Vocal Style
It begins with a few sung lines on the 1:27 long "To End The Rapture", then almost immediatly explodes into the creaming M. Shadows we all know and love on "Turn The Other Way". They got M. Shadows's girlfriend to do some screaming on "The Art Of Subconcious Illusion". It slows down considerably into tyhe more rock-ballad-y "Warmness On The Soul". He decides to go solid singing, but i beleive that the vocals could use some work, but its their first album, so what do you excpect? It continues to switch beetween singing and screaming throughout the rest of the album. Some call it screamo, wrong. The correct term is "metalcore".
Vocal Style Rating: 9/10

Guitar Style:

Some riffs are pure thrasher, like on "Darkness Surrounding", others more laid back, like on "To End The Rapture", others in between, like on "Turn The Other Way". The only solo is on "To End The Rapture" because their lead guitarist Synyster Gates joined after this album was originally made and they re-released it because of that. Acoustic guitars are including on a few of them, to create a slower, more laid-back vibe.
Guitar Style Rating: 10/10

Bass Style
Its never the most audible instrument, ut you can hear it quite a bit on this album. It usually follows the guitar line, other times you can hear a different, faster paced bass line. Its a different bassist on this album (Dameon Ash), than their current one (Johnny Christ), but he still does a great job.
Bass Style Rating: 10/10

Drum Style
Even on their first album at 18 years of age, Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan is still a crazy fuckin drummer. He's always been a freak at laying down an insane beat, or just doing some crazy fill. The Opening to "Streets" is a combination of a solid double-kick beat along with a crazy fast beat on the toms accompanied by bass. Overall, he's just fuckin insane.
Drum Style Rating: 10/10

Overall Rating: 39/40

I personally love this album, but if you sdont like screamedlyrics, DONT listen to it and complain to me about spreding the word of how awesome it is. That is just an personal opinion.
