At Starbase 97: * Explosions continued to echo throughout the starbase, fires were raging, death everywhere, non-stop pandemonium. Pa'aleia continued to shoot the invaders while observing her own soldiers, those whom she regarded as her best, had their wills broken and fear instilled into them. * She managed to slip away. There was no hope in fighting. She prayed for a miracle and none was answered. She figured th'Zarath was still engaged with Klingons at Brisa VII before being able to come back. She looked out at the large Klingon fleet still bombarding the station. She then noticed a flash of light, then several more, and even more. * Ships were warping in at a distance but they were too far away for Pa'aleia to recognize whose side they were on. She logically deduced the ships were Klingon reinforcements from Brisa VII. Her morale was getting lower and lower until a familiar voice rung out of her commbadge. * th'Zarath: "General Pa'aleia, are you there? This is Fleet Admiral th'Zarath, please respond." * Pa'aleia was pleased to hear th'Zarath. * Pa'aleia: "Admiral, the Klingons have overrun the Starbase! We can't hold out here any longer! Please get us out!" * th'Zarath: "We will do our best to punch a hole to get you all out. Fall back to the promenade and hold out. We'll keep you aprised, th'Zarath out." * th'Zarath then focused himself on the Klingon ships that broke off from the bombardment and intercepting the Federation fleet. * th'Zarath: "th'Zarath to the Fleet, prepare to fire on the Klingons. Target the lead ship, concentrate all firepower." * The Federation ships moved into attack formation. The Heart of the Aenar was leading the assault. The Aquarius escort was already detached from the Odyssey cruiser and keeping close to it's host ship. Behind the Aenar was three Sovereign-class battleships and multiple Galaxy-class cruisers. Supporting the fleet were several Luna-class ships and several Defiant-class ships. When the ships were in range, the phasers were fired. The smaller ships sped forward and began mixing in with the Klingon ships, attempting to distract them. * The lead ship was destroyed quickly as the Klingon fleets returned fire. The battle continued outside of the spacestation and Pa'aleia managed to rally the remaining MACO soldiers on the Promenade. Pa'aleia tried radioing th'Zarath but was unable to get through the interference from the Klingons. * Another barrage struck the spacestation, blowing out a portion of the central spire containing the main turboshaft. The situation continued to worsen.
