Graphics Card

So I am looking for a graphics card for my desktop. and I am on newegg. I just don't know what I want or what I should get vs the price. Any comments?

Use a program called Everest Home to determine the model number of your Motherboard, then google search it for the exact specifications

So would you suggest that I just rebuild the desktop with a new mobo since it's super old? It's still running XP and has the worse graphics card possible and prolly crappy RAM and Processor as well. Would that be a more effective method to apply?

Well my computer still runs XP...I prefer XP because its a lightweight OS on my monster rig. but yeah...rebuild the entire thing.

You need the following: Motherboard and everything below needs to be compatible with your motherboard Ram GPU CPU Everything below is basically your pick PSU (ensure it has SATA connections) HDD (most modern motherboards no longer support Parallel ATA so you may need a SATA drive) Optical Drive (most modern motherboards no longer support Parallel ATA so you may need a SATA drive)

So you suggest just starting down the list? And I already have a SATA drive. It's what I'm using now. x)
