"Everybody lies."

"If you can't annoy somebody, there's little point in writing."

"Wow, I'm surprised. You're trying to recruit me? I'm speechless. It does sound like it would be interesting, but I'm going to have to pass, cause as much as I hate to say it, I'm not a team player."

"Therefore, one should only have a glimpse into the mirror, not stare into it."

"Ironically enough and more often than not, the most efficient way to find the truth is through lying."

"There's nothing more pleasurable than arguing with someone who actually knows what the hell they're talking about."

"People call me a feminist whenever I express sentiments that differentiate me from a doormat or a prostitute."

"The peace you great nations enjoy only exists precariously atop the sacrifices of us small nations. To us, your peace means violence. Just by living, people hurt others without even realizing it. So long as humanity exists, hate will also exist. True peace cannot exist in this cursed world."

"I think, therefore I'm single."

"A pessimist is what you get when an optimist refuses to let them be a realist."

"The only people who see Nihilism as a self-defeating argument are the imbeciles who still have something to believe in."

"When they say ‘You’re always unhappy,’ what they mean is ‘You think, Daria, I can tell because you don’t smile. Now this guy died, and it’s making me think, and that hurts my little head and makes me stop smiling. So, tell me how you cope with thinking all the time, Daria, until I can get back to my normal vegetative state’."

"The worst form of inequality is to try to make unequal things equal."

"Real misanthropes are not found in solitude, but in the world; since it is experience of life, and not philosophy, which produces real hatred of mankind."

"Purchasing each and every new game as it comes out isn't that cool, nor does it automatically 'level you up' to having some diverse and insightful commentary to make on games as a whole. You only need to have passionately played a few to 'get it'. If all you're doing is showcasing that you have money that's probably better off spent elsewhere---shut the fuck up."

"The absurd curve runs analogous to the uncanny valley. Positivism and Neoclassism are still raping society. It's happening right now. You're reading this quote from an angry black kid as an illustrious idea is being sexually assaulted. Art was abusively raised by religion, and science --- no less the same with politics. Now they exist as nothing more than the wraiths of Liquid and Solid Snake."

"What you don't necessarily realize when you start selling your time by the hour is that what you're actually selling is your life."

"Let us add that the clear-sightedness of the misanthropic intellectual has, in and of itself, something antisocial about it. To take as the theme for one’s irony the common and average human stupidity means treating without respect a social value of the first order. Stupidity is the stuff of the prejudices without which no social life is possible. It is the cement of the social edifice. 'Stupidity', said Dr. Anatole France’s Trublet, 'is the first good of an ordered society.' Social conventions only survive thanks to a general stupidity that envelops, supports, guarantees, protects, and consecrates the stupidity of individuals. This is why critical, ironic, and pessimistic intelligence is a social dissolvent. It is irreverent towards that which is socially respectable: mediocrity and stupidity. It attacks respect and credulity, the conservative elements of society."

"Women are the only exploited group in history to have been idealized into powerlessness."

"The surest way to corrupt a youth is to instruct him to hold in higher esteem those who think alike than those who think differently."

"I cannot believe in a God who wants to be praised all the time."

"The only thing more thankless than writing about games is making them."

"They’re so hypocritical, emphasizing a lifestyle based on consumption is the ultimate violence against poor countries."

"There are wise people who talk ever so knowingly and complacently about "the working classes," and satisfy themselves that a day's hard intellectual work is very much harder than a day's hard manual toil, and is righteously entitled to much bigger pay. Why, they really think that, you know, because they all know about the one, but haven't tried the other. But I know all about both; and as far as I am concerned, there isn't money enough in the universe to hire me to swing a pickaxe thirty days, but I will do the hardest kind of intellectual work for just as near nothing as you can cipher it down--and I will be satisfied, too. Intellectual "work" is misnamed; it is a pleasure, a dissipation and its own highest reward. The poorest paid architect, engineer, general, author, sculptor, painter, lecturer, advocate, legislator, actor, preacher, singer, is constructively in heaven when he is at work; and as for the magician with the fiddle-bow in his hand who sits in the midst of a great orchestra with the ebbing and flowing tides of divine sound washing over him--why certainly, he is at work, if you wish to call it that, but lord, it's a sarcasm just the same. The law of work does seem utterly unfair--but there it is, and nothing can change it: the higher the pay in enjoyment the worker gets out of it, the higher shall be his pay in cash, also. And it's also the very law of those transparent swindles, transmissible nobility and kingship."

"Nothing is more delightful than to confuse and upset people. People one doesn't like. What's the use of giving them explanations that are merely food for curiosity? The truth is that people love nothing but themselves and their little possessions, their income, their dog. This state of affairs derives from a false conception of property. If one is poor in spirit, one possesses a sure and indomitable intelligence, a savage logic, a point of view that can not be shaken."

"Einstein found solace in truth, beauty, and kindness. I agree with two of those."

"Saying there’s a time and place for truth is extremely childish and naïve next to the reality that there are only times and places for lies."

"Liberal capitalism is not at all the good of humanity. Quite the contrary; it is the vehicle of savage, destructive nihilism."

"Resistance is feasible even for those who are not heroes by nature, and it is an obligation, I believe, for those who fear the consequences and detest the reality of the attempt to impose American hegemony."

"I despise a lot of people’s happiness. Not because I don’t want them to be happy—simply because there are certain types that frustrate me, because they’re excruciatingly Hallmark, WalMart, McDonald’s happiness. I won’t hold it against them, though. It’s really none of my concern, anyway, so I turn away and rest in my own state of a happy sort of mixed sadness. I always have enjoyed the shades of gray."

"Sadness is the amount of people who can't deal with being detested."

"Destroy first, and construction will look after itself."

"It is by examples not by arguments that crowds are guided."

"I can read people's minds. In my lifetime I have read the pasts, presents, and futures of thousands upon thousands of men and women. And each mind that I peered into was stuffed with the same single object of obsession. That selfish and atavistic desire to pass on one's seed... it was enough to make me sick. Every living thing on this planet exists to mindlessly pass on their DNA. We're designed that way. And that's why there is war. But you... you are different... You're the same as us. We have no past, no future. We live in the moment. That's our only purpose. Humans weren't designed to bring each other happiness. From the moment we're thrown into this world, we're fated to bring each other nothing but pain and misery."

"The mark of someone not questioning their own beliefs is revealed at their irrational anger of someone else doing it."

"See grandpa? That's called exposure and with enough of it, we can change the world."

"I'd much rather be a curious idiot than a humble moron."

"Morality is but the herd-instinct in the individual."

"True enlightenment is not photogenic."

"We are a culture without the will to seriously examine our own problems. We eschew that which is complex, contradictory or confusing. As a culture, we seek simple solutions. We enjoy being provoked and titillated, but resist the rigorous, painstaking examination of issues that might, in the end, bring us to the point of recognizing our problems, which is the essential first step to solving any of them."

"Dude, don't ask me questions that you've already answered for yourself."

"The destructive character sees nothing permanent. But for this very reason he sees ways everywhere. Where others encounter walls or mountains, there, too, he sees a way. But because he sees a way everywhere, he has to clear things from it everywhere. Not always by brute force; sometimes by the most refined. Because he sees ways everywhere, he always stands at a crossroads. No moment can know what the next will bring. What exists he reduces to rubble – not for the sake of rubble, but for that of the way leading through it."

"Communicate ideas while minimizing your ego, make sure you only pack enough knowledge to remain efficiently mobile, and understand at all times that you're standing on the will of someone else."

"No system has ever as yet existed which did not in some form involve the exploitation of some human beings for the advantage of others."

"What we call the Enlightenment and hold on to only tenuously, by our fingernails, is the slow-dawning understanding that the world is unfolding according to its own inner algorithms of cause and effect, probability and chance, without any regard for human feelings."

"I'm not going to live there...There's no place for me there, any more than there is for you. Malcom, I'm a monster. What I do is evil, I have no illusions about that but it must be done."

"Misanthropy is thus, something that initially seems like a blanket, some condemnation of a category - humankind or values, respectively - but turns out to be a highly selective system of finding only the meaningful in those groups by denying their objective absolute status as law. Some would call this "elitism," but what is elitism except a form of meritocracy - picking the best and holding them up as an example to the rest? The crowd is fine with that when you pick the best by wealth, or looks, but when you start picking them by character, they feel threatened. They should. For several thousand years now, our society has made the assumption that people of any character can be shaped by external rules and made to function as a social machine. Now that civilization is fully plunging into its self-created abyss, the few thinkers who haven't been killed by the crowd are looking more critically at that idea, and instead electing once again to esteem the internal values that, a long time ago, made our civilization reach for higher concepts. These higher concepts have been dragged into the mud by the fear of the crowd, and it is selective and cynical philosophies like misanthropy and nihilism that oppose this."

"Difficult men are considered cool, romantic, interesting. Difficult women are considered deranged, sicko, neurotic nymphos."

"A widely held criticism of law is that it is a tool used by those with power to serve their ends. Rather than upholding principle, law thus distorts our shared values and common sense by its application of rarified opaque terminology and legalistic logic, rooted in arcane precedent and procedure, which drives outcomes which often defy what makes good sense."

"Being bored is a pastime of the boring."

"The cure for boredom is curiosity. There is no cure for curiosity."

"There are no facts, only interpretations."

"You can't do something right and smart...at the same time."

"I wouldn't take away all the horror in the world for all the money in it"

"A great deal of time and intellectual force are lost in the world, because the false seems great and the truth so small and insignificant."

"All absolutely good things are based on absolute evil."

"Love, like hatred, is just another neuroactive vice (people love to confuse themselves with it because it's built in). It just remains more weirdness that's fun to experiment with, but sad to watch people overdose on."

"Atheists that are only atheists out of an abudance of faith in science are among the most disgusting hypocrites I've come across."

"For me, it is far better to grasp the universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring."

"Dude, he just goes around imposing his will on people. He's my idol."

"Nature is not a feminist, nature doesn't care about women, nature only cares about the perpetuation of the species. Nature is a bitch."

"In this dangerous world, intelligence and cunning are your only true allies."

"It takes two people to create a work of art. One to do it, and one to beat them over the head when they’re done."

"The will to live is biological; the will to die is psychological."

"In a society that has abolished all adventures, the only adventure remaining is to abolish society."

"To a correspondent who complains of worry and disgust with all things: 'There is a sentimen', he writes, 'or rather a habit that you seem to be lacking, to wit, the love of contemplation. Take life, the passions, and yourself as subjects for intellectual exercises.' And again: 'Skepticism will have nothing of the bitter, for it will seem that you are at humanity’s comedy and it will seem to you that history crosses the world for you alone.'"

"A lack of weakness does not denote strength."

"Man is a creature, an idiot, an animal. A woman simply knows, yet she still is --- the purest basis of any brand of misogyny."

"Do I really look like a guy with a plan?"

"It’s cosmically yet adorably tragic how often misanthropists will overtly express their necessity of the people around them."

"Time Destroys Everything"

"Optimists believe we live in the best of all possible worlds. Pessimists fear this is true!"

"I love making minority women seethe by proudly displaying miscegenation. It’s like popping bubble wrap."

"Consistently, misery has a basis in truth. Consistently, happiness has a basis in ignorance."

"I look at it this way...For centuries now, man has done everything he can to destroy, defile, and interfere with nature: clear-cutting forests, strip-mining mountains, poisoning the atmosphere, over-fishing the oceans, polluting the rivers and lakes, destroying wetlands and aquifers... so when nature strikes back, and smacks him on the head and kicks him in the nuts, I enjoy that. I have absolutely no sympathy for human beings whatsoever. None. And no matter what kind of problem humans are facing, whether it's natural or man-made, I always hope it gets worse."

"Bad shit happens in the world. The heart doesn't enter into it, it merely causes it."

"Talking much about oneself can also be a means to conceal oneself."

"One must choose between loving women and knowing them."

"The majority of gamers have simply opted for gluttony instead of range."

"With only a few short years of evolution, they've been able to*conquer this starship, mankind's mightiest creation. Where were we*after forty years of evolution? What swamp were we swimming around in,*single celled and mindless? What if SHODAN's creations are superior to*us? What will they become in a million years, in ten million years?*What's clear is that SHODAN shouldn't be allowed to play God. She's*far too good at it."

"Man has imagined a heaven, and has left entirely out of it the supremest of all his delights, the one ecstasy that stands first and foremost in the heart of every individual of his race -- and of ours -- sexual intercourse! It is as if a lost and perishing person in a roasting desert should be told by a rescuer he might choose and have all longed-for things but one, and he should elect to leave out water! His heaven is like himself: strange, interesting, astonishing, grotesque. I give you my word, it has not a single feature in it that he actually values. It consists -- utterly and entirely -- of diversions which he cares next to nothing about, here in the earth, yet is quite sure he will like them in heaven. Isn't it curious? Isn't it interesting?"

"Planet Bog -- Pools of toxic chemicals bubble under a choking atmosphere of poisonous gases... but aside from that, it's not much like Earth."

"If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything."

"Of the crooked timber of humanity, no straight thing can ever be made."

"So far as I can remember, there is not one word in the Gospels in praise of intelligence."

"Success has always been a great liar."

"If knowledge can create problems, it is not through ignorance that we can solve them."

"So sweet, so alive...pain is such a vital part of realizing one's existence..."

"A casual stroll through the lunatic asylum shows that faith does not prove anything."

"Forget the politicians. The politicians are put there to give you the idea that you have freedom of choice … you don’t. You have no choice. You have owners. They own you. They own everything. They own all the important land. They own, and control the corporations. They’ve long since bought, and paid for the Senate, the Congress, the state houses, the city halls, they got the judges in their back pockets and they own all the big media companies, so they control just about all of the news and information you get to hear. They got you by the balls.

They spend billions of dollars every year lobbying … lobbying, to get what they want … Well, we know what they want. They want more for themselves and less for everybody else, but I’ll tell you what they don’t want … they don’t want a population of citizens capable of critical thinking. They don’t want well informed, well educated people capable of critical thinking. They’re not interested in that … that doesn’t help them. That’s against their interests.

That’s right. They don’t want people who are smart enough to sit around a kitchen table and think about how badly they’re getting fucked by a system that threw them overboard 30 fuckin’ years ago. They don’t want that. You know what they want? They want obedient workers … Obedient workers, people who are just smart enough to run the machines and do the paperwork. And just dumb enough to passively accept all these increasingly shittier jobs with the lower pay, the longer hours, the reduced benefits, the end of overtime and vanishing pension that disappears the minute you go to collect it, and now they’re coming for your Social Security money. They want your fuckin’ retirement money.

They want it back so they can give it to their criminal friends on Wall Street, and you know something? They’ll get it … they’ll get it all from you sooner or later cause they own this fuckin’ place. It’s a big club and you ain’t in it. You and I are not in The big club. By the way, it’s the same big club they use to beat you over the head with all day long when they tell you what to believe. All day long beating you over the head with their media telling you what to believe, what to think and what to buy.

The table has tilted folks. The game is rigged and nobody seems to notice. Nobody seems to care. Good honest hard-working people … white collar, blue collar it doesn’t matter what color shirt you have on. Good honest hard-working people continue, these are people of modest means … continue to elect these rich cocksuckers who don’t give a fuck about you. They don’t give a fuck about you … they don’t give a fuck about you. They don’t care about you at all … at all … at all, and nobody seems to notice. Nobody seems to care. That’s what the owners count on. The fact that Americans will probably remain willfully ignorant of the big red, white and blue dick that’s being jammed up their assholes everyday, because the owners of this country know the truth. It’s called the American Dream cause you have to be asleep to believe it."

"You have your way. I have my way. As for the right way, the correct way, and the only way, it does not exist."

"Life's a game and it's not fair."

"When you're deepy truly happy, it's a good sign you're doing everything wrong."

"Why would you feel sorry for someone that gets to opt out of the inane courteous formalities which are utterly meaningless, insincere and therefore degrading? This kid doesn't have to pretend to be interested in your back pain, your secretions or your grandma's itchy place. Imagine how liberating it would be to live a life free of all the mind-numbing social niceties. I don't pity this kid - I envy him."

"There is more wisdom in your body than in your deepest philosophy."

"The truth means nothing to a woman."

"Perfect existence, eh? Perfect does not exist in this world, it may seem like a cliche, but its true. Obviously mediocre fools will forever lust perfection and seek it out. However, what meaning is there in perfection? None, not one bit. Perfection disgusts me. After perfection there exists nothing higher. Not even creation. There is no room for wisdom or talent either. Understand? To scientists such as ourselves, perfection is despair. Even if something is created that is more magnificent than anything before it, it will still be far from perfect. Scientists are constantly struggling with than antinomy. And furthermore must become beings capable of drawing pleasure from such. In other words, the instant that absurd word "perfection" came from your lips, you had already been defeated by me."

"Her name is ANARCHY and she has taught me more as a mistress than you ever did. She has taught me justice is meaningless without freedom. She is honest. She makes no promises and keeps none. Unlike YOU, Jezabel."

"The most brilliant people also have the most persuasive demons."

"Just thinking about love can get you into trouble."

"Society often forgives the criminal; it never forgives the dreamer."

"Seriously, I find it more comforting to stick my finger in an anthill than to have a conversation with any two people in this world."

"Cuts and death are just costs for having fun!!!"

"We're a generation of men that were raised by women, I'm beginning to wonder if another woman is the answer we really need."

"Grief is Newark,....kay it's there....can't avoid it. The idea is to hold your nose, hope the traffic's not too bad and get on to Manhattan as quickly as possible, not to buy property."

"GOD: The creation of a sick fantasy. Inhabitant of senile and impotent brains. Companion and comforter of rancid spirits born to slavery. A pill for constipated minds. Marxism for the faint of heart.

HUMANITY: An abstract word with a negative connotation, long on power, short on truth. An obscene mask painted on the mean face of a shrewd vulgarian for the purpose of dominating the multitude of sentimentalist idiots and imbeciles.

COUNTRY: Penal servitude for the semi-intelligent, a cowshed of imbecility. A Circe who transforms her adoring fans into dogs and pigs. A prostitute for the master, a pimp of the foreigner. Child-eater, parent-slanderer and scoffer at heroes.

FAMILY: The denial of love, life and liberty.

SOCIALISM: Discipline, discipline; obedience, obedience; slavery and ignorance, pregnant with authority. A bourgeois body grotesquely fattened by a vulgar christian creature. A medley of fetishism, sectarianism and cowardice.

ORGANIZATIONS, LEGISLATIVE BODIES AND UNIONS: Churches for the powerless. Pawnshops for the stingy and weak. Many join to live parasitically off the backs of their card-carrying simpleton colleagues. Some join to become spies. Others, the most sincere, join to end up in jail from where they can observe the mean-spiritedness of all the rest.

SOLIDARITY: The macabre altar used by capable comedians of all sort to display their priestly talent for reciting masses. The beneficiaries pay nothing less than 100% humiliation.

FRIENDSHIP: Fortunate are those who have drunk from its chalice without having their souls offended or poisoned. If one such person exists, I urge them to send me their photograph. I'm sure to look upon the face of an idiot.

LOVE: Deception of the flesh and damage to the spirit. Disease of the soul, atrophy of the brain, weakening of the heart, corruption of the senses, poetic lies from which one gets ferociously inebriated two or three times a day in order to consume this precious but stupid life more quickly. And yet I would prefer to die of love. It's the only swindler, after Judas, that can kill with a kiss.

MAN: A filthy paste of servitude, tyranny, fetishism, fear, vanity -and ignorance. The greatest offence one can commit against an ass is to call it a man.

WOMAN: The most brutal of enslaved beasts. The greatest victim shuffling on earth. And, after man, the most responsible for her problems. I'd be curious to know what goes through her mind when I kiss her."

"No one ever committed suicide while reading a good book, but many have tried while trying to write one."

"Roses are red, violets are blue, everything's possible, nothing is true."

"Creativity is a bloody nuisance and an evil curse that will see to it that you die from stress and alcohol abuse at a very early age, that you piss off all your friends, break appointments, show up late, and have this strange bohemian urge (you know that decadent laid-back pimp-style way of life). The truly creative people I know all live lousy lives, never have time to see you, don’t take care of themselves properly, have weird tastes in women and behave badly. They don’t wash and they eat disgusting stuff, they are mentally unstable and are absolutely brilliant."

"Fear is the mother of morality."

"People don’t read enough. And what reading we do is cursory, without absorbing the subtleties and nuances that lie deep within - Wow, you’ve stopped paying attention, haven’t you? People can’t even read a coffee cup without drifting off."

"Conversation is nothing more than a competition to display patience towards waiting for one's own turn to speak."

"All people are capable of the most atrocious things given the right situation, and the worst things imaginable have been done with the best intentions."

"Sanity is nothing but a poor man's means of solace."

"There's two ways to slide through life, believe everything or doubt everything. Both save you from actually thinking"

"With my intelligence and tokenism, the sky's the limit."

"I have never let my schooling interfere with my education."

"Only those who go too far risk finding out how far they can go."

"There are problems in today's world that cannot be solved by the level of thinking that created them"

"One cannot be a part-time nihilist."

"Now I love America. I LOVE America. I have to say that America is the greatest country in the world —- it’s the greatest country in the world, there’s no place I’d rather be, rather be from, and we’re all lucky to be here! Everybody in this room, lucky to be here —- EVEN black people, all lucky to be here, but if you’re black, you look at America a little differently. If you’re black, America is like the uncle that paid your way through college…but molested you."

"If you place small value on yourself, the world will not raise the price."

"Art school doesn't teach you anything, you know."

"I've no need for the now-abused definition of romance. I can taste love in my dreams, and even then, it still kind of makes me nauseous."

"Humans aren't capable of recognizing quality thoughts and ideas in their own time, isn't that funny?"

"The rule is, only the white man can profit from pain. Only the white man can profit from pain. So if you’re black or brown, you can make money and prosper and get rich in America. But whatever you decide to do, it BETTER be positive."

"If you open your mind too much, your brain will fall out!"

"Words divide us, action unites us."

"Destroy or be destroyed—there is no middle way! Let us then be the destroyers!"

"Saying 'we're not all as strong as you' is just a tactful way of saying 'you should be as weak as us'."

"If you ain't angry, you ain't paying attention."

"I'm interested in this fucked up world!"
