Aquilinus rubbed his temples.

Quadratus rode up to him. He knelt before him.

Aquilinus: Rise.

Quadratus: My lord. I am sorry, we failed you.

Aquilinus: Quadratus, what happened?

Quadratus: We did all we could...but halfway into the battle, they sent fire upon us. Destroying almost half a legion. We could do nothing, forced to retreat. My scouts had no time to signal you.

Aquilinus: We lost a lot Quadratus. A legion and a half of men.

Quadratus: I apologize, Emperor.

Aquilinus: Now..we guard Rome. And we hope we can bring ourselves back.

Ambrosius still patrolled along the gate. Waiting for any sign of Marcus or his legion

Quadratus: We already have a legion and a half of soldiers guarding Rome. We lost contact with sixty-two settlements, and six other cohorts. Scouts suggest the Rebels are preparing for an assault. Already building siege equipment.

Aquilinus: Fools...the archers shall protect our walls. And our legionnaires and Calvary will protect our land. Quadratus, prepare the Elitists.

Quadratus grinned.

Quadratus: About time they saw some action.

Aquilinus looked at Quadratus as he left.

Meanwhile:

The Rebels began their march on Rome, gathering hundreds of ohers on their way.

Meanwhile:

Carbo gathered the prisoners. He looked at Critos.

Carbo: Centurion, get these men moving.

Ambrosius rode up to Aquilinus and asked, Emperor, Sir. I don't think my legion will be here in time. I wish to request for a temporary legion.

Aquilinus: Well were are they? I don't care what you do...but find your legion. You may command a COHORT. Not a legion.

Meanwhile:

Quadratus walked through Rome, towards the Collesuem.

Thank you, My Lord. And my legion... I don't know. They were suppose to be here.
