Tye was reading Jacob's and Liam's body language. Tye shifted his eyes around the room. He noticed the terminal that was behind Liam and Jacob. He then noticed how Jacob's attention had shifted to the terminal. Tye then began to listen to Jacob's excuses. He knew that Jacob was stalling for time. The question was...what was he stalling for. Tyber: Oh yes...I remember full what those two have done. Let's recap. Tye paused. Tyber: They saved you in White Run. They saved Jennifer from The UNSC Airbase when it was overrun by The Covenant. They saved me from a Carpet Bombing that Harrison had called in. By saving me, they also helped save Lt. Commander Cochraine. They saved us again from The Covenant in Carver by calling in that airstrike. They gave us unmitigated access to the Covenant Battle Net, they are even helping us take down this facility...and they are not done helping us! Tye stepped forward. He tightened the grip on his Automag. He kept it aimed at Liam. Tyber: Now, let's list of The Trust's resume...and contrast. What has The Trust done? They crashed our operation at Regional HQ BRavo, where they tried to kill me. They tried to kill you for nothing more than a data chip. They are here now, killing good men and women who were only doing their job. Last, but certainly not least...The Trust brought The Covenant here, to San Angeles, for reasons we cannot explain, and for reasons they refuse to tell us about. The Trust is the reason we are fighting The Covenant on San Angeles. The Trust is the reason all those civilians died in White Run. The Trust is the reason why so many of your friends and fellow soldiers are DYING! Tye stepped forward again. Tyber: I don't think this is about Nighthawk and Anaconda. No, this doesn't add up. I am a hell of a lot smarter than you give me credit for. Tye scoffed, as his voice was filled with a loathing and a total disgust. Tyber: Why are you helping them!? What did they promise you!? What are you trading your loyalty and career for!? What do they have to offer that is worth MORE than the lives and respect of EVERYONE you have EVER served with!? If you cannot answer that question Jacob, then I am ORDERING you to turn your weapon on THAT piece of shit...and BLOW his head off! Tye gestured at Liam as he said his last statement. Tyber: If you don't carry out that order...I swear to God I will turn my gun on you, and I will kill you where you stand! Tye was furious. His finger hovered over the trigger, pressing it halfway down, ready to change his target as quickly as anyone could flinch.
