And do you think that the media has the people's well being in mind? Erex, I am part of a fandom that is often targeted by the media. They ALWAYS have an agenda. Trust me when I say that the media cares crap about actual news (except for New York Post, IIRC they go out of their way to correct any mistakes in any of their publishings). The only thing that the media cares about these days are money and ratings, both of which you get with takedowns, not build-ups. If forming a complete picture of the situation so I can make an informed decision means sifting through 500 pages of text, I WILL do it. Laziness will only harm our nation.
Also, I'm seeing so much ad hominem in your arguments. It's one of the very reasons why I distrust the media so badly.
