[Halo] New! Halo RPG Pt. 11

[Erex]

Tylan engages the slipstream drive and follows it hoping to get to a Trust location.

[Erex]

Nero walks permission to board the bridge? meanwhile Tylan:Ensign you let me know the moment we exit slipstream you hear. Galen:Aye sir Tylan:And make sure those gunners are not trigger happy. Galen:They are called gunners for a reason si tylan:And that is Galen: They dont have to be accurate so long as they throw flak.

[Naked Crook]

Meanwhile: Back on the bridge of the King Raven, Vernette looked at Hayes, and then back at everyone else. Vernette: Well...I think we should allow Rodney to get settled on his new ship... Burke: Very well...I am going to return to the Dreadhawk...I am going to make sure that we will be prepared to go ASAP. Tyber: Preston...we will head back to the Cloak and Dagger... Vernette nodded. Everyone left the bridge except for Vernette and Hayes. Vernette looked at the command chair of the King Raven and put his hand on the head rest. Vernette: When the first King Raven was destroyed...I never thought I would ever see another one like her. The first thing that went through my mind was...well...that I would never sit in this chair again. Vernette sat down in the command chair. Vernette: The first time I sat here...was 35 years ago. My first command as the CO of the King Raven was..."all hands to battle stations...". I took a brand new ship...fresh off the assembly line...and I took it into battle with The Trust. I went toe to toe with The first iteration of the Ulterior Motive...and I won. And now...here we stand...35 years later...as the second iteration of the Ulterior Motive is going to go toe to toe with another fresh off the assembly line King Raven...with a brand new CO who for all intents and purposes can match me in every way. Vernette sighed. Vernette: I cannot think of a better man to command the King Raven...then you...Rodney... Hayes: I appreciate the vote of confidence... Vernette stood up. Vernette: The King Raven belongs to you now Rodney. This is your ship now. My time on this bird has come and gone. Vernette paused. Vernette: If I may...a word of advice...from one CO to another? Hayes: By all means... Vernette: Whatever you do in your career...don't ever leave this ship. Don't let ONI transfer you, don't let them reassign you...don't even let them promote you if it means taking you off the bridge of this ship...because while you are here...this is where you can make a difference...this is where I made a difference. Hayes nodded. He sighed. Hayes: Serving with you...has been an honor... Hayes extended his hand. Vernette laughed and shook hayes' hand. Vernette: The honor was mine...Captain. Vernette turned and walked away. He stopped before he exited the bridge of the King Raven. Vernette: Rodney...one more thing... Hayes: Yes? Vernette: Don't blindly follow orders...not from anyone. If someone orders you to do something that is against your code of ethics and morals...disobey that order... Hayes: I intend to...

[Erex]

Galen: Sir you told me to alert you when we exit slipstream. Tylan just waking up. Tylan: Ok it better be good Galen: That phoenix is attacking another Medical Ship. I'd advise ONI Tylan messages ONI Command Tylan: This is Tylan of the ONI Ship Second Chance, we have a situation. Recall all Medical ships it looks like trust is targetting any weak ships to get their point across sir. And if not you need to have an escort with each ship.

[Naked Crook]

Vernette returned to the bridge of the Cloak and Dagger. Vernette: Status report... Banks: Well...we have been keeping tabs on the ONI Net...and we have recieved reports about the Trust attacking Medical transports... Vernette: Medical ships? Why? Banks: No clue sir...but Section 1 is recalling all ships back to ONI controlled territory. Vernette sighed. Vernette: Keep me informed... Vernette turned to leave the bridge, but he stopped when he heard Chuck speak to him. Chuck: Sir...we have a new report coming in...another medical ship is under attack... Vernette: Where? Chuck: Sector 429. The ONI Info Net says we have 1 ship in that system...a Section 1 ship...The Second Chance... Vernette: Order them to engage the Hostile Trust ship.

[Erex]

Tylan recieves the orders Tylan: Engage the ship... All hands on deck, report to battlestations I repeat report to battle stations. As the orders where heard on board, the 50mm Point Defense guns open fire on the Trust ship. Tylan: Fire everything! Galen: Our stealth generator has disengaged. Tylan: Time to use Keye's Loop then.

[Naked Crook]

The Trust Pheonix Class turned away from the medical ship and turned to towards The Second Chance. The Pheonix Claa brought all of its weapons to point as it began to target The Second Chance with a full barrage of Archer Missiles. The number of missiles fired was simply overwhelming for any point defense system to counter.

[Erex]

The second chance attempts to move but gets hit in the aft section. Galen: Sir we are venting atmosphere on deck 6 through twelve. Tylan: Contact the medical ship if they can still move get them out of here. Galen, set a course for ramming. Tactical Officer: Firing Missiles, opening fire. MAC cannon Online firing Ship systems: Alert Alert atmosphere is at 80% and dropping. Tylan: Kill the trust ship's engines firing everything towards those engines buy the medical ship some time. Lets give them hell! Medical Ship: This is Medical Ship Harmony we are engines are still online, thanks for the help we are getting out of here! As the medical ship's slipspace drive engages they exit the system to a ONI safe zone. Tylan: Kill that Ship!

[Naked Crook]

The Trust Phoenix class ship fires another barrage of missiles, knocking the Second Chance's MAC gun out of commission. After hitting the second chance with a third barrage, the Pheonix class breaks off, and moves away...not wanting to spend the ammunition on a disabled ship. The Pheonix class begins to move off.

[Erex]
