Blue Bomber: I'm hurrying...I'm hurrying... The Blue Bomber walked over to his uneven shelf, which was a few feet away form his mixing bathtub. He scanned the shelves for something, until he snapped his finger, and he grabbed a hold of something. When he did, 1 dropped from the shelf, and scurried away into the hole BB made when he stomped his foot. He grunted, as he pulled something, that appeared to be a satchel. He then tried to blow off the dust from it, but he couldn't, since he still had his helmet on. It didn't seem like he noticed. Blue Bomber: This is where I keep my resumes...examples of "work", and junk. He dropped the leather satchel on the ground. Blue Bomber: Alright...now all I need is my poncho. Do you guys want one? They come in black. And they're pretty clean, as far as ponchos ganked from an orphanage storeroom go.

Tylan reports to the Ship Refit and saw the draco nearly complete with the repairs. Tylan: Whats the status? Engineer: Well Commander the ship took some serious damage, You going into Slip in system took a toll on the ship sir. But we fixed it. We just barely got all the radiation out of the ship, and looked into the ship the structure was damaged, so we had to fix bulkheads 65 - 99, Bulkhead 88 actually collapsed, and we got that fixed. The ship's Radiation filters were damaged so thats why it was leaking and we finally got all of the armor plating on it, I say the ship be done in 2 -3 days tops sir. Tylan: Very good, good work on the ship. Engineer: Its my job, I take pride in what I do, on bulkhead 88 in that area that was most severe damage area, we actually know that part of the ship may be weaker than the others so we put on ablative armor on that section of the ship when we realized the Bulkhead 88 integrity was perfectly sound. We actually are in the process of fixing your Electronic Warfare systems, and replaced a total of 32 Deck Guns on the ship, Only a single deck gun was still operational and undamaged. Tylan: Wow you guys work fast. Engineer: Well we got word from ONI they want the Draco out and repaired ASAP, and we still are working on the Goldbane took more damage than you, but Goldbane was placed Priority over the Draco we are nearly complete with your ship sir. Can I ask you a question though Commander? Why the hell do you have another ship when you got the Second Chance destroyed? I actually helped build it, and you there fucked up sir. Tylan: Hayes, gave me another chance, and even I know when you are given a second chance, don't screw up. Getting the Second Chance destroyed was the worst mistake I made, the other worst mistake was I abondoned it, even though I knew the people still onboard were already dead. If the Draco goes down, I'll be in my Captains seat and pray to God I go down like man. Engineer: Wow, well chit chat is over sir, my Coffee break has expired and now I'm working on repairs.

[Kairu]

Rewill and Edward were sitting in the bar on the Kings Raven. They were eating for what they felt was the first time in a long time. They were fairly silent while eating, neither one of them really devouring their meals. Edward: "I just can't help but think why Thomas had to resort to such an action that he chose. I mean, was he scared? He could have played his hand right and he'd be let go from a future hearing. He could have easily gotten away and stayed free. And I doubt James would have blamed him. I just don't get it..." Rewill: "And we never will. Don't forget there was alcohol there too. He was likely not thinking rationally. For all we know, he'd been planning this since ONI first contacted Aurigae VI. Maybe even overthrowing the Aurigae VI government with or without ONI ever entering the picture. Am I justifying his actions? No, but we'll never know the truth. It's just something we have to accept. I sure hope James will find his closure. His emotional break on the Pelican isn't a good sign for a squad leader." Edward: "And who should take control of the squad should James have an episode in combat? I would have said Aelis, but her attachment to James would easily cloud her judgement." Rewill: "If James was to have one of these 'episodes' in combat... presuming he wouldn't be shot and killed because he became helpless, I would say we continue to act as a team. I have faith in Aelis and James though. If something was to happen to James, I think Aelis would be fit for command. I mean, did you see how she handled against Trust Elite? She was more than capable. He anger gives her an even better focus. We just need to make sure she doesn't overdo it." Edward: "Why do you not sound so reassuring?" Rewill: "I don't know, but I do have faith in us. We helped Captain Hayes save the day. With or without James, we are still capable. In time, I'm sure we'll be recognized for our talents. You'll be promoted in no time, Private!" The two started to laugh heartily. They began to eat their meals faster than before. The joke seemed to inspire both of them and they felt a little better about themselves and the morale of Sigma Squad.

[Hells Sniper]

Harrison was sitting in the observation deck, staring into space. He had seen the King Raven II come back into the system, but continued to sit there. Shadow materialized on the deck moments later. Shadow: Admiral...Captain Hayes, Admiral Burke, and Director Vernette must know of this. Harrison nodded. Harrison: Send a message to the Captain and the Admiral, I must speak with them at once. Shadow: Message sent, Admiral. Harrison nodded. Harrison: We don't even have his tags Shadow... Shadow: We have his uniform...his weapons...his room is full of his items. Harrison: Personal items...until Dallas is ready to go through it all...it remains off-limits. Shadow nodded. Shadow: I understand Admiral. I will seal the room. Meanwhile: The Trust prowler had managed to make it past the ONI fleet. It had engaged it's slipspace drive and jumped to meet with the Ulterior Motive. Lisa was sitting in the bay across from Jacob, who was tied up and sitting down. Jacob moaned a few times before awakening, seeing Lisa in front of him. Lisa: You're scars are remarkable...especially that eye. Jacob frowned, he just stared at Lisa. Lisa: Still upset I can see....you should want to put a smile on your face! We'll be meeting Kolya in an hour or so. Jacob: I am sure he'd appreciate the scars. Lisa: Well, he did give them to you...I'm sure he'd want to see the damage done. Jacob turned away, he knew they were in slipspace and their was a Trust squad on the prowler. He had no escape, no way to take over the prowler, no way to leave the confines of the Trust. Jacob just sat there, helpless. Jacob: The destroyer is gone then? Lisa: Our engineers know their job. Jacob: So, I'm "dead." Jacob returned to face Lisa, who just nodded. Jacob frowned again...his brother, Harrison, Tiffany, the Agents...even Vernette. They would all find out he died and they wouldn't even know he was alive.

The Derelict Drops out of slip at Ulterior Motive's location. Seth: This is Seth with the hijacked ONI Transport Derelict I've brought us some nice toys, and a ONI Data Module for you guys. Seth waits for a confirmation.

[Naked Crook]

HAWK: Sir...we have a priority 1 message from Admiral Harrison. He wishes to speak to both you and Burke right away. Hayes: In person or... HAWK: In person. Right away. Hayes: Probably a debrief. They must of found something rather interesting... Hayes stood up. Hayes: Very well. Inform the Crimson Shadow that I am on my way. Hayes left the bridge of The King Raven, and made his way towards The Hanger Bay. Like the many times before, Hayes boarded a Pelican, and was dispatched to The Crimson Shadow. While the Pelican made its journey, Hayes paced back and firth in the passenger bay. He felt uneasy. He had never known Harrison to provide such little information about why he requested a moment of someone's time. On the other hand...Hayes had only recently started running joint ops with Harrison, a time frame that was comparatively microscopic to the amount of time Harrison had been in the military. Hayes thought that he was being too anxious. He couldn't shake the feeling that there was an unpleasant surprise waiting for him. Hayes' Pelican landed about 10 minutes after its departure. The Pelican docked in the hanger bay of The Crimson Shadow. Hayes left the Pelican and walked through the corridors of The Crimson Shadow, until he came to an elevator. Hayes pressed the button to summon the lift, and he began to wait. It was not but a few moments later, that he was tapped on the shoulder. Hayes turned, and saw Admiral Burke. Hayes: Admiral... Burke: Captain... The two men gave each other a nod. Hayes: So...do you know what this is about? Burke: I think this has to do with something about that Trust Destroyer that exploded. Harrison sent a team over to recover some data. From what I understand...his team made it back before the ship went critical... Hayes: Very good... Burke: Indeed. I guess Harrison is just going to debrief us. Burke sighed. Burke: Which is what I find odd... Hayes: What do you mean sir? Burke: I dunno...but the atmosphere on this ship feels...grim. Hayes: I dunno why...but I feel the same thing. Coincidence? Burke: Could be...or it could simply be battle fatigue...it could be the stress...the pressure... Hayes: Could be any number of things. The elevator doors opened. The two officers walked into the elevator. Burke pressed the button with the number 1 on it. The doors closed, and the elevator began to move. Burke: The Trust knows how to wear people down. They are like a cancer...slowly killing you...weakening you. They have always been trouble. What makes it worse is that with Lucien, or Kolya, as we have come to call him these days, at the helm of The Trust...it is like a Nightmare come to fruition... Hayes: Who exactly was Lucien...Kolya...whatever his name is? I know he was a Spartan at one point...still is...but...what else is there? Burke: He was too good for his own good...that is...too skilled for his own good. Moraity wise...he is the opposite of good. In my opinion...he is worse than Lucifer. At least the Devil will try to be your friend until he knifes you in the back and pulls you into the pit of fire. At least he tempts you with nice things...fast cars and fast women. Kolya...he is your enemy from the first second you meet him...he never even tries to be your friend. I have no doubt that every member of The Trust means nothing to him. He as as much emotional attachment to his soldiers as he does his bullets. In the end...anything in Kolya's sphere will be used to try and kill you. Burke shook his head. Burke: All these years I thought he was locked up...but he was right in front of us...working for The Trust. How foolish could we be? Hayes sighed. He hung his head. There was a very tense silence for the last few moments as the elevator door opened. Hayes: After you...sir... Burke nodded and walked out of the elevator, and headed for the Observation Deck with Hayes in tow.

[Hells Sniper]

Harrison was standing at the end of the Observation Deck when he heard Admiral Burke and Captain Hayes entered. He immediately turned and nodded at the two. Harrison: Captain, Admiral, I am glad to see you two came. Harrison paused. Harrison: I have some...news.

Hayes: What sort of news sir?

Harrison was unsure of how to say this, he knew both Hayes and Burke had served with Jacob. Even after 40 years of this, he never got any better at it...it was just that sort of thing. Harrison: As you both know, I sent a team aboard the Trust destroyer that exploded a half hour or so ago. The team returned with the data, except they were missing one member. Harrison paused. Harrison: Agent Jacob Sharpmen never returned from the mission, no word from him has been received thus far. Harrison paused again. Harrison: Jacob is presumed to be killed in action.

Both Hayes and Burke looked at each other. They were both taken aback by what was just. Burke was at a lass for words. He was still trying to process what had been said to him. Hayes, on the other hand, look back at Harrison. He could only think of one thing to say. Hayes: What?
