Jacob stayed with the rest of Black team, flying in alongside each of them. He, for all intents and purposes, had nothing he could do. He desperately wanted to get a message out to Harrison, but if Black team even so much as suspected that, he would be dead. He had to bide his time, hope that at some point, some time he'd have the time to send a message off. Jacob only hoped that the UNSC would understand when he came back, he was acting on his own. Even if they forgave him, the UNSC would still discharge him, or worse; demote him. Jacob only hoped that the connections he made in the past would help him now. That people like Harrison, Frost, or even Preston Vernette could convince the UNSC to let him stay. Meanwhile: The Risk-Takers left the Ulterior Motive and headed towards the Apex facility.
