The Swarm - Story by Killer 2, TNO registered user Prologue Grant was doing a regular scouting mission, jogging along th perimeter of the space marine territory. "Good thing the scout party split up, or it would have taken ages to scout this entire perimeter," Grant sighed in relief. As he continued jogging along the lush green hills of Fraxus VI he started looking out at the horizon, the sun was just setting and was casting a final glow over the edge of the hilltops. "Beautiful..." Grant said to himself, gazing at the glorious sunset. Grant watched the sun sink beneath the hills and watched the sky start to dim. "Oh Crap, better finish my perimeter check and get back to base before they notice im late!", the young space marine thought, picking up his pace. In the dim light, Grant couldn't see much, but he thought he heard a rustling in some foliage nearby. "probably just a native animal." grant thought dismissively, moving on. Soon thereafter Grant felt a small brush against his foot, he emediatly looked down, and saw a small, ugly creature staring up at him with beady eyes, another one emerged from the foliage, then another and another. "Wait a minute.. those aren't native animals, those are... tyranids!" grant thought, starting to panic. Grant broke off into a run and got a head start but the small tyranids where faster and more agile, they quickly caught up to him and one jumped on him, biting into his neck, Grant screamed and fell onto the ground. More of the creatures swarmed onto him clawing and biting him, until his screams stopped and all that was left where bones and bits of flesh.
