Korman Industries Prototype This weapon was a prototype for a new generation of weapons that were being designed by Korman Industriesin the early 2520s. ONI had a contract with Korman Industires, and due to poor reception of Korman Industries and their developments, the contract was scrapped and project was undertaken by ONI insiders, namely Preston J. Vernette. THis weapon was destroyed in 2525, when it fell apart during a test. UNSC Variant Like all UNSC grade weapons, the MA5C Assault Rifle was recycled for private use by ONI Peacekeepers. It maintains all of the UNSC era specifications but lacks the ONI specific upgrades. Director Vernette's Personal Notes MA5C Assault Rifles are the standard weapon for field ops. They are used by security forces and Marines alike. It makes a good suppression weapon and, when used in small bursts, can make an excellent pin-point weapon to eliminate lightly armored hostiles. This is a support weapon, first and foremost, and there should always be other soldiers with more precise weapons to finish a job that the Assault Rifle cannot.
