 1: Could not of said it better myself Liam. Alright then. Risk Takers...weapons up. Locate Nighthawk and Anaconda and terminate them with the utmost prejudice! Black 2 stepped forward. Black 2: Sir...what about us? Something tells me you have something else in mind. Black 2 shrugged. Black 1: Well...consider this a secondary objective...but Commander Vernette is still a traitor. Time does not change that fact. If you get the chance...kill him. The rest of black Team nodded. Black 1: Move out! Meanwhile: Tyber: Lets keep the chit chat to a minimum. Keep moving! Nightwawk followed the group, watching the rear with Jacob. He didn't say anything. In fact, he was unusually silent. Tye and Cameron continued to lead the group. They were covering a lot of ground in good time as they moved through the Sub-Basement corridors. Little did Tye know, he would soon be face to face with both ODST Black Team and The Risk Takers.

[Erex]

Sergei: I'm not leaving, if that means I have to use my Combat knife against elites I'll use it. Sergei curses in russian under his breath.

[Hells Sniper]

Liam: You heard the Colonel. Fan out! Search patterns, find the duo and let's end this! Liam separated his Spartan team into three groups, all within twenty feet of each other as they began a usual search pattern. Savannah and Liam were together down the middle. Jessica and Desmond were off to the left. While Lyle, Emma, and William were on the right side. Troy watched the Spartans leave, he was still in awe, not even worrying about their main objective. Seven-foot tall super soldiers, by God, he would do anything for a chance in one of those suits. Meanwhile: Jacob kept his sniper high, sweeping the area as the group moved. A few floors above: Dangerus regrouped with his brutes. Dangerus: Sub-basement. Now. Dangerus led his pack away from the control center, leaving a few brutes around the area to wrap up any other marines who came their way. Dangerus had four of his bodyguards and another six brutes with him; putting his numbers at 11. Concurrently: Athios heard nothing but static on the other. Athios: Goddamnit...I have nothing. Fuck! Athios paused. Athios: Something must be jamming their comms.

[Naked Crook]

Black Team took point. They stuck together, as they moved from the evac point, into the corridors of the Sub-Basement. Black Team moved swiftly, and very quietly. Their weapons were raised, and they were ready for a fight. Concurrently: Anaconda grunted. He knew he could no longer stall Dangerus. Anaconda simply backed up, and contacted Nighthawk. However, as he tried to do this, he found that the comms frequency had been scrambled. Anaconda knew something was terribly wrong, just by this fact alone. Without giving it a second thought, he quickly rushed past Dangerus, into the Sub-Basement. As Anaconda rushed past, several Brutes growled and snarled at him, as if they were cursing at Anaconda for his abrupt movements. This did not phase Anaconda. Instead, he simply engaged his active camo. He did not know what to expect in the Sub-Basement, but he knew that something must have happened if UNSC comm lines were jammed. Concurrently: Black Team continued to move. They were quickly approaching the stairwell that led back up to the Inner Atrium. However, as they got closer, they could hear the snarlng and growling of Brutes. Black 1 raised his hand, and everyone behind him stopped. Black 1: Bravo-Kilos. By the sound of it...multiple contacts. Black 2: If it is a full pack, we are looking at anywhere between six to fifteen contacts. Black 1 nodded. Black 1 turned around, and looked at The Risk Takers. Black 1: Black Team will handle Covenant contacts. I want you to continue as planned. Black 1 turned to face forward again. He could see the stairwell in the distance that led up to the Inner Atrium. He gestured his hands to signal ODST Black Team forward. Black 1 then turned back to Liam. Black 1: I suggest you sweep the rest of the Sub-Basement. If you cannot find them, link up with us, and we will sweep the ground floor, and move up as necessary. Black 1 then turned and proceeded with the rest of Black Team to engage Dangerus and his Brutes, who were nearing the Sub-Basement. Concurrently: Tye stopped in his tracks. Everyone could hear the sound of the Brutes growling and snarling. Cameron: Brutes. As soon as NIghthawk heard this, he tried to contact Anaconda. He got nothing but static. Nighthawk: I cannot raise Anaconda on the comm. Something is wrong. Nighthawk paused. Nighthawk: I think my signal is being jammed...bbecause I cannot even contact anything outside this immediate area. Tyber: So that is why I was never able to raise the evac point. We were being jammed. However...I was able to contact Sergai. Why? Nighthawk: You might of contacted him before the jamming was put into effect. Tyber: Possibly. Either way...we have Brutes coming our way. Jacob...up front, we are gonna need to push forward.

[Hells Sniper]

Jacob nodded and pulled the stock back on his sniper, sending the first bullet into the chamber. He walked forward and raised his sniper to eye level. He slowly began to walk forward. Meanwhile: Dangerus growled. He sniffed the air. Dangerus: Humans...lots of them. Dangerus sniffed again. Dangerus: And metal...not the usual kind. Their tin cans are here. Dangerus turned to his brutes. Dangerus: You six will push forward, the rest of us will engage active camo and move down the stairs. Dangerus and his bodyguards activated their camo and were the first to move forward, followed by the six brutes. One floor below: Liam nodded and Black 1 and motioned his team forward. Together the seven Spartans passed the stairwell and walked forward, passing the sign that pointed them to the infirmary. The corridor was getting a bit tighter as they approached the end of the stairwell. Liam: Stay close...eyes up. Liam kept walking. Lyle: Sir, I am getting multiple contacts on my radar. Counting...four, no, make that five, contacts. Friendlies. Liam: That's interesting. Continue onwards, let's see who these people are. Down the hallway, Jacob could see seven large figures approaching. He didn't know what they were as the lighting was extremely dark. Instead, he activated his thermal on the sniper rifle and saw seven Spartans walking down the hallway. He held up a fist. Jacob: Commander...Spartans down the hall...seven of them.

[Naked Crook]

Nighthawk stopped. He had heard what Jacob had said. Nighthawk: Are you sure? Seven of them? I was not expecting this. Nighthawk holstered his Magnum. He reached for his shotgun. Nighthawk: As they say...just a precaution. Nighthawk stopped in his tracks, and instead, started to fall back. Nighthawk: Keep moving forward. I will shadow you from a bit further behind. Meanwhile: Black Team approached the stairwell. THey paused, and held their position for a moment. Black 1 peered around the corner. Black 1: I don't see anything... Black 2 also peered around the corner. Black 2: Perhaps they have active camo? Black 1 nodded. Black 1: Black 3...get your thermal going. If you spot anything...don't hesitate to fire! Black 3 nodded. He switched his VISR mode to Thermal. As he did this, he switched places with Black 2, and peered around the corner. Just as he did, he saw several Brutes coming their way. He raised his Sniper Rifle, and put a round square int he head of one of the Brutes. Black 3: Contacts! Active Camo is confirmed! All points, switch to Thermal!

[Hells Sniper]

Jacob looked behind him and saw Nighthawk fall back a bit. As he did this, Jacob turned to Tye and whispered. Jacob: Sir, with all due respect...these are Spartans and they could be here to help him. I'd rather not have Nighthawk shooting at them all... Meanwhile: Dangerus growled. He and his brutes reached the bottom of the stairwell. They turned to Black team and began to fire at them, pushing most of them into cover. By now, the other six brutes had come down as well and were reinforcing the team that went down. Most of them were behind cover, switching off firing patterns to keep Black team contained.
