Ambrosius was transfixed on the legionnaire's eyes. For whatever reason he could see that man's life in his eyes, or perhaps a mirror reflection of his own. He snapped back into reality. He pushed the dead body aside, and began a mad flurry of swings at Carbo.

Carbo lauged, dodging and blocking each swing. He stopped a final one and kicked Ambrosius in the gut. He laughed again, and struck Ambrosius in the back of the helmet with the butt of his sword.

Ambrosius quickly blacked out from the blow, seeing the moving feet, blood and bodies in his eyesight.

Carbo was about to strike down on Ambrosius, when a cavalry rider charged. Carbo rolled out of the way, and finally figured the rebels were getting beat.

Carbo: Fall back! Back to the mountain.

Suddenly, as they began to retreat, Rebel Calvary charged down from the mountain.

A Roman Centurion under Ambrosius' tutelage found him and asked for a legionnaire to help take him to the medical tent for recovery before something can happen to him.

The rebel calvary hit the left side of the Romans. Scattering them and giving the rebels time to retreat.

Aristides decided to fight out a little longer for the rest of his legion to escape safely when out of nowhere, a Roman cavalry unit came by and took his head off.

Quadratus' legion fought hard against the rebels, who were being pushed back, little by little.

Quadratus spotted the decapitation of a legionnaire, he rode towards Aulus. Bringing his spear up, ready to strike him.

Carbo saw this and fired an arrow, causing Quadratus to jump off his horse and land in front of Aulus. He drew his sword and shield.

Meanwhile:

Aquilinus' legion slowly began to move up the mountain.

Meanwhile:

Vetus retreated inside a cavern, with a guard, away from the fight.
