An upgrade to the standard AV-19 Sparrowhawk, the AV-19 Sparrowhawk - ONI Variant sport much more equipment and firepower then the previous model. Additionally, the AV-19 Sparrowhawk - ONI Variant is capable of faster speeds due to the increased efficiency of the VTOL engines. The Hull of the AV-19 Sparrowhawk - ONI Variant is composed of multi-layered reinforced titanium alloy, supplemented with a heat dispersing outer coating to reduce plasma damage. The windows are composed a a damage resistant transparent metal that is highly resilliant to cracking or shattering. The AV-19 Sparrowhawk - ONI Variant is incapable of hauling equipment, but can support up to two soldiers on each wing for support. The weapon systems on the AV-19 Sparrowhawk - ONI Variant have been improved as well. The two AIE-486H Heavy Machine Guns have an increased rate of fire, a rate that far exceeds the capabilities of the AV-14 Hornet - ONI Variant, allowing for this vehicle to provide even better fire support for ground teams. The two Class-2 Guided Munition Launch System have remained unchanged from the AV-14 Hornet. However, the AV-19 Sparrowhawk sports a single GUA-23/AW/Linkless Feed Autocannon. This extra turret provides far more firepower then the AV-14 Hornet and is thus, more idea when facing heavy equipment such as Scarabs.
